I'd like to play 1 and 2, but I just can't deal with that incredibly high encounter rate
It's not even just that, but the summoning and card farming is worse than FFVIII.
But 2 is great with a speed up button.
I haven't played 2 yet, but in 1 you can literally just befriend the demons and talk to them to have them automatically end encounters for you and you maybe get some free cash or an item. You can effectively turn encounters off if you put in the effort to negtiate with demons for their card.
Remove the calendar system and do something different for once instead of aping 3's mechanics without designing things to properly fit around it and complement it.
Persona hasn't been fresh in a decade.
