The one on PS4 is a sequel masquerading as a remake. The enemies go off script and frick up the narrations plans halfway through the game and it's entirely different
The main difference is the loadouts and unique actions your weapons have. Otherwise it's a coop based third person action game designed around a boss rush mission structure where you take on a large monster with telegraphed attacks, body parts that have their own weaknesses and resistances and that reward you with materials to craft better weapons for beating them.
Then you really didn't look enough. Nobody ever argues that MH Stories is original or anything amazing gameplay wise. People just like it because it's cute, looks nice and has fun characters and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Not every game you like has to be unique and you can like a game with bad gameplay for it's other qualities.
The only good game scamman did after leaving Capcom. It deserves a port (with a UI overhaul, let's face ir, is ugly) but Sony doesn't fricking care about anything that is not a triple AAA movie game.
It's been a while but combine techniques for maximum damage, and definitely do the level 100 reset thing because the abilities you get from it are great
Vita thread? Nice, another chance to shill RESOGUN
Do you like arcade style games with great scoring systems, challenging mechanics, smart pacing that never has the game feeling dull and enough mechanical complexity to keep you engaged at all times? Then you'll love this one
The only good Vita exclusive.
Tearaway is great too.

Mediocre MH clone with fantastic atmosphere, music and lore.
it's not really a MH clone
similar mission structure but everything else is wildly different

Most video games have enemies with telegraphed attacks.
I don't see people saying shit about MH very own "pokemon clone".

>tfw you realize this Vita game has better and deeper lore than Dark Souls
I also realize that Vita is the last Sony console worth caring about.
Spirit tributes.

Pure ludo. Check out Freedom Wars and Muramasa Rebirth too.
Reading the lore of the monsters, this is very fricked up.
FULFILLING YOUR DUTY AS A SORCERER.
This game is basically Berserk as a MH game.
Monster Hunter has big swords. This game doesn't have big swords. What more to Berserk is there other than big swords?
It doesn't have big swords but it has "sacrifice something to become an abomination".
What's the point of playing this solo? Those who missed it missed it.
Do you say the same thing about older mh games? Git gud.
I played the original with live people, but not the sequel/remake/whatever it is.
Live, like in the room with you live? Online players might as well be NPCs.
The best part of the game is the backstory and designs. You can experience those alone just fine.
