Eh, 120 is what I play at as well, but some games are hard locked to 60 and I can still do that if need be. 30 is brutal though, but then again I dumped countless hours into perfect dark at 8fps so I guess you can just get used to anything.
>but some games are hard locked to 60 and I can still do that if need be
me too, but it takes a long while to get used to. thankfully most capped games can be unlocked without anything breaking. I play Elden Ring and Sekiro with an unlocked framerate. From is just setting moronic framerate caps for no reason.
They're also about as strong as the PS5's GPU, maybe 10% faster, it's not really a good buy at their new price, if you're talking about a good used price though, then that wouldn't be bad.
>They're also about as strong as the PS5's GPU
AAAAAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAAHAHAAAAAHAHAAHAHAAHA
>you will not be getting 50 fps lol, take a look at how awful capcom pc ports have been lately lol
I've been able to get 100 plus frames in every Resident Evil games on high settings. SF6 has been a smooth 60.
>still caring about framerate on consoles
I'm fine with 30. But not getting a ps5, xbox (lol) or changing my pc. Maybe a switch 2 version but only if the game's good
No 60 FPS on my PS5? No buy. Don't give a frick. If you can't make the game at least 1440p60fps go fricking have a nice day I'm not giving you my money.
>with no form of proper up-scaling.
it'll probably still use FSR, like every other console game. so you'll get the FSR blur + the absolute eye cancer of 30 fps being masked by motion blur
At the time it launched you could build a pc with similar specs with old hardware. It was dated the moment it hit the shelves. Unless of course you compare it to other consoles.
NTA, but it's OK, gameplay is very repetitive and it's your typical open world game where you check things off a list and slowly unlock more areas, thankfully, there's not crafting or loot mechanics like items and rarity and that kind of bloat.
I'd say only get it cheap and if you really like Japanese stuff, the city is beautiful, and it's full of Yokai stuff and just a lot of Japanese folklore stuff in general.
The game also looks rather nice, overall I'd say it's a mediocre game, at best a 6/10, but you might like it still.
>New hardware still locks your ass to 30fps
How is this any different from the previous gen hardware lol. Luckily I already bought a nice laptop to run this on so I'm good.
>How is this any different from the previous gen hardware lol.
we now have FSR upscaling the games from 640p to 1440p, so console goyim think the new generation of consoles got a resolution boost (they don't understand how upscaling works).
my series x isn’t even plugged in anymore so it doesn’t download updates for shit i’m not playing. i’d just sell it if i hadn’t been suckered into buying years of gamepass up front. i guess the fact that it’ll play gta someday is a plus but i don’t even care about that
it is but i don’t have a pc or care enough to build one. new consoles used to excite me and be good enough for my needs now they’re just fricking boring with nothing amazing to play
That’s it, I’m building my own console. With a baseline of 200 fps, actual physical copies you’ll own along with the digital if you wish to download it earlier, zero censorship, and no more “type a type b” bullshit.. aww forget it..
I think more console players should go ahead and get one of those handheld pc's. You get all the convenience of a console with the flexibility of a pc.

dragons DOGSHIT poo (alliteration for the number 'two,' for those not catching on. Though it's also number two, because two is the number of poo.)
Appreciate it. I put a lot of thought into that post. I was a little shaky about the whole 'poo' part, but I'm glad it landed. It's stressful sometimes. Having to make funny content on Ganker. Comments like yours though. They keep me going.
Dragon's Dogma 2, or as I like to call it, Dragon's Do-not-buy 2, is an absolute disaster. I had high hopes for a sequel that would blow my mind, but what did we get? A hot mess of graphics that look like they were pulled straight from a PS2 dumpster
The story? More generic than a knockoff cereal brand. Dragons, heroes, and the same tired fantasy tropes we've seen a million times. Did Capcom raid a preschool for writers? It's insulting.
Gameplay? It's a clunky, poor imitation of better RPGs. The combat system feels like it was designed by someone who's never played a game before, and the AI is so braindead that my pet rock could outsmart it.
And microtransactions? Oh, they've got those too. Want a decent weapon or armor set? Whip out your wallet, because earning it through gameplay is so last decade. Capcom's trying to bleed us dry at every turn.
In conclusion, Dragon's Flopma 2 is a shameful cash grab by a company that's lost its way. Save your money for a real RPG that respects its players. Dragon's Do-not-buy 2 is a dumpster fire, and I wouldn't touch it with a stolen controller. Stay woke, Ganker.
Did consolegays really think this 60 fps trend would last forever?
Judging by the amount of people shitting themselves upon hearing the news, the answer is yes.
I bet they sure are glad Sony forced that new gen with higher prices only to end up back where they started.
No 60 fps for Monster Hunter either
the funny part is that anything under 120 fps feels unplayable for me on PC, and yet consolegays still treat 60 as the holy grail of "smoothness", kek
Eh, 120 is what I play at as well, but some games are hard locked to 60 and I can still do that if need be. 30 is brutal though, but then again I dumped countless hours into perfect dark at 8fps so I guess you can just get used to anything.

worrying.
if it runs shit on consoles how is it gonna run on my nearly 10 year old pc
Get a cheap rtx card and bank off dlss. It's better than dropping everything to low. If you can of course. 2000 series cards are going for dirt cheap.
3060's are incredibly cheap right now.
They're also about as strong as the PS5's GPU, maybe 10% faster, it's not really a good buy at their new price, if you're talking about a good used price though, then that wouldn't be bad.
>They're also about as strong as the PS5's GPU
AAAAAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAHAAHAHAAAAAHAHAAHAHAAHA
>time to pay $1000+ for a GPU and accept the DRM goy....
>I'm poor, so playing the best version of the game is bad
>best version
>DRM cuts fps by 20 to 30% by default
>console Black person regurgitating fake memes spread by seething turd worlders that can't pirate anymore
>my greentext will subvert your years of experience with cancerous drm !!
you will not be getting 50 fps lol, take a look at how awful capcom pc ports have been lately lol
every recent capcom game has ran perfectly
cry pablo
Then why can't his FX-6300 + GTX 550 Ti rig run Resident Evil 4 Remake at 1080p at 60fps?
cope all you want, all recent capcom ports have had issues. lol
They still run better than the console versions.
>you will not be getting 50 fps lol, take a look at how awful capcom pc ports have been lately lol
I've been able to get 100 plus frames in every Resident Evil games on high settings. SF6 has been a smooth 60.
50 FPS is still better than 30, with constant dips to sub 20
This isn't true, but I would still be able to run the game better than a PS5 could if it was.
>Rumor
>still caring about framerate on consoles
I'm fine with 30. But not getting a ps5, xbox (lol) or changing my pc. Maybe a switch 2 version but only if the game's good
If it is lock to 30 on the consoles, just imagine how compromised a potential port on a 15w apu would be.
>I'm fine with 30.
You're a fricking idiot.
I don't how pretty shit looks or how seamless it shines. I only need good shit
This is pretty surprising considering how low quality the graphics are for the game.
It isn't . People complain about millennial devs not knowing how to optimize.well japoid devs have always been bad coders
They'll israelite console gays and tell you to upgrade to a "pro" later for an unlocked framerate.
bingo
No 60 FPS on my PS5? No buy. Don't give a frick. If you can't make the game at least 1440p60fps go fricking have a nice day I'm not giving you my money.
Your PS5 is old tech at this point with no form of proper up-scaling. You take what you get.
>with no form of proper up-scaling.
it'll probably still use FSR, like every other console game. so you'll get the FSR blur + the absolute eye cancer of 30 fps being masked by motion blur
Blame Sony for the weak hardware and unrealistic expectations
PS5 is not weak, it's just a little old at this point, it was rather good for its time.
>PS5 is 4 years old this year
Sure doesn't feel like it
Only because it still has no games
Even ps4 had bloodborne after 4 years
yeah like late this year. Does it feel like year 3?
If you told me the PS5 isn't out yet I would believe you.
At the time it launched you could build a pc with similar specs with old hardware. It was dated the moment it hit the shelves. Unless of course you compare it to other consoles.
underrated post
does any PS5 game hit a stable 60?
back compat PS4 games, kek. if they aren't locked to 30 fps without any way of unlocking them.
From what I've played? I'll mention games that aren't on PS4 too like Gran Turismo 7.
Deathloop, Tekken 8, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Demon's Souls, Ghostwire: Tokyo.
How is Ghostwire. I keep forgetting I have that game. Just never got around to it.
Fun for 2 whole hours. After that it's 10-20 hours of the same shit you did in the first 2 hours with almost LITERALLY nothing new after 2 hours.
NTA, but it's OK, gameplay is very repetitive and it's your typical open world game where you check things off a list and slowly unlock more areas, thankfully, there's not crafting or loot mechanics like items and rarity and that kind of bloat.

why did you type the word slop nine times
lol consolegays
why the frick do they even bother with these performance modes when consolegays can't even tell
>1440p60fps
You mean 720p45fps right?
How many games even run at 1440p 60 fps? Some fighting games maybe? Racing games?
>buy crap harddware
>it runs like crap
wtf how could this happen to me, a fanboy?
>Some people pay 400 plus tip to run games at thirty(30) frames per second in the year 2024
capcom only has monster hunter while others are trash.
You mean 30 frames per second*
>* At UP TO 30 frames per second
The entire console has the same tdp as one 3060, yet it's more powerful according to the shills.
Curious technology!
don't forget paying a cuck tax to access the internet they're already paying for
>New hardware still locks your ass to 30fps
How is this any different from the previous gen hardware lol. Luckily I already bought a nice laptop to run this on so I'm good.
>How is this any different from the previous gen hardware lol.

Who knew buying a box full of cheap parts you can't upgrade would have trouble down the line?
my series x isn’t even plugged in anymore so it doesn’t download updates for shit i’m not playing. i’d just sell it if i hadn’t been suckered into buying years of gamepass up front. i guess the fact that it’ll play gta someday is a plus but i don’t even care about that
If you have gamepass ultimate can't you just play the games on PC anyway? Sell the paper weight.
it is but i don’t have a pc or care enough to build one. new consoles used to excite me and be good enough for my needs now they’re just fricking boring with nothing amazing to play
It better not be like that on PC or I will straight up ask for a refund. Not playing broken shit. I have a 4090, I expect proper framerate.
the human eye can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps, I am beyond tired of this meme
That’s it, I’m building my own console. With a baseline of 200 fps, actual physical copies you’ll own along with the digital if you wish to download it earlier, zero censorship, and no more “type a type b” bullshit.. aww forget it..
there's already footage of PS5 60fps, nice try discord troony
.. Wait, people were expecting 60FPS?
Consolegays think that all of their games run at 4k 60 fps. They can't tell the difference.
I think more console players should go ahead and get one of those handheld pc's. You get all the convenience of a console with the flexibility of a pc.
the games designed on re engine
What did people expect?
RE Engine generally has great performance
if DD2 run at 30PFS, it should look exactly like DD1.
sorry console bros but yourhardware is simply holding you back
HOLY SHIT!
HOW WILL OP RESPOND?
She's going all out.

I build my rigs for ~90 fps, don't really feel the need for more to be quite honest with you mi famiglia.
Thanks to freesync monitors you don't have to.
muricans cant see past 30fps
