Why do all Mass Effect guns look like absolute shit? No style, no substance, most of them don't even look like guns and intead plastic toys with lights on the side it's fricking horrible.
They kinda screwed themselves with the whole "3 small squares on Shepard's back that unfold into kinda guns" design choice.
What horrible fricking reasoning and I believe it because the incompetence of Bioware is astounding. I don't know how any of them could go so far off the grid and never realize or say to themselves just how ugly their guns really are, not even Star Wars has repulsive designs being in a high tech retrofuture setting.
It became an iconic look. I didn't play ME until years later and I associated it with ME. Of course fan boys loved it and now your stuck with that look.

50's tech didn't look that disgusting, blocky and boring frick outta here. Fallout had some very aesthetic guns that still looked like guns and not toys.

i didn't like the sound effect for the USP. it sounded like a salt shaker.
Yeah the usp was trash but the Beretta and Glock were beast mode.

for best I'm gonna be a total hipster and say planetside 2's frickhuge NS revolvers, i remember having oodles of fun with those years back- only downside is that they can't OHK even with a headshot unlike similar revolvers in the battlefield games that PS2 cloned
worst is of course HL2's USP and it's pathetic paff paff paff pea shooterism
Not technically a pistol, but anything that lets me fire a big frickoff 6 shooter is good in my books. Fallout New Vegas awoken my fetish for big fricking revolvers with the Ranger Sequoia
