    Metalcore
not going to suggest any particular band to try, just explore the metalcore genre if you feel like it
either that or proceed to the MGRR OST

metalcore. A symphonic, more mainstream-friendly take on it.

    Some Metalcore bands
    -Misery Signals
    -Converge
-Architects (I don't like their newer stuff)
-August Burns Red (same as above)

Metalcore requires shouting though and those bands have the music but the vocals are nothing like, "Bury the Light".

there are some metalcore bands that implement the kind of clean singing OP has an itch for, many i'd argue

        nu metal

        yeah
hell, if all else fails, just listen to some LINKIN PARK BRO

Gotta love people who claim they dont like metal or rock music, but will call the soundtracks to games like MGR, dmc5, and Doom incredible music

usually those peoples' only exposure to music is through video games, but hey, at least they've got good taste in video game music

Unfortunately many people need something attached to the music in order to like it. They probably wouldn't seek out rock or metal on their own

        >need something attached to the music in order to like it.
this is why music video culture was such an effective tool back in the MTV glory days, and also why Kpop is so big now, people associate that stuff with the plastic babes dancing around and get addicted

Everybody likes rock and metal its all of the different branches of either that filter them and are hard for them to get into or remember.

        >Everybody likes rock and metal
they wont admit it though. or they hear one genre like screamo and assume its all like that and never try to get into any of it again

      good answer here
I'd suggest this one since it's also about light https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is_-_S43WAM
except this time it's about returning to the light instead of burying it
