They are easily dealt with. I have 10 hours in vic2 and played as Germany and beat the frick out of everyone with ease and I didn’t even know about liqqy meta, I just let my capitalist build everything for me.
I quite literally just let the game play itself and declared wars when I felt like it
When I play ck2 and don’t pay attention my nobles rise up in every province and overthrow me
I love the game but i gotta be controversial and say its really not THAT complicated. Atleast not in AI games. Even the whole logistics system is fairly easy to understand.
Of course, it probably requires a pretty big brain to win a proper MP game on that.
I prefer Vic's other game, Advanced Tactics Gold, for pvp matches against other humans. Definitely gives you the big brain moment feeling when you crush your enemy.

>Captivated by her beauty, Pike is caught off guard and is captured by the Talosians, a race of humanoids with bulbous heads who live beneath the planet's surface. It is revealed that the distress call, and the crash survivors, except for Vina, are just illusions created by the Talosians to lure the Enterprise to the planet. While imprisoned, Pike uncovers the Talosians' plans to repopulate their ravaged planet using him and Vina as breeding stock for a race of slaves.

Garg Grigsby's War in the East is definitely top tier gigamind shit for wargamers.
Zachtronics also an epic developer as far as programming/engineering games go.
Victoria 3, you really need to be very SMART and possibly have a degree in economics to really get a grasp of this indepth economic simulator, is really not for everyone and you can understand the frustration of lesser minds who can't play it properly.
A game can have a million systems and modifiers, but if you play it the same way each time by min maxing based on the advice of a youtube vid, its not big brained in the slightest.
This. The more complex it gets, the bigger possibility for cheesing. Sometimes it's satisfying, like in roguelikes, where you can work out bs solutions for bs encounters.
I would say that polished minimalism of simpler games with narrower scope is where you can experience elaborate strategies.

CK2, when I was a teenager. Terra Invicta, until winning was a forgone conclusion, and then I slogged it out for 50 hours for the achievement.
I think I feel more stimulated by well-done narrative games like Disco Elysium than I do by spreadsheet simulators these days.
yep
>CK2
I don't know why people find CK2 complex, especially compared to autism of VI2.
CK2 is so simple:
>declare war
>raise army
>win
>repeat
Every game is pretty easy when you go for reduction ab absurdum.
>vic2
>build liquor factory
>watch money go up
not my experience
>pay no attention
>billion revolutionaries spawn in every province

Yeah it’s not that complex, it just takes a minute to figure out the shitty UI, but it’s still fun as shit to me
I think it's fun too. I just wish the AI was better at playing it.
yeah, it's like parashit games, looks a lot more complex than it actually is

one of my all time favorite, alongside cookie Ride VR that brings fun to travel times.

No you don't. Its a cookie clicker game.
I don't know about a degree in economics, but I certainly needed an apprenticeship in plumbing to sort out my toilet after playing!
Agreed. I have a bachelor's degree in woman's studies and watch Rick and Morty, but Victoria 3 was far too complex and deep for me.
using the campaign map in highfleet. particularly during missile duels and the endgame
