I still have bastion in my rotation on the regular, and have people call it out as good regularly, till they learn it's vidya music then their face contorts.
hotline miami is good for working out.
I would say Outer Wilds hands down, but I want to mention another great indie soundtrack. Flywrench has tracks from Machinedrum and Daedalus, and it's absolute fire, especially if you love DnB or Jungle.
>zer oranger
this thread just keeps getting better and better >tfw the trains flying onscreen syncing up with the music
it's so frickin good
on that note, anyone know what the FRICK makes onionwake play, if anything?
is that shit a black onion teaser or do i just suck too hard to hit 2-2 at max rank?
dt ost is pretty good too
i think normal enemy fight music from dt>ut
but of course for ch2 toby had to go and hire troony composers (what did i expect from the guy that cant make a game without filthy dykes)
The problem with vidya ost threads is human nature.
Most people tend to associate and remember tracks by the tangent factors, like presentation and contrast, but not by the quality of the piece itself. A lot of these are tracks from good games which are remembered only because the moment of the game during which it played is weightful.
Either way
i think the songs from 0-1 to 1-2 are mediocre at best, castle vein comes and blows that shit out of the water and from that point its pretty good
ORDER is undoubtedly my favorite though >forgive me, my children
La Mulana
Llama Llama 2
Seconding la mulana
My favourite OST overall would be Professor Layton but that's not an indie so next best is la-mulana
Bastion, I still listen to it while working out.
yeah, I love Bastion, I don't even like the games those frickers make, but the ost's are pretty good
I wish they made a sequel to Bastion
>We don't do sequels except we can make a sequel for fricking Hades lmao
Katana Zero, specifically the Live album by LudoWic
hotline miami but it uses actual songs so it doesnt count still a good playlist
probably Celeste then hollow knight.
Transistor is much, much better than Bastion in every single way
I liked Transistor but Bastion’s art direction has aged much better.
I’d almost like the hades soundtrack more if it wasn’t for the overuse of theremins
Pyre's OST mogs all of those. Music was a big theme of the game.
hyper light drifter
Crosscode
Furi's is pretty decent.
Kenshi
Both fertile and scorching wind are fricking banger
?si=xkO96mr_Fpsiids7
Bomb rush
?si=wXz2eSlF-kDjbfSy
personal fav
nice how is the game itself?
People think it's a Zelda clone, but it's actually a Dark Souls clone, but it's actually a Myst clone.
It's pretty good.
Old School Runescape

I suddenly have to take a giant shit.
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Kneel
rain world
Stardew Valley and it's not even close
Is Disco Elysium indie? If so then that. I would just zone out in Revachol enjoying the songs.
>Lisa
No fricking way you like this literal piece of shit farts and burps ost.
Legit had to turn down the volume everytime i went into battle.
?

?
Imagine having such shit taste
I don't need to when i can see you perfectly.
i've been listening to this one a lot lately. great ost and gameplay, mid everything else.
Really good soundtrack. Some of my best times are on Violet's levels just because I enjoyed listening to Rigged Game so much.
VVVVVV is the only acceptable answer
ikyk
DDLC
Pizza Towers OST is great
Mercenaries 2 (too bad about everything else about the game though)
>four autistic people make a fan mod
>it's better than the main game
>not only that it has one of the best soundtracks to ever grace the medium
also, danny baranowsky's work in general
MY MAN, The ost of rebirth sucks ass in comparison to the original one.
Allnoise almost makes me want to go to the void. Almost.
fr
Either the old Minecraft music or FTL
Tower of Heaven
>expect luna ascension for the frickzillionth time
>indignant divinity
based
>ost of rebirth sucks ass
damn this thread knows what's up
i dropped rebirth real fricking quick after hearing the music
only good one itt
neon white was good too and tunic gay could be right if he didn't post the whole ost
bastion is great
Hotline Miami
Serious Sam
Furi
Katana Zero
My friend Pedro
I love how Danny used the song structures of a rock song instead of going for the epic symphony loop on his earlier stuff.
Mins if I post some of the music I’m making for my game here? I think it’s pretty good.
>What is the best indie game soundtrack?
Cruelty Squad
I would say Outer Wilds hands down, but I want to mention another great indie soundtrack. Flywrench has tracks from Machinedrum and Daedalus, and it's absolute fire, especially if you love DnB or Jungle.
How is minecraft indie if its owned and managed by one the biggest tech corporations in the world?
gr8 b8 m8 i r8 it 8/8
The Minecraft soundtrack is fricking garbage and if you like it you're either nostalgiabrained or a troony
step aside plebs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlHKKdtLuqo
FRICK, i fricking forgot how good the ZR ost was. Void stranger too, this guy's a god.

OP I just want to say, this is the best thread on Ganker right now and I appreciate that you opened this thread. That is all.
Undertale. Not deltarune, it was a fluke and toby is by no means the best vidya composer. But that soundtrack is unmatched.
dt ost is pretty good too
