S1 was bretty good. The animation was fukken horrid a lot of the times in the first half, but by the time they get to Justice for All, it levels itself out quite nicely. They also make some additions and changes to keep the pace up and add a bit more drama/reasoning behind scenes, along with charming moments like the members of Berry Big Circus helping out with a recreation of the crime. The second OP is also absolutely delightful
S2 I didn't watch, but it's all Trials and Tribulations despite also being 24 episodes long.

the great ace attorney 1+2 is arguably the best game in the franchise
layton vs attorney is EASILY the best layton game ever which isn't saying much at all
spirit of justice is decent but flawed
dual destinies is 100% skippable and imho worse than AJ
shame because athena is cute
i haven't played AAI2 yet because AAI1 was kind of tiresome to finish, i'll get there soon
I'm playing through Great Ace Attorney right now, god damn is it slow. I don't mean the plot, but just the game itself. Everyone needs to have their big animations for pretty much everything and that shit adds up. speeding up text is also fricked on the Switch.
