>What?
I'm sure it's explained in the article you made a bait post with
Do you know what sarcasm is, anon?
>mintrocket doesn't even have a steam page, it just redirects straight to nexon
theres been lazy and then theres just not giving a shit, how did anyone involved with these awards not point out a game made by one of the biggest fricking companies in the market isn't "indie". what I wonder now is are more companies going to follow suit, make a blatantly fake shell company and just publish a bunch of low-effort indieshit lookalikes and completely flood the market on that?
shows how competent and legit these awards are
but npcs will still gobble this phony shitshow
Honestly big companys making indie sized games is a great move but it shouldnt be considered for awards like this when its competing with games made by a single person or a small team
Like megaman 9 and 10 were probably easy to make for some extra money
Swimming around and shooting fish is fun but the constant terrible "do thing 10 times" bossfights and reddit cringe makes me want to rape the devs mother
>"do thing 10 times" bossfights
What are you talking about? It's like 4 times max which is pretty standard when it comes to repeating a boss pattern.
Honestly, my biggest problem was that there aren't enough zones and only the first 2 feel substantial. The ruins only have like 3 fish and the glacial zone is just a big open area. Guessing there's going to be DLC seeing as how there are still a few open fish farm slots but who knows if they'll be as flashed out as the shallows and the deep or if they'll be half-assed like the ruins or the glacial zone.
Who cares, it's not beating Sea of Stars anyway.
Hopefully you're wrong and it goes to Cocoon. Can't stand the nostalgiabait that Sabotage keeps producing.
>Sea of Stars
Today's indie games are just yesteryears AAA games.
"indie" hasn't hasn't meant anything for ages. it's just synonymous with "small, low budget game". like 90% of games that people call indie have never even seen indie game
Plenty of western pixelshit gets pushed as and indie game by these people. They're just mad like usual when something outside their Californian bubble gets popular.
except much better passion projects from the east made by actual indie devs get overlooked for the game awards all the time. I bet this only got nominated because nexon is korean EA
yeah... all those passion projects from the east.... like .. uh
>lists some
>you say theyre shit or say tranime or something because its not a game you recognize
can we skip to the end of this?
but i can't honestly think of any besides porn games
am i missing out?
"indie" is just low effort pixelshit that 95% of gamers don't even touch (and for good reason). Who cares who develops it.
by your definition, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters are indie games despite being developed and published by Square-Enix, which obviousy makes no sense
I associate indie with the studio itself, not a game.
Half-Life 2 is technically an indie game. Valve published it themselves.
So tired of pixel shit indie made by soi bois, just frick off
BG3 is more indie than Dave because Tencent owns 35% of Larian but Nexon owns all of mintrocket
Tencent owns everything
it's gonna be like a repeat of how "indie" eventually went in music.
it doesn't mean shit anymore when some guys with more cash and people involved than any bedroom coder team put out an utterly mediocre title, call it "indie" and everyone eats it up
we should've all seen this coming from a mile away when publishers like devolver started making the rounds.
There's backlash about this but nobody with any actual influence or sway will point out how this is indicative of the whole award show being bought and paid for.
>woops we accidentally included dave the diver on the indie list
>thanks geoff we love geoff awards :DDD
>one of the biggest korean publisher's games got on our indie list woops lmao
>giving a shit about the game awards
Ah yes, the indie darling that somehow was able to have a big frick off banner all throughout the last steam sale.
Hope it wins then frick indie devs.
Didn't the game awards give awards to Among Us despite being several years old at the time? The game awards have always been dogshit. The only reason to ever watch it is for the trailers.
