No game actually. Ganker has pretty good taste. I got Dragon's Dogma, which was great, SMT Nocturne, which was great, The Binding of Isaac, don't know if I should classify it as a recommend, but I did buy it thanks to the threads, FFO SoP was fantastic... I loved DMC5.
In my case i have to play Xeno 1 because i loved 2 and i want to play 3 as well. 1 is seen as the best thing since the watercooler in the xeno community but its goddamn awful and i get shills defending it every time i say relevant stuff like the side quests are stupid,game is made to punish multi enemy fights but there are multiple required fights which put you into that situation and the awful leveling curve where i can't ignore SQ because i have to keep my level close to the enemy...i mean from 42 to 48 then 52 then fricking 60 and 70 boss levels...the last 2 aren't even apart

It's just not fricking fun, I think people conflate "going around in good-looking settings" with fun.

The reason why I got into Icepick Lodge games, which are absolutely my favorite games ever, was because an ancient Ganker recommendation chart. Back in like 2008 or even earlier. It listed both Pathologic and The Void (at the time still only known as Turgor) as a must-play games.
That changed my view of videogames for ever.
