This. As cool as Tyranitar, but metal is as a concept. At some point you just have to admit how much being far far shittier to the original holds you back in the end. I still like Aron more than Larvitar
>cool ass design >being quad weak to fighting and ground, and weak to water,
And decent special moves in general basically screws over his defensive potential
He's usually fine if you know your opponent's moves, I just think it's a shame he falls off a bit near the end game.
Everything is good against Glacia dumbass, she's the ice type leader. I'd say for the other it's "fine" but Steven still has half a team that knows Earthquake or an Armando with Water Pulse to easily handle it.
>Only if you're a 40 IQ grug that never uses anything other than the starter
no not really, pokemon is so easy if you are even close to the level of your opponent you're over leveled
That's what Sturdy's for. You need a multi-hit special move, or to get another damage source mixed in there. Even Mega Blaziken, which I'm pretty sure has the highest attack for a Pokemon with access to a multi-hit 4X physical move, won't always be able to get the KO. I usually run Rock Head with Head Smash though, because it's fun.
Cool kaiju design that exemplifies my favorite part of the Pokemon style: designs that can't be pinned down as any specific animal, but look cohesive. I always struggle to draw monsters that aren't just animal A + animal B, so I'm extremely impressed by artists who can make something unique. I also like the horns that go through the "eye holes" in his skull-like helmet. Great 'mon.
>would have been perfectly fine as pure steel like in rse beta >mouthbreathing intern randomly slaps rock type onto it and cripples it forever >make a fix for it 3 gens later but slap the fix onto a gimmick mechanic that wasn't intended to stay >dexcut in the gen where any pokemon can change their type
cool monster stuck in a dogshit franchise. i wish it wasn't a pokemon
Made it even worse that using the “fix” means you can’t use mega for your other Pokémon which is why you almost never saw it. Why use a mega stone to fix a Pokémon when I can use it to make another Pokémon BROKEN instead
>12 year old me sees a badass new steel type golem and wants it >Gets mad because it gets outsped by everything and also dies to every special attack
Still a fun mon to get in nuzlockes and the like
the rock typing ruins it because fighting and ground are very common offensive types, 4x is a dealbreaker
it also gives it a weakness to water which it get melted by because most water moves are special and it has low special defense
it should've been pure steel and it would've been a great mon and I really like it design but whenever I try to use it in a game I get reminded how shit it is and if you like difficulty hacks it's basically unusable
Was my rock Pokemon for gen 3 and gen 4 games, before I just switched to Tyranitar
This. As cool as Tyranitar, but metal is as a concept. At some point you just have to admit how much being far far shittier to the original holds you back in the end. I still like Aron more than Larvitar
2nd favorite pokemon
MASTER I TOOK A SHIT ON THE CAR
third post, best post
Kinda cool. Sucks that it's 4x weak to two of the most common attacking moves in the game.
Im upset they got rid of megas, because aggron's took away its rock type, making it more defensive
*uses earthquake*
a loose woman with loose morals
He's cool but is a shitter like most Gen 3 mons.
One of my favorite Rocks and Steels, always used him in Gen 3, and an absolute beast with Head Smash and Hone Claws.
I remember when I played Gen 3 mud slap raped everything but I was a teenager
>cool ass design

>he falls off a bit near the end game.
no he doesnt, no pokemon game is hard enough for that to be a thing
>put it against Wallace
>dies to all his Pokemon
Inb4 overleveling
WHY ME ROCK WEAK TO WATER???
It's good against glacia in the hoenn elite 4 and not bad vs steven in r/s & ORAS
Everything is good against Glacia dumbass, she's the ice type leader. I'd say for the other it's "fine" but Steven still has half a team that knows Earthquake or an Armando with Water Pulse to easily handle it.
if you just play the game normally you'll end up over leveled so not an issue
Only if you're a 40 IQ grug that never uses anything other than the starter or if you're playing ORAS with exp share on.
>Only if you're a 40 IQ grug that never uses anything other than the starter
no not really, pokemon is so easy if you are even close to the level of your opponent you're over leveled
If you play the game normally (leveling 6 pokemon equally) you will never be overleveled
that is not true
It is though
Extremely cool design
Fun to use
Oh, cool, a steel type pok- (also rock type) into the trash it goes.
Aggron will never ever be viable, not even for PvE
>not even for PvE
maybe if you're moronic
*hits it with a ground/fighting move or any special attack*
Nothing personnel kid.

He's badass.
Diet Nidoking.
Mechagodzilla>Baragon
>Mechagodzilla
That's Archaludon
I like Lairon and Aggron, but Aron looks fricking stupid.
Aron looks fricking cute
>
He has such a cool design but he is dog water he has such a bad typing.

and it was not even a good fix either because they never bothered to give it recovery outside of fricking rest
>12 year old me sees a badass new steel type golem and wants it

Still a fun mon to get in nuzlockes and the like
I like Kaijumons
Dumb baragay
he cute
Much as I love Aggron, this guy will always be my favorite Steel-type.
Palworld looking lit
The pokenon equivalent of the ick on eck guy.

I don't fully understand why
but I really want to have sex with that 1
Fricking cool and sexy.
I bet he can grill a mean burger and absolutely crush beers back
Really love the obese art of it
