For me it's dwarf fortress
Super easy to add, combine, and troubleshoot mods but even if you finally get your wack-ass witcher slash cthulhu slash lord of the flies modpack working you're still making another perpetually self-sustainable fort within a month or an invincible dodgemaxxed murderhobo adventurer checking names off the legends page.
hand picked sets vs one at a time installation of the things you want. I get it but sometimes a well curated list of mods can often be pretty nice especially if you enjoyed the game vanilla and want a new experience. of course if you get the ultimate gooner kit you can't expect much besides some specific fetish nonsense.
Fallout 4 >download that one gun mod that requires you to download all the gun mods individually and merge them >relearn how to clean and merge files >do this for 40 other mods >ssd corrupted >boot into Linux to rescue data off the drive >give up

Only autists install mods manually anymore. Non-autists just download polished modlists and hit play.
>Only autists install mods manually anymore
That's me but I do little edits to the mods or fix problems.
This must be why half of the games I enjoy are labeled as "autism games"
>polished modlists
I want to handpick what I like, not have some probably pedo troony tell me what I will like
