I like to use steamunlocked.net since the majority of games come installed so no unpackers and stuff. Just unzip and then point steam to the .exe.

i use an app called "feem", no need for setup, just have it installed on both devices and be connected to the same network

Warpinator for Linux/Deck, Winpinator for Windows.
there's an addon called deckmtp that lets you transfer files from your laptop/desktop to your SteamDeck via usb.
Windows has build in network sharing lmao, just go to folder properties and share it with one click.
its way easier to pirate on a SteamDeck than it is to hack and pirate on a switch.

Not sure if this is your photo, but does FFX/X-2 HD work fine on Deck? I know this is a stupid question given the photo, but how's the performance? Do FMVs randomly turn green like they do in Windows (at least for me)? I had to drop my playthrough because I kept getting green screens and it was incredibly immersion-breaking.

Just get a Windows handheld. Linus is still bad and SD has very poor specs. A OneXfly is $700 for way better everything.
