  1. Empire obviously
Stormcloaks were a fucking meme faction that only survived by Alduin Ex Machina (and the fact the Empire for various "reasons" can’t send any of its many legions to Skyrim), they stalemated against Tullius’ makeshift Legions cobbled together from local volunteers and some veterans
And I’m sure as hell not living under knife eared nazis butthurt Talos BTFO them philosophically

  2. In the scope of skyrim imperials, stormcloaks are unwitting thalmor puppets weakening the empire for them while not accomplishing anything since they’ll just get stomped by elves after being weakened if they "win".
In the grand scheme the thalmor, fuck reality.

      • Same way the US is ‘protecting all of the world from soviet communism’. Pretending to fight ‘hard’ battles while losing ground at every step, until suddenly you realize the Altmer are already in your mage’s colleges teaching your children.

        • First of all, what decade are you from with that analogy? Second, the entire plot of Skyrim was the moral dilemma over Ulfric started an uprising and destabilizing the province which would potentially allow the Aldmeri to sweep through the Empire completely uncontested. If you’re losing ground at every step then you aren’t fighting meaningless battles, the enemy is also there for a reason.

    • Empire is cultural supremacy, they don’t really care about your race but they believe their culture is the best and everyone should adopt it Stormcloaks are ethnic nationalism but of the isolationist variety
Thalmor are ethnic supremacists who want the whole world ruled by them and believe non elves are inherently inferior
