You're correct. This boss has 2 weak spots: close range and rear. The person playing in the webm doesn't realize how easy it is to roll around behind it and attack in close range.
getting close can help a lot and I think you can interupt him before he uses that move if you just smack him. Having blind spot was a huge help because tons of his moves you can tell are coming and you just press L2 to both dodge it and smack him at the same time.
You know seeing clips like this reminds me that I'm way too much of a passive player even if I'm playing incantations. Like for that attack I just backed up as much as I can rolling through the 3rd, 4th and 5th snake and then punished after messmer slammed down. I wouldn't even dream of tossing lightning his way until he's down with his combos the only exception being when he dodge flip attacks back during the melee combo since he's more open there than a few seconds later when he snake summons

whats the point of artificially capping yourself at a soul level if you cant level up and wear heavy armor?
>wear armor
the dlc literally gives you transformation items that requires you to be armorless. surely this isn't a design failure and that got me stuck on a boss for more than it should.
Don't the dragon up transformations both give armor? If the stat screen isn't lying to me I'm only ~4% less resistant in dragon priestess mode compared to when I wear my light rolling clothes
It's literally just not having enough scat levels.
People are just bee lining for the bosses and taking 100% more damage because they skipped all the side content.
None. I stopped leveling vitality at all since DaS2. You have to pump it to heavens to avoid being oneshot by everything, so the only real solution is to level stamina instead, roll like a motherfricker and not get hit even once.
>instantly buffering roll right after you got hit instead of just calming down and waiting for the next attack
i dont get it, the webm just shows you playing like a genuine moron
>instantly buffering
You haven't played the game if you don't realize you can press the roll button when you get hit and it forces you to roll when you recover 3 seconds later regardless, have a nice day
Why do they even design bosses like this now? They aren't even designed with the combat system in mind and how 99% of players interact with the game naturally. They'd need to upgrade roll iframes like 15 frames for this shit to be normal
Isn't that exactly like Dark Souls 2 at this point? Where it was like a parody of Dark Souls because it was le epic harder through artificial difficulty? That's exactly what Elden Ring is but it gets praised.

but are these games truly hard if you can eat shit 100 times and have enough consumables to heal it all
beating a supposed difficult boss first try is the cherry on top
This brainrotted League of Legends playing neckbeard hobo fricking oneshot Mesmer. Literally two fricking tries.
He started playing Elden Ring for the first time like two weeks ago for the DLC having never played a souls game before.
Oh nice, out of curiosity what scadu level? Felt like even the stray hits from him were doing less than what I had at +9 but glad to see the same openings I saw as a ranged build work just fine for melee.
I don't remember exactly but I think it was +10
I'm sure melee has more openings inbetween swings but I always felt short of stamina so I never experimented with that
That was like a 1 minute phase 1 and phase 2 lets you rack up damage even faster
Do you guys even fight the bosses in this game or do you just outbuild them out of relevance?
Imo levels should be ditched in these games anymore and they just set it up with gear instead. I have a 450 character and a 167 and the difference in surviving hits on dancing dog naked is an average of two extra which is a total of 6. Makes it near pointless to do any sort of farming or leveling up after 120(ish) for the DLC alone.
>Light greatsword
My man, that shit feels so fricking good to use, its like i'm dancing, it does dogshit damage when bosses don't let you R2 into R1 though
I was thinking this too, although I'm not really sure which weapon buff would be the best.
I'm pretty sure the weapon greases are a static damage increase (except for the magic one I think scales with INT? I could be wrong) so I wonder if it's better to use that, I've been using one of the flame-arts weapon arts that ignite the sword when the ability is used, but I'm not sure how much the buff is or if it scales with anything
I really dont understand how people are having trouble with him, yeah he hits a ton but as long as you have fragments you can survive all his combos also unlike Rellana he has big openings to punish his attacks. One of the few actual good bosses in the DLC.
The falseflag discord didn't actually play the game so they automatically assume every boss is some amorphous blob that teleports everywhere and nukes the arena over and over with brutally small damage windows.
If they actually played the game they would know that description doesnt apply to anyone except radahn
Been putting my sign in the summoning pool for shitters to use since I'm nearing the end of the DLC now.
Why are people so ultra shit? And why do they always insist on two summons?
Have they seen the fricking health bars? Bonus points if they just sit in a corner while the summons fight. moronic homosexuals, goes to show what kind of """players""" summon
when you get summoned is your power based on your blessing level, your hosts, or is it related to revered spirit ashes?
It's definitely not my blessing. I just checked now since you asked and I lost a solid 100 attack power when summoned for a Messmer fight. 743-> 640 ish
the npc thing is so baffling. its like they have no idea after a 100 hours it inflates boss hp like crazy.
It's actually fricking awful. And then when they sit back I have to get through an insane health bar, all alone with only half the flasks. I'm only human
>Put summon sign down by smegmer to practice >Summoned by someone with less than 1000hp >Summoned by someone only casting Eldern stars the entire fight watching hp go down by double digits per bead >2 moonlight greatsword users that got donked by the first attack and died >One rocket scientist using fire spells on the fire boss
Yeah as it turns out you get the hosts Scadu frags too.
So you have to check how your defenses before the boss every time you get summoned or you're gonna randomly take 99% of your life in one hit because the host is a mong and decided to pick up zero (0) scadu frags
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
>Put summon sign down by smegmer to practice >Summoned by someone with less than 1000hp >Summoned by someone only casting Eldern stars the entire fight watching hp go down by double digits per bead >2 moonlight greatsword users that got donked by the first attack and died >One rocket scientist using fire spells on the fire boss
I've spent maybe 5-6 hours helping shitters and the only boss I've had any success on is Romina, even though that fight is the most cancerous by far with how many hosts summon Dryleaf Dickhead Dane to bloat the HP even more.
Man is part of the miquella's dicksucking crew for the sole purpose of avenging his family that messmer killed and you cucked him out of that by not summoning him during the fight
Man is part of the miquella's dicksucking crew for the sole purpose of avenging his family that messmer killed and you cucked him out of that by not summoning him during the fight
Also, how do they expect me to summon him in the arena when Messmer immediately attacks you when you walk in?
Man is part of the miquella's dicksucking crew for the sole purpose of avenging his family that messmer killed and you cucked him out of that by not summoning him during the fight
Hahah noooo stalker child you will not enjoy the dlc, you will not fight the boss upon reaching it oh nonono you will instead go and colect the scat seeds hehe. Enjoy prison stalker child
Probably my least favorite fight in the dlc just because it's so close to being good but the second phase is a complete and utter clusterfrick while simultaneously being easier than the first phase. Just baffling shit. Let's replace the melee combat with snakes flailing around which put the boss in the longest recovery state out of any other boss in the dlc. What were they thinking?
Yeah I need to take Romina out of my summoning pool
Tired of moronic hosts summoning Dryleaf fricking Dane to balloon the HP to a gazillion while he dies to Rot
mesmer is the best fight until now actually has clear fricking openings and his fricking attacks dont take forever, some delayed garbage here and there but thats ok
agreed, there was a massive difference in ease from when I first entered and when I killed him. I felt more lucky than anything to kill everything else.
you can get to that boss without fighting messmer
I fricking skipped that shit, divine beast the first time was already awful and I didn't feel like fighting a stronger version of it
>Bosses are getting to the point where i find myself just duo greatmace and stack jump attack buffs to get it over with
I'm starting to think iv got souls fatigue, there are afew good boss fights here and there but the majority are just a slog
The frick happened man
Because pretty much all of them are just built around learning how to rollspam your way through their 6-15 hit combos. Look at the Rellana and Romina bosses. One is a magic knight, the other is some kind of scorpion/centipede hybrid, and yet both fights are pretty much exactly the same despite how wildly different they are in appearance. They walk up to you, they start to flail around like spergs with a bunch of rollcatches built into their long combos, you dodge 5+ times and punish, rinse and repeat. None of the bosses feel unique anymore.
they don't feel fun either.
it's fricking soul crushing when you roll everything perfectly or almost perfectly and hit the boss with your strongest attack that barely makes a dent.
I am shocked that there isn't more r34 rape fanart of pretty much every boss aside from rennala
His phase 2 has too much of him floating around as a giant snake head for my taste
I like him overall though and especially liked that I could sneak a hit in during his combos because of the delays
I'll be honest lads, this guys dialogue when you die to him was so poorly voiced it was the first time I ever considered changing the language in a game
I just looked up this fight. I stopped playing Cuck Ring after 15 hours. it's Slop. >miyahacky >berserk
I love BB, but indeed he made a collage of Berserk,HP lovecraft, Dracula, Brotherhood of the wolf etc and made it work. At least it was interesting.
That boss is really a Shadows of Yharnam with a bow on it.
npc summons increase the boss health and resistances while doing next to no damage themselves
I was summoning 2 npcs for the radahn fight and then realised it buffs his health by 130% and his resistances by 50% as well as increase his damage by 10%
not summoning is baby journalist mode and anyone who didnt summon all npcs didnt beat the game :^)
messmer is so easy and hornsent doesnt really do anything but say his line and eat shit from aoes
i do hope you summon both npcs for the radahn fight though
Did anyone finish the DLC?
I'm wondering if the other hand-to-hand weapon is any different than the one you get from the monk early on. I don't want to waste an ancient smithing stone
Dryleaf Dane has one that is mostly kick based, its definitely a unique moveset compared to the other fist weapons. You can probably just murder him as soon as you see him to get it right at the start of the DLC
Yea yea, I have the first one, the one you get from dueling Dane. But supposedly, there is another one you can get somewhere by the end of the DLC, during the fight with NPCs or something?. After that you can power stance them
On second thought, if you can powerstance them then I'll probably put both to +25
no he only drops dryleaf arts and his hat
to get the footwork and the rest of his gear you need to finish the leda questline which ends just infront of the last boss
the kicking one you get later only has kick attacks aside from the weapon art
you can power stance both of them at the same time so you should upgrade both if you can
its pretty fun
>every single remembrance weapon in the entire dlc has either int, faith or a combination of both requirements
Bros... they're really pushing caster stats on the player.
Probably my favorite fight in the game including the base game, unironically. Was fun to learn and had reasonably clear telegraphs (for being elden ring atleast)
>spergs too moronic to realize that you are meant to summon for these bosses >there's even armor you can miss out on if you don't summon an npc for a certain fight >don't hunt skibidi fragments >complain when you try to fight messmer with +5 blessing and no summons and get clapped
Messmer is just Malenia 2, but not moronic. He's a good boss fight. It doesn't take too long to learn the attacks, and the snake phase is actually easier than the first phase since the recovery time from a dodged snake attack is huge.
Am I missing something after the final boss? there was a cheesy cutscene you could activate but it feels extremely anticlimactic, am I just supposed to leave now? Is nothing going to change?
How the frick do you even beat it? I have a mimic with 8 levels on the ashes thing and I don't want to hunt more down but holy frick the mimic dies by the time hes on phase 2 which is 60% of his hp and he's fricking impossible to solo on phase 2 unless youre a giga souls autist and willing to practice it for 8 hours FRICK. Player summons aren't even usable right now because they frick off the second they appear
How do you even get time to do that? He starts off with the giant holy explosion you have to run out of and then starts spamming attacks at 500 mph at you every 2 seconds, plus the mimic summon takes away 40% of your hp so youre guaranateed dead at any point if you do that in the live battle
I used the 2 npc summons
then switched my build from STR to a fast DEX build and we stacked status effects on his ass, rot + poison + frostbite/fire reset + bleed
I stocked up on uplifting perfumes and had me and my mimic buff all of us with it during the fight and of course I also used as many buffs as I could before entering the arena
mimic died early on but the 2 summons are pretty tanky and 1 survived pretty far into phase 2
the fight was mostly just trying not to get blendered from 100->0 in phase 2
How do you even get time to do that? He starts off with the giant holy explosion you have to run out of and then starts spamming attacks at 500 mph at you every 2 seconds, plus the mimic summon takes away 40% of your hp so youre guaranateed dead at any point if you do that in the live battle
perfumes are the key imo, only reason I was able to summon the mimic without immediately getting killed
What are their names so I can google this shit? I hope they aren't the homies I killed right before the boss fight

Maybe try using the deflecting hardtear, not sure if it would help that much though
I hope you can still do the questlines after youve burnt the sealing tree
they were the best and most fun part of the dlc in my opinion
although the leda questline was a bit rushed from a storytelling perspective I still enjoyed the concept of it
I haven't played any from software games past DS1.
Why does every boss fight they put out now have 15 hit combos, multi phases, and always some shit about being forgiven? What happened to hard but fair bosses like Sif, Artorias, Sanct guard, Quelaag, pinwheel?
The real problem with the DLC is that every single boss has to immediately pressure the player, it gets incredibly tedious dodging for 30 seconds the second you walk though the fog gate.
is is just me or are there a lot more attacks with lingering hurtboxes that are a pain in the ass to dodge? either big ass AoE explosions or multi-hit attacks that catch you after you dodge the initial hit
>Pet Knight >Drop down >Summon Shield Bros >NIHILx1 when I get an opening >Poke poke poke to half health >He starts to do his ghostflame shit >Drink Physick: Hard Lead Tear & Crimson Whorl Tear >NIHILx3 while taking the whole attack
Yep, kino.
The fire waves come out very fast and thin, you can jump them very easily.
His jump attack though also has an explosion around himself that hits the air. When both feet get on fire and he starts to crouch, just ride away then jump the fire wave before going back in.
Everything about the fricker is just a test of patience and not being greedy. I hate them.
I blame georgie for the awful writing. What does stripped of gold even mean? Poor people? Well maybe they shouldn't have priced this shit load of frick $40 instead of the $20 it deserves. >reused bosses >empty overworld >input reading ai
Surprised to see the honey moon period for ER is finally over.
Pls understand the bosses need that space so they can use all the awful aoe moves we gave them, and of coursewe couldn't possibly allow you to use map geometry to break aggro or line of sight. And actually AC6 had some pretty cool arenas it's just that the game goes out of its way to encourage you to fly 24/7
Moon and Fire stance
thats better suited to pvp at the expense of weakening the stance damage
faster multi-hit moves
faster magic multi-projectile
randomized floor fire pillar
sigh, another ugly ass boss arena. Where did the color go in this DLC?
Most bosses in From's games blend into the arena, because piss on good design choices

No, where you stand doesn't matter. It's primarily a rhythm game where sometimes you don't get punished if your positioning is correct.
correct, might make a webm showcasing it tomorrow
>be magic missile spamming roll autist

thank you miyazaki

Yeah, thought it was crazy at first but its fricking tame compared to anything in elden ring.
i'm just wondering what's the point of the health bar if bosses can delete you so fast

Why do they even design bosses like this now? They aren't even designed with the combat system in mind and how 99% of players interact with the game naturally. They'd need to upgrade roll iframes like 15 frames for this shit to be normal

There's like two other bosses that do literally the "____, forgive me". It has to be intentional at this point.
>beating mesmer on my first try
Tiche did. You didn't.
This brainrotted League of Legends playing neckbeard hobo fricking oneshot Mesmer. Literally two fricking tries.
He started playing Elden Ring for the first time like two weeks ago for the DLC having never played a souls game before.
>oneshot
>two tries
pick one, dipshit, and frick off shilling your ugly homosexual mug
well yeah obviously
he comes from a multiplayer game that takes actual skill
his mong appearance doesn't change the fact that cutiepie is a gamer
Jump attack heavy spam
whatever
imaqtpie is actually good at every game he plays, Gankerermin only pretend to be on a basket weaving forum
And after that, he posted a negative review in Chinese.
I thought it was fun 🙂
>Not using summons
You're a b***h
summons just make fights feel random because the boss is target switching 24/7
Oh nice, out of curiosity what scadu level? Felt like even the stray hits from him were doing less than what I had at +9 but glad to see the same openings I saw as a ranged build work just fine for melee.
I don't remember exactly but I think it was +10
I'm sure melee has more openings inbetween swings but I always felt short of stamina so I never experimented with that
how does he do so little damage compared to me? you even have a light armor
What do you mean he insta died to the explosion
Only got hit by the shitty quick hits + defense talisman + only the torso is light armor + 10 scadu levels
Ok, strange since I use heavy armor and defence talisman and i'm pretty sure that hit would have done more damage. I have 10 scadu too
>frick all damage
Change your gear moron.
why
Dudes getting more damage than I did per opening when I lightning speared messmers ass. The hell is good damage for messmer.
That was like a 1 minute phase 1 and phase 2 lets you rack up damage even faster
Do you guys even fight the bosses in this game or do you just outbuild them out of relevance?
people are literally going in here with like rl500 characters and getting made that they can't one shot bosses, what do you think.
It does feel a bit weak but I imagine the fast hits make it viable for some sort of buff gimmick
It feels weird to have storm blade outdamage my r2s
I was thinking this too, although I'm not really sure which weapon buff would be the best.
I'm pretty sure the weapon greases are a static damage increase (except for the magic one I think scales with INT? I could be wrong) so I wonder if it's better to use that, I've been using one of the flame-arts weapon arts that ignite the sword when the ability is used, but I'm not sure how much the buff is or if it scales with anything
Those buffs are usually a weak 100~ static buff
the DLC added some upgraded ones. Not sure how much stronger they are but might be worth a look
Also do you know how much the weapon art buffs add? Like the Flame Strike one or whatever it's called. Is it also static?
They are all static too I think
That boss has like 200k hp what the actual frick lmao why give the boss that much health when he kills you in 2 hits
Most bosses I fight take me 20+ tries. the game isnt that hard because death isnt very punishing.
me and my bestie are such a good team! <3
>another redhead fight autist
marika's womb really is tainted
>mimic, powerstance colossal weps, lion's claw
b-b-b-based
just as Mitsubitchi intended
(for people with physical and/or mental disabilities)
>O MIMIC TEAR, BECOME MY BLADE AGAIN
I'm having a blast with Messmer. I've not beaten him yet but came close and i know that it just gets down to execution to this point.
I would almost be sad in a way when i beat him.
Yeah but is it fun?
In the embrace of Messmers flame
In the embrace of Messmers flame
In the embrace of Messmers flame
Just beat a ghostflame dragon by using tiche and running around on torrent and shooting 400 arrows into him when I dismount
Been putting my sign in the summoning pool for shitters to use since I'm nearing the end of the DLC now.
Why are people so ultra shit? And why do they always insist on two summons?
Have they seen the fricking health bars? Bonus points if they just sit in a corner while the summons fight. moronic homosexuals, goes to show what kind of """players""" summon
your job is to kill the boss
the hosts job is to stay alive
Funny since they can't even do that right
It's definitely not my blessing. I just checked now since you asked and I lost a solid 100 attack power when summoned for a Messmer fight. 743-> 640 ish
It's actually fricking awful. And then when they sit back I have to get through an insane health bar, all alone with only half the flasks. I'm only human
when you get summoned is your power based on your blessing level, your hosts, or is it related to revered spirit ashes?
the npc thing is so baffling. its like they have no idea after a 100 hours it inflates boss hp like crazy.
probably the reason why Igor's sign is inside the arena
I always leave if the host doesn't fight
>put sign down to study boss before I kill him
>every other host uses either giant dragon rot or malenia flower
>can't see shit for half the fight
Yeah as it turns out you get the hosts Scadu frags too.
So you have to check how your defenses before the boss every time you get summoned or you're gonna randomly take 99% of your life in one hit because the host is a mong and decided to pick up zero (0) scadu frags
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
that would explain a lot, half the time the boss's healthbar barely fricking moves
>Put summon sign down by smegmer to practice
>Summoned by someone with less than 1000hp
>Summoned by someone only casting Eldern stars the entire fight watching hp go down by double digits per bead
>2 moonlight greatsword users that got donked by the first attack and died
>One rocket scientist using fire spells on the fire boss
>expecting people who summon players to be good at the game
>sit in the corner
This is probably why every other boss has an obnoxious AoE. Helping shitters is not going to be a pleasant experience.
I've spent maybe 5-6 hours helping shitters and the only boss I've had any success on is Romina, even though that fight is the most cancerous by far with how many hosts summon Dryleaf Dickhead Dane to bloat the HP even more.
I beat him yesterday, why is Hornsent whining near the grace now?
His sign was inside the arena so I assume you have to summon him for him not to seethe
Not my problem
Also, how do they expect me to summon him in the arena when Messmer immediately attacks you when you walk in?
You definitely have time if you rush to the sign as he preps the dive bomb
It's tight, but you'll have time
Messmer always starts the fight with the same really slow and easy to dodge attack. Just get ready to summon as soon as he gets out of it
Man is part of the miquella's dicksucking crew for the sole purpose of avenging his family that messmer killed and you cucked him out of that by not summoning him during the fight
consider using those heals OP
When he gets to 10% He hits me with his penis and is too distracting and makes me erect, idk what to do.
Out of curiosity anyone know if theres a dragonscrest greatshield talisman upgrade in the DLC or is physical damage resist talismans getting left out?
Physical is the only one that had a greatshield in the base game, no?
I'd assume there is none in the DLC then
theres a pearldrake+3 that the icon looks like a greatshield but the name just says pearldrake+3. same with boltdrake and firedrake +3
Yeah I know. But black flame + great shield + scadu already trivializes all physical damage so idk if they could reasonably give you a better one.
Tired of moronic hosts summoning Dryleaf fricking Dane to balloon the HP to a gazillion while he dies to Rot
>modern fromsoft >>>boss design
what do you mean modern, this is literally the final boss of dark souls 1.
Ya got me, I was just shitposting
This is literally the one good main boss in the DLC, what are you complaining about?
wtf
ywnbaw
mesmer is the best fight until now actually has clear fricking openings and his fricking attacks dont take forever, some delayed garbage here and there but thats ok
agreed, there was a massive difference in ease from when I first entered and when I killed him. I felt more lucky than anything to kill everything else.
Messmer is kino
I used the NPC summon the fight gave me and beat it on RL 150 in NG+ 🙂
Aight, so here me out. ER worked perfectly fine for me when it came out and now it lags like shit after I updated. What gives? GTX2070
make sure to turn off raytracing
still not paying $40 for a mod
ALL YOU FRICKING SHITERS, CAN YOU BEAT MESSMER ALREADY?
I need help with the Deathblight Divine beast and never find anyone to summon.
you can get to that boss without fighting messmer
I fricking skipped that shit, divine beast the first time was already awful and I didn't feel like fighting a stronger version of it
I cheesed his ass with poison and rot crossbow bolts, no regrets.
>Bosses are getting to the point where i find myself just duo greatmace and stack jump attack buffs to get it over with
I'm starting to think iv got souls fatigue, there are afew good boss fights here and there but the majority are just a slog
The frick happened man
>I'm starting to think iv got souls fatigue
I honestly think Lies of Penis is better
But build variety is undeniably worse there
Because pretty much all of them are just built around learning how to rollspam your way through their 6-15 hit combos.
Mesmer is a great boss, one of the best in the DLC. Unlike gaius the c**t
His phase 2 has too much of him floating around as a giant snake head for my taste
I like him overall though and especially liked that I could sneak a hit in during his combos because of the delays
He wasn’t that hard. Definitely one of the more fun bosses in the DLC along with the centipede b***h, you gays just suck.
I'll be honest lads, this guys dialogue when you die to him was so poorly voiced it was the first time I ever considered changing the language in a game
>fromturd fanbase
>is this a naruto reference?!
>omg it's an homage and fromturd is not creatively bankrupt
dude pretty much all of the dlc is ripped from naruto in some way. what do you expect? miyahacky is done with berserk - naruto is his next victim
I just looked up this fight. I stopped playing Cuck Ring after 15 hours. it's Slop.
>miyahacky
>berserk
I love BB, but indeed he made a collage of Berserk,HP lovecraft, Dracula, Brotherhood of the wolf etc and made it work. At least it was interesting.
That boss is really a Shadows of Yharnam with a bow on it.
MASTER ZANZIBART, FORGIVE ME... I MUST GO ALL OUT, JUST THIS ONCE...
Bros mesmer orb invading in the small room before it is so fun, fire buff + talisman and these shitters get one shot since they cant roll
In the embrace of Messmer's flame.
Stupid cuck kept referring to himself in third person
Now he's dead
>summoned Hornset for roleplaying element
>summoned mimic tear in 2nd phase because frick snakes
I beat the game.
npc summons increase the boss health and resistances while doing next to no damage themselves
I was summoning 2 npcs for the radahn fight and then realised it buffs his health by 130% and his resistances by 50% as well as increase his damage by 10%
not summoning is baby journalist mode and anyone who didnt summon all npcs didnt beat the game :^)
Not when you summon him inside the arena, it doesn't, as is the case with Hornsent
Nice try summonbab
messmer is so easy and hornsent doesnt really do anything but say his line and eat shit from aoes
i do hope you summon both npcs for the radahn fight though
Did anyone finish the DLC?
I'm wondering if the other hand-to-hand weapon is any different than the one you get from the monk early on. I don't want to waste an ancient smithing stone
Dryleaf Dane has one that is mostly kick based, its definitely a unique moveset compared to the other fist weapons. You can probably just murder him as soon as you see him to get it right at the start of the DLC
Yea yea, I have the first one, the one you get from dueling Dane. But supposedly, there is another one you can get somewhere by the end of the DLC, during the fight with NPCs or something?. After that you can power stance them
On second thought, if you can powerstance them then I'll probably put both to +25
>during the fight with NPCs or something
you get it in the corner of the room after the fight
awesome, shame it's at the end
I wonder if just the one weapon is viable enough to go through the rest of the DLC, it's very fun
Its the same item, you can kill Dane early or at the very end.
no he only drops dryleaf arts and his hat
to get the footwork and the rest of his gear you need to finish the leda questline which ends just infront of the last boss
the kicking one you get later only has kick attacks aside from the weapon art
you can power stance both of them at the same time so you should upgrade both if you can
its pretty fun
>every single remembrance weapon in the entire dlc has either int, faith or a combination of both requirements
Bros... they're really pushing caster stats on the player.
which is odd since playing a caster in this dlc sucks.
Probably my favorite fight in the game including the base game, unironically. Was fun to learn and had reasonably clear telegraphs (for being elden ring atleast)
>Run from the orbital laser as soon as Radahn starts floating
>Still get hit
what the frick
Is Leda's Soul usable anywhere?
SPOILER ALERT
You can duplicate a remembrance if you find something looks like this
To be expected, but the new staff that shoots sorceries AND incantations is about 337 at 70/66 INT/FAI
while dedicated Death Staff and Golden Order Seal are 370ish
cute
CUTE
>spergs too moronic to realize that you are meant to summon for these bosses
>there's even armor you can miss out on if you don't summon an npc for a certain fight
>don't hunt skibidi fragments
>complain when you try to fight messmer with +5 blessing and no summons and get clapped
's even armor you can miss out on if you don't summon an npc for a certain fight
I'm calling bullshit, which one?
Skill issue
Git gud
Messmer is just Malenia 2, but not moronic. He's a good boss fight. It doesn't take too long to learn the attacks, and the snake phase is actually easier than the first phase since the recovery time from a dodged snake attack is huge.
Hated how sometimes he would backstep after finishing a snake attack. But yeah, good boss. I liked Midyr and Putrescent more.
Then summon the mimic for p2?
How do you even get time to do that? He starts off with the giant holy explosion you have to run out of and then starts spamming attacks at 500 mph at you every 2 seconds, plus the mimic summon takes away 40% of your hp so youre guaranateed dead at any point if you do that in the live battle
I used the 2 npc summons
then switched my build from STR to a fast DEX build and we stacked status effects on his ass, rot + poison + frostbite/fire reset + bleed
I stocked up on uplifting perfumes and had me and my mimic buff all of us with it during the fight and of course I also used as many buffs as I could before entering the arena
mimic died early on but the 2 summons are pretty tanky and 1 survived pretty far into phase 2
the fight was mostly just trying not to get blendered from 100->0 in phase 2
perfumes are the key imo, only reason I was able to summon the mimic without immediately getting killed
Wait where are the NPC summons I don't see any
You have to do their quests.
What are their names so I can google this shit? I hope they aren't the homies I killed right before the boss fight
sir ansbach and thiollier
if you do the quest you make them come over to your side and I also think you can make the autistic pot guy frick off and die since I havent seen him since I told him to be sad and I'd assume he would show up in the fight otherwise
Thanks dude
It's over I've killed all the npcs in their questlines and never started them
Im sorry anon
Maybe try using the deflecting hardtear, not sure if it would help that much though
I hope you can still do the questlines after youve burnt the sealing tree
they were the best and most fun part of the dlc in my opinion
although the leda questline was a bit rushed from a storytelling perspective I still enjoyed the concept of it
what the frick is this final boss
they just didnt want people to steamroll it in a few days
even tho thats inevitable
This boss is such a piece of shit. The snake phase is just IdOJuSTwwhATevREbrrrr
I haven't played any from software games past DS1.
Why does every boss fight they put out now have 15 hit combos, multi phases, and always some shit about being forgiven? What happened to hard but fair bosses like Sif, Artorias, Sanct guard, Quelaag, pinwheel?
>pinwheel
>hard
also from just became a parody of themselves
The real problem with the DLC is that every single boss has to immediately pressure the player, it gets incredibly tedious dodging for 30 seconds the second you walk though the fog gate.
is is just me or are there a lot more attacks with lingering hurtboxes that are a pain in the ass to dodge? either big ass AoE explosions or multi-hit attacks that catch you after you dodge the initial hit
>Pet Knight
>Drop down
>Summon Shield Bros
>NIHILx1 when I get an opening
>Poke poke poke to half health
>He starts to do his ghostflame shit
>Drink Physick: Hard Lead Tear & Crimson Whorl Tear
>NIHILx3 while taking the whole attack
Yep, kino.
How do you reliably dodge the furnaces jump attack? i jump on torrent and it hits me every time. i still killed the thing but god damn.
Well maybe they shouldn't have priced this shit load of frick $40 instead of the $20 it deserves.
>reused bosses
>empty overworld
>input reading ai
Surprised to see the honey moon period for ER is finally over.
chinkbros, our higher average IQs?
>Heart Stolen
Kek I actually lost to the bussy
Go fight the Scadutree Avatar if you want to immune that attack
i’ve got his rune but where is the divine tower to activate it
There isn't one from what I can tell. You just use it in your inventory. I used mine in front of Trina but I don't know if that is necessary
Thanks i’ll try it when I play again. One thing this DLC has taught me as a greatsword user….The block is pretty good
Yeah, kino.
it's funny how fricking bad the bossfight arenas are now.
literally just empty arenas.
most of the AC6 fights were like this too.
Pls understand the bosses need that space so they can use all the awful aoe moves we gave them, and of coursewe couldn't possibly allow you to use map geometry to break aggro or line of sight. And actually AC6 had some pretty cool arenas it's just that the game goes out of its way to encourage you to fly 24/7
>dark souls vs dark soulsless
>Top: Complete and utter dogshit
>Bottom: Kino of the highest order
I am not trans but I still can't kill the second tree sentinel
also no summons there
Why isn't Rennala's sister barefoot
Sword of Night and Flame
gets a direct replacement
Moon and Fire stance
thats better suited to pvp at the expense of weakening the stance damage
faster multi-hit moves
faster magic multi-projectile
randomized floor fire pillar
its just worse at pve
