Starcraft 2 or the few brood wars homosexuals that will show up >Muh over 5000 quality of life features >Muh can run on every toaster >Muh look how smooth and perfect the gamplay is
Of course will show up people with >Reee i can't learn more than 5 buttons >Reee 400 APM is impossible >Reee Protoss cannon rushed my bootyhole
That's a tough one but I'ma go with Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne for best mix of great campaign, best-ever custom maps and fun game-modes, and strong multiplayer
It's only flaw is MP got so sweaty and weird with its mechanics due to the game's unusual design for my taste, but honestly it had more charm than the utterly sterile SC2 multiplayer experience even if I was pretty bad at it and stopped playing it
My honorable mentions: >Starcraft + Brood War >Heroes of Might and Magic 3 >Red Alert 2
Rise of Nations
It's a tossup between AOE2 and RA2.
The campaign in Rise of Nations is shit and that disqualifies it from the running.
Victoria 3
Objectively EU IV but in my personal opinion Rise of Nations
>objectively EU IV
It's the most well rounded title among PDX games which attracts both hardcore fans and casuals
Dune2000
That's like complimenting a pile of shit for smelling slightly less than the others
That's why it's the wrong answer, too many casuals enjoy it and it has no contrarian appeal.
>less moronic paraBlack person
kys
I play hoi4 on repeat

M.U.L.E.
Stronghold Crusader
CoH1
I'm not telling. You'll NEVER know.
Med 2
The tears of metaslaves when they are forced to play non-arabia maps are delicious
Age of war
That's a tough one but I'ma go with Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne for best mix of great campaign, best-ever custom maps and fun game-modes, and strong multiplayer

Warcraft 3 but of course the other usual suspects are great as well
SC2
>13 years running and still the premier RTS game
>still the premier RTS game
Isn't SC2 on life support?
AOE2 is getting content, new players, and lots of great venues like Heidelberg
Brood War is objectively the best, the rest are nostalgia/aesthetics picks.
Go. Simple yet complex.
