HOI4 has a more fundamental flaw: it's "balanced" so that players can easily "win" while playing as any of the major combatants... and realism gets thrown out the window.
This is an issue with all their games, though, it is both. They balance it around their terrible AI. So while the final Roman-Persian war in history was an aberration where both sides rushed each others capitals while ignoring everything else. A highly unusual war that was noted for its daring tactics (brought on by necessity). That is EVERY EU4 war.
I gave up on HOI4 when I realised the game didn't reward players for trying to play properly or logically, but rewarded players for making meme units and spam charging towards a capital to force capitulation.

Are Tac Bombers still God Tier btw? Last time I played there was literally no need to build anything else, just tac bombers leg infantry and fighters, not even a navy was required.

I can assist in any facet of the war. If it drags on too long and we are forced to rely on more pre-industrial equipment than we already are I have extensive playtime in Europa Universalis, and if need be should the conflict drag out longer and we are forced to use spears I have considerable playtime in Crusader Kings II. I have briefly played Imperator Rome so should the war continue into 2024 I can assist, although I have never played as any Gallic tribes.

Why, back in my day we appointed commanders at the division level with an emphasis on logistically-capable commanders to minimize the amount of IC spent on supply generation. That way you had enough IC to upgrade all your amored car brigades into assault guns just in time for the invasion of France- which was the meta at the time. Anyways, I needed an airbase for my bombers to strike the UK from across the channel, so I decided to blitzkrieg the Frankreich, which is what we called France in those days. Now, I liked to ally Belgium and the Netherlands because it put my armored divisions up to 100km closer to Paris in some areas- even though it was a drain on leadership points in the buildup of the war and left you without enough officers. Once you invaded Poland you could switch your conscription laws and get far more officers per point of leadership than you could pre-war. Now, where was I? Oh, the important thing is that I had assault gun brigades in my divisions- which was the meta at the time. They didn't have cast armor- because of the war- the only thing you could get was those big welded pieces...
Army esports team isn't that fancy when you realize the US Army also has football teams, baseball teams etc all played by US army troops like esports. Its less propaganda and more a social activity for troops not to die or kill out of boredom.
