Not a successor since 4 and 5 were still 60% Dante. Nero hasn't even beat a big bad himself. Dante had to save him from both the Savior and Urizen 2, as well as weaken Vergil for him.
Dante in 4 was just backtracking levels Nero had already beat while missing some of the most imporant moments.
And Nero DID finish the big bad, both times in 4.
By your logic Dante never beat Mundus since he needed help from Trish.
>By your logic Dante never beat Mundus since he needed help from Trish.
Trish boosting Dante's guns a bit so he could land the final blow is not the same as Nero being completely out of comission after getting absorbed by the Savior and needing Dante to give him Yamato to come back. Or Urizen squeezing the life out of him and nearly killing him had SDT Dante not shown up.
Make him enough of a contrast to the previous protagonist that it's a breath of fresh air, while at the same time respecting the spirit of the original in his own way. Give him his own story where the player base grows to love him, so that interactions with the old protagonist don't feel like artificially propping the new one up. Then just actually commit to it instead of trying it for two games and then dropping the new protag/s for the old one.
Gohan was my ideal way assuming they actually go through with it, introduce a character that's young/raw and slowly grow them into the role. Time skips help too to give authenticity to the original protagonists accomplishments. X/Zero replacing Mega Man is done well, though it replaces building them up with a massive time skip.
>slowly grow them into the role
except gohan as a baby was already stronger than dragonball goku and as a kid he is already stronger than full grown adult goku how the frick does that make sense?
It depends on the chatacter. The Batfamily works because Batman has not been biten by a bat to get superpowers. He's just a rich dude with a private militia.
So Batman having a successful successor all comes down to the charisma of the character.
I don't think anyone would really complaim if Bruce was replaced by Dick or Damian.
For characters like Spider Man, who got their powers by luck, and Superman, who is an alien with inate powers, bith being more down to Earth and family oriented guys, the only viable way to make a successor is through a son. I'm actually surprised no one made a comic about Peter's son as Spider-man.
Nah, the OG is still making appearances, and they just launched a new Ultimate line where Peter has a kid daughter, inspired by the second Spider-Verse movie.
into the spider-verse is a great movie those both of these are good
why did they make him so ugly?
He looks better than the generic tranimu shonen protagonist look he had in 4.
no he looked good in 4 everyone is fricking hideous in 5
Cody Rhodes got popular.
goblin engine kills visual appeal for good framerate pls undastand

That's just RE Engine's "photorealism"

Terry being retconned into being Bruce's son was bullshit tho
Bruce Timm is a very talented guy obsessed with his two or three bad ideas
But it did have the funny line of "He left his DNA all over town"
Only thing I dislike about it bh
This was so unnecessary.
Part of the fun was watching control freak boomer batman being forced to work through a random unskilled proxy he didnt even really like originally.

He started training with really strong homies from the start i suppose
he wasnt traing as a baby but was already as strong as radditz
>criticizes how Peter is not Miles' mentor
>literally shows a frame of Peter mentoring Miles
Stay mad.
pretty sure he's talking about the comics, but you're a movie only Black person so you wouldn't understand subtext
then why use an image from the movie?
because its already stated that he's dead in the comics
Literally shows a frame from the movie you disingenuous homosexual.
Because he's lying, it's not complicated.
Peter dies, whatever tutor dynamic there was ends the moment he does die

He has daughters instead.
Not anymore!

Shame the feminist got control of the comic and made supe son gay
Everything in the greentext is the comics and doesn't apply to Spiderverse, equating them is deceptive.
>my capeshit is better than your capeshit!
grow up lol
This anon such a child that he needs validation from strangers on the internet to feel mature.
how does spiderman make the eyes on his mask squint like that?
hard work and dedication
Listen bud, he's got radioactive blood.
