Hunt showdown
There are no black powder rifles in Hunt Showdown.
Most of the roaster is black powder
Completely pointless distinction, the guns all use cartridges.
Wonder what's inside the cartridges...
why my peanus weenus of course
gunpowder.
>roaster
Mountain Blade: With Fire and Sword
I said no strategy, pal.
What I wouldn't give for a single player mode.
>I said no strategy, pal.
Very funny, but even if you meme it as a strategy game, that just means I didn't go for hard mode
dude, mount and blade is an action game. sure the overworld map has some degree of strategy, but you'll be including most other genres in this definition
Yeah, but it's mostly strategy with the unit management and all that. I was hoping for something more adventure-ish.
theres no unit management homie unless you include pressing f1 and then f3 once at every battle start unit management
Darkest of Days
He's talking about running around on the map, hiring and upgrading units. Some underageb&s are allergic to any game that's not just a TPS
>Darkest of Days
isnt that the one where you're a time traveller or something. also for other black powder games i think there are a bunch of shitty history channel games that include that
>isnt that the one where you're a time traveller
Aye
You got to manage units, supplies, reputation and all that. Not really what I'm looking for at the moment.
I forget what that one timetravel game is named, where you insert into various civil war/world war periods in history and try to prevent things from getting fricked up, but I'm pretty sure that one at least visited a few points where blackpowder rifles were in use.
Oh hey I found it. Darkest of Days, the time travel organization recruits people who historically died or disappeared in certain historical battles. Your player character was recruited from the Battle of Little Big Horn.
Sounds fun, I'll have to look it up
Ultimate General: Civil War
Based, my favorite Total War ripoff.
>Total War ripoff.
It's a spiritual successor to Sid Meier's Gettysburg which came out long before Total War.
You can argue semantics if you want, IIRC Gettysburg plays more like one of those large-scale RTSes where you move units all over the map like Hegemony
It's made by the guy who modded Total War before, so I'll stand by it. It's not supposed to be a negative anyway, the unit control and terrain is way better than any gunpowder TW
Well, it would surely have to take place in American civil war or thereabouts, because prior to that rifles weren't common (granted, not totally absent), and not too long afterwards you'd use smokeless powder.
is a good pick for that.
Holdfast
fable 2
>tfw no PC
Serious Sam has a cannon.
There was that Battlefield mod (?) called Pirates, Vikings, and Knight back in my day
I don't think I've ever played any mods, but I did play all of the old Battlefields up to and including Vietnam. And then even 2142 for a bit.
Oh yeah my bad it was a Source game
Arcanum
I love Arcanum but no, its guns are terrible all around
Aren't guns shit compared to magic?
yeah but they have more style. a gentleman in a smoking jacket and a elephant gun is much cooler to play as than some filthy m*ge wearing dirty robes and carrying a stick.
While I agree I remember a fair amount of content is locked behind the necromancy spell, which makes the balance even worse.
>I remember a fair amount of content is locked behind the necromancy spell
You mean talking to ghosts? That's just there so you can talk to quest-important NPC's that you killed, only works on a handful of NPC's, you don't really need it
I haven't played it (I will eventually) but from what I understand, tech and magic kind of cancel each other out so it requires two playthroughs for the full experience anyway, no?
They're shit compared to tech melee weapons too. They are also not implemented well, which what this thread is about it.
>a gentleman in a smoking jacket and a elephant gun
Sounds reddit af 2bh
That meme game where everyone yells on the mic
Holdfast or maybe war of rights
ac3
I genuinely love that game because of it.
The Washington DLC was funny, that's the literal only good thing I can say about that game
I suppose if I really wanted to stretch a shit game to be positive, I could say that it invented the boat combat which paved the way for Black gay
I'm just a big fan of the setting. I can't think of another action adventure game that lets you explore the American frontier.
