This is writing that belongs in an elementary school paper, not an AAA game.
One of the most worthwhile games people know about. Obviously it's a story game, so it's never going to be great. But by AAA standards, it's exceptional.
the gameplay is an improvement in every way over the first one. you will never hear anyone on Ganker talk about it's gameplay, because theres nothing wrong with it and it's actually intense and fun. the story and characters on the other hand, are dogshit compared to the first game. i will say the flashback sequences are fun and lighthearted, although it's a bit too saccharine for my tastes. all in all though, i don't know if i'd hate the story as much as i do if i wasn't spoiled by Ganker and the leaks and colored by Ganker's visceral hatred.
the story would have been better if Ellie had a stronger effect towards the wolves, like she has been slaughtering their men and not a single peep from their side. i think the end game should have been more about the wolves losing morale and splintering into different groups as more of them come to grips with the reality that they couldn't kill a single woman. also Abster and Ellie should have encountered each other more.
