Rennala at the top of her game would have been so much worse. Ranni's magical defense system that conjured up a MEMORY of her mom was stronger than some demigods, and neither you or Sellen could actually kill her.
>try to parry >her attack whiffs so parry has nothing to parry >stuck in parry animation >next attack in combo naturally hits >stagger >eat the rest of the combo
Frick this c**t.
i mean even with stunning i struggled a bit till i found exactly when i could stun her, i died like 10 times before it, she just two shots or one shot depending on the move on the 2nd phase, pure cancer, for me.
I'm using the curved twin swords the omen looking dudes drop on a Faith build, I try and roll behind her and phase 2 she roll turns instantly and can one shot me even with 5 scadutree blessings, I cannot even understand what I'm doing wrong besides doing this shit solo at all.
I wish I could be more helpful but the closest equivalent to those weapons I used didn't work well because she seems to have hyperarmor on a lot of her attacks and she doesn't stagger at a stiff breeze like Malenia does (and runs faster), so I switched to a big rock on a stick and smashed her down with it. She can't do combos if she's staggered.
That's some bullshit, certain attacks might overswing if you're right up in her armpit, but she still turns on a dime mid-combo.
>she also can't turn them super well.
This is an absolute fricking lie.
You gotta fishhook around her. I can't describe it super well, but she'll turn to follow one line of your motion and miss you if you then juke another way and do it right. I was using it to get in charged Giant Crusher R2s.

But perseverance paid off, I just killed her finally. Second phase I mostly just played stupidly safe except when she did her most punishable attacks, still had trouble with some dodges due to just how long she went but at least she's dead.. Level 101 NG for reference.

Nicely done. Yeah, sometimes you just have to play defensive, sip when you're hurt, and wait for the boss to frick up so you can smack it. Do you have two of those swords and just switched back to your Gravel Seal to cast something, or were you doing this with one curved sword? That's nuts if you were.

Those are the paired curved swords from the omen dudes in Belurat so two handing gives me both, there's a guaranteed one from the one in the swamp at the bottom I think. It's the best faith weapon I've found so far outside the Lightning Perfume. The seal in this fight I just used to cast Golden Vow honestly, I tried to use Lightning spells during it but it's not worth it at 47 faith only.

Oh neat, I definitely picked those up, I didn't realize they were paired for some reason. What's the scaling like?
>Knock her out of them
lol
Yeah. It's what I did and it worked. I took a Giant Crusher with Cragblade on it and I hit her and she stopped swinging.

Pure physical for a mix of Str/Dex/Fai leaning Dex, I'm not optimized for them at all but I love the R1s. The most disappointing weapon so far for faith are the Death Knight Twin Axes, they are literally just a shitty copypaste of the Winged Knight Twin Axes moveset from Dark Souls 3 which means barely any range compared to other paired weapons.

Funny, I actually really like my Death Knight Twin Axes because their weapon art feels like it fixes everything I disliked about the Winged Knight Twinaxes. May I offer you a weapon suggestion? Banished Knight Halberd, Flame Art infused, Black Flame Tornado as the Weapon Art. If you ever need to stand your ground somewhere that thing is a very solid tool ith good Faith scaling.

>Anger literally makes a Faith Build stronger
Kino.
>everyone complaining about endless combos, random delays and strings >literally just roll inward to her right and hit rolling r1 to punish mid-combo >when it starts at a bad time just back space/sprint away
Boss is easy when you're not a scrub mashing the roll button. Can't wait to see you same homosexuals complaining about her getting nerfed.
It's unbelievable how there are still people who are scared of rolling towards the bosses, especially when so many also have moves to punish you if you panicroll to try and make distance. Like this is a concept that even if you've never picked up a souls game before you learn fighting Margit
How do you kill the later dickermans? You cant damage their legs so I thought you were supposed to get up high and hit them but you fall out and die if you try that
Has no lines, fromsoft couldn't even have Rennala's va do her voice. Also wouldn't it have easier to tie her to the basegane by having her be Ranni's teacher Renna?
ok here's my midwit method to beating rellana that's overly convoluted and honestly kind of moronic >get faith build >get scarlet aeonia (scarlet rot on direct hit) and lightning spear (she's standing on a puddle) >get incantation dmg and casting speed talisman and light roll >get erdtree and gravelstone seal >start fight, lightning spear until she's 65% health >scarlet aeonia to apply rot and hope she doesnt kill you >start 2nd phase, continue spam lightning spear >rot exist so you can play more conservatively in her more spastic 2nd phase
there done, the only entrance cost to this strat (if youre not a faith build already) is having more than a few larval tear on the ready
She buttfricked me until I changed to the stance ash of war you get in the dlc (dont remember the name). The R2 with the stance does a lot of poise and regular damage. Plus you get to jump over a lot of her attacks and look rad as hell.
It ended up being a very kino fight.
>summon the knight right outside her door >summon my mimic tear >keep her permanently stunlocked except for when the game briefly demands she be freed
easy
would
Based
armor woman has me acting different
Good taste
I wasted half of my weekend fighting this piece of shit
I fricking love ladyknights
Not getting enough dick from Messmer.
Why is the swordswoman sister also the better spellcaster?

why these guys' queen was so weak while some random knight in their army could solo the gods in the main game?
skill issue, i just stunned her to death, easy as frick. no summons involved so i did beat the boss.
Stunning the boss means you didn't beat it, try without abusing that
but against the lion i struggled a fricking lot, holy shit hes ANNOYING, so far i didnt beat anyone other than those 2 bosses.
wait til you get to putrescent knight
Putrescent Knight is one of those things that make people choose the Frenzied Flame.
>couldn't beat her without cheesing
I summoned 3 friends.. it was pretty easy to be honest!
isn't poise breaking part of the game
So are summons.
i mean even with stunning i struggled a bit till i found exactly when i could stun her, i died like 10 times before it, she just two shots or one shot depending on the move on the 2nd phase, pure cancer, for me.
I am once again asking for any advice on how the frick I'm supposed to dodge her strings especially in phase 2
Circle
Knock her out of them or back away from them and punish her when she's done, she also can't turn them super well.
She has literally 180 me several times during that I don't know how that isn't turning well.
You gotta get behind her man, what are you hitting her with?

Have you tried hitting her?
>uses buffs
>jump+r2 cragblade cheese
lmao did you think you beat her? try again kid
Am I the only one who found the Black Iron Greathammer and thinks this thing is absolutely great? What a beauty!
her problem is black knife tiche who is protecting me her precious baby boy
rollcatch: the boss

I just summoned Tiche, easy game
I curbstomped her with my mimic on second try. Frick this poorly design gameplay.
what would this game be like without summons
get gud
Did you beat her? I approve of what you're doing, if she wants to spam attacks and bullshit she deserves to get frozen and bled.
yeah, I just couldn't fit it in the webm
Just an FYI, but webbum size limits went up to 4MB a while ago. You probably could have fit a bit more in there.
How do you kill the later dickermans? You cant damage their legs so I thought you were supposed to get up high and hit them but you fall out and die if you try that
You throw fire pots into their brazier. A note tells you to do that next to the Shadow Keep entrance.
don't bother with fire pots, use furnace pots. way faster
>why does fire hurt fire golems
idk
Presumably it's overloading them or something.
spent an embarrasing amount of hours today to beat her
fun fight tbqh
She's telling you to use a shield. Why aren't you listening?
Has no lines, fromsoft couldn't even have Rennala's va do her voice. Also wouldn't it have easier to tie her to the basegane by having her be Ranni's teacher Renna?
Yeah what a cop out. She feels like some random npc invader.
>hit her with melee attacks
>shoot her with pully crossbow and fire pots when she starts cast spamming
I'm playing with her armor and weapons, shit's kino.
ok here's my midwit method to beating rellana that's overly convoluted and honestly kind of moronic
