SH1 is still my very favorite.
I actually played the original Fatal Frame trilogy for the first time ever late last year. It was kickass.
You can get the PS2 originals from the PS3's PSN Store, and they worked great.
I considered playing SH3, but I've already kind of burnt out myself on SH1 and SH2 over summer (mea culpa), so I'll probably just replay Eternal Darkness, I am in the mood for some lovecraftian stuff anyway.

Yeah and 3 is also kind of underwhelming compared to 1 and 2, and also shorter

Recently I played Condemned : Bloodshot on Xenia emulator, and basically it was stupid it ruined the interesting premise of the first game
