No idea why, but I always ended up gravitating towards the "old man" archetype because they usually have my favorite playstyles. Goldlewis, Kum Haeyun, Kliff, probably Enkidu, he looks to be a sorta-ancient dude.
given the characters i select in fighting games i don’t have any certain unifying theme behind them
which is funny when people say that they thought i’d pick this or that character just because i picked this or that character in like street fighter or some shit
That’s a terrible list. But I’d say I started as a Palette swap because beating a shryuken with a bigger shryuken is the definition of winning. Monster and grapplers are what really got me into the genre. I don’t know what the anti hero is supposed to be gameplay wise, just pure edginess? I’ve found that currently I feel the need to play Mime characters, I’ve wrecked with Shang Tsung, and I’ve devoted a lot of time to Twelve.
either manly badass dudes (many times final bosses) like heihachi/dudley, or kind hearted monsters/robots/creatures like amingo/aganos/android16, maybe joke characters if they have a cool side like Ganryu
grapplers are cool. king (tekken) and clark (kof) are pretty sick. for some reason, i find the ‘realistic’ throws alot more awesome than anime shit like potemkin.

For me I go for the first broken meta dlc character because it’s not a real fighting game until I’m sold Legacy characters or a brand new meta as dlc
what’s the difference between femme fatale and agent
Lets make a better list
>shoto
>zoner
>staller
>grappler
>puppeteer
>rushdown
>stance changer
>item/trap/weapon
what else?
Need a good name for characters with rekkas, or is that staller? What’s Taskmaster? Soul caliber characters? Hell what category is Honda?
>what category is Honda?

Weirdos like Faust and Teddie
Cute girl or if there’s a faster grappler I usually go for those
The fat guy
The Grappler or any type of character that let’s me get one unga bunga off to bring my opponent down 50%.
