>spoil nearly every kingdom >tons and tons of moons that requires almost no effort to get >many moons behind Sunshine-style bonus levels instead of in the kingdoms proper >no overworld connecting the kingdoms, only a world map
It's literally the perfect game, no one has been able to come up with anything negative about it other than "I dunno it has too many moons I guess xD".
it is revolutionary though
the hat mechanics make it one of the best platformers out there
are there even any other platformers in the market that allow players to switch up the style of traversal or gameplay?
It's a great game. It made me with there was a hybrid game with the controls of Odyssey but with the abilities and inventory and equipment of Breath of the Wild.
There is a LOT that went wrong, far more than what went right. However, you are not allowed to discuss this on Ganker, because Mario fans are the most defensive and autistic majority on this board that have the sheer audacity to call sonic fans sperges while they fill up 500+ post threads arguing over whether a table is made of paper.

Ends too quickly, and they repeated the same mistake that BotW made with Koroks. Super Mario Land 2 already did an unconventional take on Mario. Odyssey was a decade too late.
who knows
good morning sir
nothing. it is a great game.

they didnt make another one. too busy shitting out remakes
people want mario games to feel revolutionary. this one didnt. it was just a solid platformer
what was revolutionary about sunshine?
Water physics and graphical leap was huge from N64 but you had to be there you dumbass zoomer
>Solid plattformer
>Is the best polattform er since Mario Galaxy 2
I hate this board with the moronic takes

lack of decently long missions
Unironically? Trooned out.
Nothing
only objective flaw I can consider odyssey having is certain abilities locked behind motion controls like the full speed roll
other than that it's literally the perfect video game, it's the best 3d Mario and it's absolutely oozing soul
no one ever talks about how this game has entirely original enemies and locations
>only objective flaw I can consider odyssey having is certain abilities locked behind motion controls like the full speed roll
Pretty much.
yeah, that is also my only critic about this game
everything else is great
-levels were poorly planned and have random amounts of moons, varying wildly in quality.
-physics were poorly planned... you can throw your hat, dive on it, throw your hat again but diving on it again makes you fall through it.
-waggle
I think the game is just kind of boring, which tends to happen with all somewhat open-ended games.
The easy moons are there so kids can collect enough moons to get to the next kingdom.
Nothing
Great game. I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully a launch title with Switch 2.

Stopped reading there after looking at your homosexual pic
paper thin response
>mario fans
never played any other mario game and i think this one was a great platformer
>tranime pic
no reply needed
nothing
just started playing it and it's a lot of fun
low skill ceiling
Kid's game
Too many moons and attacks locked behind motion controls.
lack of hard plataforming like the final moon level. I prefer 3d world but it is just a personal preference, game is great.
