I judge them on the same merits as the game itself, and on how well they uphold the base game's standards or expand upon them in the case of an expansion mod
Those coomer graphics mods for DD for example, are completely worthless because they don't adhere to the base game's artstyle, and instead look like crayon drawings on top of a painting >3 inventory rows

Honestly some of the mechanics are so fricking bad, if they made it harder to get diseases through combat, and made WINNING a dungeon not have a chance to inflict you with a variety of mega aids, it wouldn't even be half of the way to decent gameplay. If I were to list everything that makes it bad it would take so fricking long.
