I like early dragon stages more(wingless) they feel way more alien. There were also murals on Kalaks ziggurat with dragons using weird canes to move. That would be cool too.
I love this setting. GMed a few sessions loosely based on Crawling Shadow by R.E.Howard last month. In the end players never meet the 'shadow', neither managed to discover full scope of mysteries within forgotten city unraveled from beneath dunes by howling winds. They went to far, didn't map their way properly and got mauled to death by malformed minotaur-like beast within ruins.

If I really had to guess judging by the writing in the old systems, generic evil shit.
Probably a lot of sacrifice, probably searches and researches ways to keep Rajaat imprisoned better (there are none) or to kill him (there are none), probably a lot of wandering and self reflection that leads to murderous rages. He seems to be a being fueled by his own impotence. Probably searches for and puts down upstart dragons and makes sure the sorcerer kings aren't planning anything that would destabilize the situation.
To add characterization of my own;
He's the most powerful thing on the planet; but if he flexes any of that power he runs the risk of depleting the world of its dwindling resources and allowing his archnemesis to return. There's not escape from the future he helped to create. There's no moment of rest. He's trapped in an endless cycle of rage and ennui that torturing weaker beings only temporarily alleviates.

The idea that someone else might reach his level of existence is deeply threatening, and not just because he might have an actual rival one day. I feel like seeing someone else succeed in the transformation while undergoing the same immense physical pain would hurt what tiny dried up raisin of a soul Borys has left. It’d be like watching his own rise and fall all over again, from an out-of-body perspective
