Shit tons if you're referring to FMage in general, which Enchantress is just a subclass of. For the longest time FMage was the undisputed most popular class for fanart and porn.
It got figured out I guess
There are very clear tiers and if you aren't playing the best it's very one sided. Not that you can't win obviously but the combo get old pretty fast.

What went wrong with DNF?
Slow movement for the majority of the cast, walkspeeds need to be buffed.
moronicly strong disjointed attacks that go fullscreen
lack of basic normals
specials and command being overtuned compared to jabs and heavies
three major comeback mechanics in MP, awakening, and your super and all are ridiculously strong
lack of good defensive options
It created a game that was just spam your strongest moves into combo, but your combo is limited by how much MP you have and you only get higher reserves by losing. The strategy for a lot of characters is to stop attacking before a character reaches awakening and to reset or wait for your MP to replenish so you can kill before they get their comeback mechanic. It fricks up pacing and makes every fight predictable.

I looked up fanart of this character and found like 20 other characters that are all red haired elves. Is the majority of the cast red haired elves or what? I don't know anything about this game.
Every main class has several subclasses. These represent alternative fate these characters go through. Each subclasses advances and have a different main character art to represent them. Female mage has like 5 subclasses with 4 awakening stages so thats probably what you saw.

thanks that makes sense.
Is this a fighting game, an mmo, RPG? What kinda game? The art looks nice so I am interested. Don't like fighting games though.
>barely a product >not at any offline tournaments which are back in vogue >company only promoting korean and japanese netplay events >players hit plateau fast in games like this with minor mechanical depth >not a legacy IP
there's other shit. i mean it's a fighting game. i think it averages like 600? players right now which isn't bad with rollback. it might pick up some if they announce a character or two at EVO plus the first patch.
Mechanically its not a very interesting game.
There are a lack of mix-ups due to no one have a ground overhead.
You can block any pressure strings with a low block and only switch to standing block when someone jumps. This led to match ups where people just block and hope that the other guy messes up. Run speed and air speed is overall pretty slow. Characters with fast and big lows will become top tier just because they can pressure better than characters without it(You can't move without standing). Air approaches are just too risky with no block.
Overall characters lack options since everything has to be mapped to quick buttons(Cardinals+face buttons). Most characters just don't have any interesting character mechanics because of this.
>There are a lack of mix-ups due to no one have a ground overhead.
instead most of the cast has crazy instant overheads, breaks your guard in two interactions so they force you to do something besides downback, or have extremely annoying crossups combined with throws that start combos when you cant tech throws while using the block button to easily beat crossups
odd nexon isnt promoting it in the mmo like they do in most crossovers. They dont want to attract pvp players to another game to lose potential endgame profits
I like the game. I just wish the devs would tell us about what the future of the game holds already. Feels awkward being in a limbo state where people don't even know if the game is getting more characters or not.
Neople/Nexon's marketing for this game has been AWFUL. They will have radio silence for months and then drop a bunch of trailers without warning for a week or so and then go back to nothing. They're probably going to announce a big patch and a DLC pass with one or two specific reveals at EVO but you could've had the team announce that they WILL patch the game instead of people just assuming/hoping for shit like Hitman Awakening, Striker Guard Break strings, and everything Swift Master does to be addressed (also buffing Vanguard/Launcher/Enchantress/Inquisitor because damn they need help).
1. The IP is unknown in the west, and in the countries where DFO is known they don't play a lot of fighting games (Korea having some Tekken pros and China liking KOF doesn't mean they play a lot of fighters).
2. The game is designed like something from the mid-late 00s because it's 8ing doing their thing without giving a shit about how most modern fighting games attempt to be balanced. Also a straight-up unlock-only boss character in current year (which is cool but confused people who weren't around for unlockable characters being the norm nonetheless)
3. A couple of missteps like Guard Cancels being too expensive and Conversion being too scarcely accessible to 90% of the cast despite it being the most flexible and interesting mechanic.
4. The absolute bare minimum of content; Story is just Arcade with unskippable VN scenes, the tutorial is solid but nothing revolutionary or comprehensive, there's pretty much nothing to do that isn't hop online or play local sets. GBVS had a beat-em-up mode and this didn't when DFO is a fricking beat-em-up itself.
5. People called it dead on arrival upon its announcement and created a self-fulfilling prophecy (although you can find games more easily than KOFXV & MBTL at the moment)
It's one of my favorite fighting games in years but the writing is on the wall. I hoped for it to be the game I play until SF6 but it might die before then.
It’s a fun game, but it is admittedly quite shallow and therefore got solved real quick. I think it’ll be up to the devs to add new updates to maintain the life of the game because as others have said it is pretty bare bones right now.
>it is admittedly quite shallow
It's more that the depth is kept from most characters. Some Awakenings have significant changes to move properties while others are insignificant tweaks (or a fricking NERF for Grappler's), and Conversion allows for exponentially more options/extensions/mixups but only Berserker & Trouble Shooter have access to it at will. Swift Master is Top 1 because he has so much freedom without needing Conversion or Awakening and very rarely fears Exhaustion because his combos incorporate a lot of normals despite the several MP specials used.
Make Conversion more readily available somehow and you open up the options a lot more. Also maybe sprinkle in a few more overheads, no reason why Launcher j.A and the Madd downward swipe from Enchantress can't be overheads.
Everyone wants a fighting game like "the good old days" until they have to actually play it. people just can't cope with a game where you laugh off bullshit top tiers robbing you sometimes even though there are tons of tournaments where people like ranger are beating all the bullshit characters. Years of balance patches/new seasons every 4-8 months has ruined fighting game discourse online
To many "The good old days" is their preferred pre-V Street Fighter game. I saw the 8ing logo when they announced this game and I knew what I was getting into. I grew up with some of their licensed anime fighting games (although I only realized years later) and loved TvC & Marvel 3 as well.

>Everyone wants a fighting game like "the good old days"
This plays nothing like the good old days. Simple inputs, slow walkspeeds, combos limited to the MP system, etc.
This is a new fighter through and through.
People kept trying to tell themselves that the game was fun because “haha everyone is broken that’s sooooo kusoge lol!” But then realized that the actual top tiers shit on the rest of the cast and just aren’t fun to fight against.
That and kept flip flopping on >it’s ok that the game is really simple as long as it’s fun >actually it’s not that simple you just have to wait for tech to be discovered
And then barely any tech was discovered. Game is pretty much the same as it was week 1.
I hope it does get updates because there’s so many cool classes they can still pull from DFO and I do find the game fun to play in short bursts.
The top half of the cast has tech but that's why most of the bad matchups exist. Even some strong characters just get dumpstered by characters that aren't even Swift or Hitman (people saying Crusader is Top haven't used him against a good Berserker, a good Grappler, or a good Kunoichi). I honestly think the tweaks they need to make to improve the chances of the weaker portion of the cast/make the top tiers less oppressive aren't that significant, but the only actual balance patches 8ing has ever put out were for Marvel 3 and had some of the weirdest choices of that decade (the great Sentinel health nerf, the only patch Ultimate ever got being a Phoenix Wright nerf) so it's a tossup.
If one your characters so busted you can literally flowchart your way in a match (Swift Master )even against actual pros you need to rethink how your game works
I just started DPing at round start against SM and it has worked every time because literally every one tries to run in and 5b at the start.
I’m convinced this character is played by bots.
its insane how random shitmans and swift masters can btfo best pros. this shit doesnt happen even in soive so if that doesnt tell you something i dont know what will lmao.
>no fight money >no cosmetics >no battlepass
Any multiplayer game that doesn't have some gimmick to keep players playing is a lazy cashgrab. LoL, fortnite, and even fall guys figured this out years ago.
The balance isn't the problem, even though it's shit
The game just isn't fun. It's extremely linear and limiting, the only systems that offer any freedom or are at all interesting are offensive but without equally good mechanics in defence and neutral to counteract them that just makes offence linear and boring too.
It had some neat ideas, there's almost some cool stuff with mp management that isn't like any other fighting game for example, but the game does nothing with any of them. Even MP is way less significant than it could be, awakening is just a generic comeback mechanic, only a couple characters can reliably access conversion, the guard gauge and block button interact which could be cool but not really meaningfully, and the lack of good defensive options means the main time the guard bar matters is unavoidable guardbreak setups, and rolls in fighting games are always cool but it's as simple and generic as you can get and only has really straightforward interactions with pressure and neutral and there's nothing particularly cool you can do with it.
It's just a game where after you've played for a week you've seen and done everything there is to do.
Posts like this hurt because as much as I enjoy the game and pretty much got what I expected/wanted on a base level it's correct.
It's a real shame since Crusader is a contender for the most fun fighting game character ever despite his insane reliance on meter and some proper struggle matchups. But I've played much worse games for characters I liked less.
>Bad balance (Infinite blockstrings/TOD on block/Top 3 being blatantly broken) >No updates/dlc announced >Not at EVO >Conversion being broken for those who can reliably use it, near worthless on those who cant >Guard Cancel being character specific and ass at the same time >Ranked/Player system cant add people as friends >Bare bones everything else
Like they could just patch the balance with Swift/Striker/Hit being nerfed, change guard cancel to use like 50-60 mana, and make it so you cant conversion after using moves that give you white life for a bit and the game would be in a much better state, Its 100% the balance of the game that is killing it. Noone wants to get Swiftmastered, Strikers Blockstringed, or Hitman DP'd.
It really is such a strange game. IT almost feels like it wasn't even balanced by a battle designer, but individual devs for individual characters. Like how does a character like Swifmaster exist in the same game as Launcher?
Striker compared to Vanguard
Swiftmaster compared to Launcher
Dragon Knight compared to Enchantress
Characters were obviously designed in a vacuum or at the very least vs like vanguard lol.
It's 8ing, of course they don't consider balance in the large scale they just make characters and systems they find fun and ship. The combat director for this game way one of the lead designers in TvC and MvC3; think about how much insane shit those games had with Capcom staff trying to enforce balance.
The only 8ing fighters that aren't crazy bullshit and feel like relatively wholly designed games are some of the Bloody Roars and those games are still pretty out there compared to the other 3D fighting game franchises.
Every character is fun to play as in some respect except Vanguard. Even Launcher who is worse than Vanguard is fun. Vanguard players that made Deity are stone cold killers, I have no idea how they could stomach that grind when he barely has 2 not-bad matchups.
Wacky shit is one thing but you can't make a modern fighting game with someone like Swift Master and get away with it. It's like making a modern day version of Petshop, a character that's so overwhelming that they can get actually banned because how busted they are
Funnily enough, a lot of tournament organizers were talking about banning SM a few weeks back. Don’t know if it actually passed but the last tournament I watched didn’t have a single SM in Top 8, but that may have been a coincidence.
This
You cant get away with broken shit in a 1 v 1 PvP game anymore because patches have been a thing for like 10 years now and information spreads so fast games are solved in the first couple weeks. Shits inexcusable and should be patched within the month.
On the bright side they did announce a balance patch was coming after only a few weeks. I don't think I've ever seen a fighting game announce a balance patch is coming this early after release.
They need to release infor about it asap. Game is literally bleeding out because of how bad the balance is and everyone is expecting it around/after evo. So many people I know are gonna drop the game if the patch aint next weekish.
>DNF barely inspired any porn >When DFO had a really small amount for how long it's been around >Most of the recent stuff is just Striker; very little DK/Kunoichi and no Launcher
offense is too braindead, every character has an easy to do ToD combo that works regardless of if you block the starter or not
basically, you guess wrong once at round start and you lose
This game is really only fun at Bronze level. It's been so awful to play at Deity where everyone just mashes 2MS during blockstrings. I can't even make lobbies anymore because my rank scares away new players and only attracts braindead flowcharters.
>I like DFO but I don't like fighting games
I don't get it. I can get liking fighters but not DFO because it's an MMO but DFO was literally built by and for fighting game and beat-em-up fans.
Modern DFO is nothing like beat-em-up - somewhere until Time Gate it still played like one, but starting from Power Plant it became "use a skill to clear an entire room, repeat for every non-boss room, use Awakenings in boss room, gg". And raids are just pure cancer that killed every leftover part of beat-em-up in DFO.
Fighting games now a days are forever destined to last only a month at best and slowly but surely meet their death.
fighting games, specially the indie ones, have to reach unreachable requirements to be kept alive >Have a considerable fanbase from the getgo or high amounts of hype >Community support (simple enough if the game is well liked) >Heavy developer support from the start, this means tournaments with prices, patches, etc. >All of the above, at a consistent levels through its live span
It doesn't help that modern gaming is just not suited for fighting games, you can argue that fighting games are bigger than they are back then but when you compare it with the growth that other genres have gotten then you notice that the genre may as well be dead.
I thought Melty could break the curse but it didn't because it doesn't have huge tournaments, GBVS also drop the ball by not having good netcode despite being somewhat popular and having tournaments.
One of the few that you can say "broke" the curse somewhat, was strive but even then it was more luck than anything, it was released in a time where people wanted new fighting game (there was also covid and what not) with actual netcode and it delivered with the "full force" of arcsys, not to mention it already have a fanbase.
Melty was kinda fricked cause the character designs kinda only appeal to people who already like tsukihime. Most normies just think its the fighting game with 20 generic JKs.
Anyone who knew what DFO was wanted DFO2. Literally no one wanted yet another coomer weeb NRS style fighter. They decided to ignore the game everyone wanted and instead make the game no one wanted. Who in their right mind though it would succeed?
>NRS style fighter
Hey man Duel has problems but it's nowhere near as bad as NRS games. >They decided to ignore the game everyone wanted and instead make the game no one wanted
DFO's devs have been fighting game fans from the very beginning, they probably just throw some of their immense revenues at ArcSys to make them a fighter just to come full circle.
overfocused on china, completely ruined the game in NA by allowing moronic americans to ever touch it (same reason the rest of the nexon portfolio went from record smashing amazing behemoths in gaming to complete flaccid wastes of space, it's not a surprise that the western versions of their games all flop. They add in a ton of fricking p2w.
>swift master and hitman >striker can guard break you better than vanguard >they put launcher, a straight zoner in the same game as pic related >anti airs are fricking terrible so dragon knight and kunoichi can stay in the air for free most of the time >there are moves that can be perfectly rolled but you cant really punish because they recover so fast its plus on whiff >guard cancel costs 100 fricking MP so if your at full health and theyre in awakening you have to spend all of your resources >only berserker really benefits from conversion
certain instant tracking moves like crusader wall and LW grab make the game beyond tedious to play >one combo fits all for pretty much any situation so theres no reason to do any other combo most of the time
Chinese server is pretty much unplayable if you don't invest money - the game balance was twisted so much because of people upgrading their equipment too hard and publisher (Tencent lol) gushing out P2W items in 30$ character cosmetic packages that most of enemy stats were bumped in order to match that powercreep. Chinks who are unable to afford that much of an investment either play on Global server (and they're probably at least 50% of population there right now) or on Korean server (but it's mostly oldgays with sunken cost, ever since chink director fiasco few years ago newbies prefer to avoid kDnF)
is there porn of her?
Shit tons if you're referring to FMage in general, which Enchantress is just a subclass of. For the longest time FMage was the undisputed most popular class for fanart and porn.
You aren't looking very hard then.

homie, I gould say that about every FG a month or two after Its release.
Its somehow even more braindead than soive. I though thats impossible but here we are.

F. Mage in DNF Duel when. Need more UUUOOHHH ToT
thanks that makes sense.
Is this a fighting game, an mmo, RPG? What kinda game? The art looks nice so I am interested. Don't like fighting games though.
It's a beat-em-up style MMO. It's a genuinely great game but it's also like 20 years old and shows it. It came out around the time Vanilla WOW did.
>Don't like fighting games
Why?
Just not my type of game. I prefer RTS, FPS, and various kinds of RPGs. There's probably genres you don't like too. Just how it is.
She's just one of the 5 subclasses of the female mage class.
It's basically Final Fight but online and with big ass skills that clear the screen.
>20 variations
>all 12 y/o
uh can i get one my age, bros?
>20 variations
It's just 5. The awakenings don't count as new variants.
sad i can`t find porn of her

Only Enchantress does, specifically in her Neo awakening. And it's because she literally loses her right eye in the previous awakening.

This plays nothing like the good old days. Simple inputs, slow walkspeeds, combos limited to the MP system, etc.
This is a new fighter through and through.
third worlders couldn't afford the game to prop up its playerbase so people pretend its meaningfully more dead then any other anime fighting game
All style an zero substance.
Also the fact the FGC keeps eating itself alive when most communities are just flinging shit at each other.
People kept trying to tell themselves that the game was fun because “haha everyone is broken that’s sooooo kusoge lol!” But then realized that the actual top tiers shit on the rest of the cast and just aren’t fun to fight against.

For a long time I was very confused by DFO because my only interaction with the series was the Anime Slap up party Arad senki.
it was ok. was surprised it got a anime adaption and another where they were in school
If one your characters so busted you can literally flowchart your way in a match (Swift Master )even against actual pros you need to rethink how your game works
This is Go1, the best DNF player in the world no contest.
That's the exactly the moment I'm referring to.
Literally brainless: the character
I just started DPing at round start against SM and it has worked every time because literally every one tries to run in and 5b at the start.

its insane how random shitmans and swift masters can btfo best pros. this shit doesnt happen even in soive so if that doesnt tell you something i dont know what will lmao.

Welecome to every fighting game ever.
Switching engines everytime something new caught Broussard's attention.
$49.99 for a fighting game based on something nobody outside of Korea know about.
Lack of cum
Lack of her trainer
I am going to suck the mana out of this trainer
im gonna pray the man gets more art to fill my nostalgic imagery

No Mech or Spitfire. I get Ranger and Launcher are marketable, but c'mon.
but mech mommy is in the game. Shes using launcher's weapons
Trouble shooter might as well be spitfire with his aoes. No need for sniper or armies

yeah its pretty fun
both of your are correct

So they made 4 characters they liked playing as and ignored the rest and sent it out. What a great dev.
So many people I know are gonna drop the game if the patch aint next weekish.
samsho 2019 did iirc, because it came out not that long before EVO, and top 8 for the game was 6 genjuros, 1 charlotte and 1 haohmaru
That wasn't 3 weeks though
Picked the wrong nexon game to base a fighter on
Mabinogi Duel OST bumps
Don't care DFO came out before America went to shit
reminds me of the emperean stages namely powerstation.
>Tallest & bustiest girl is Bottom 1
>But the flatty and the e-girl are both Bottom 4 as well
What's their endgame
>DNF barely inspired any porn
>When DFO had a really small amount for how long it's been around
>Most of the recent stuff is just Striker; very little DK/Kunoichi and no Launcher
Theres tons of it. its just boring because its the oc characters most of the time.
Striker's ass was posted right there, you couldnt ignore it
Does anyone want to play if I make a Playstation lobby?
I committed to playing MVS with my friend tonight but I would otherwise.
Nobody gives a flying frick about fighting games.
offense is too braindead, every character has an easy to do ToD combo that works regardless of if you block the starter or not
basically, you guess wrong once at round start and you lose
This game is really only fun at Bronze level. It's been so awful to play at Deity where everyone just mashes 2MS during blockstrings. I can't even make lobbies anymore because my rank scares away new players and only attracts braindead flowcharters.
It has anime fighter moves/hitboxes without the anime movement.
Granblue rollback when?
Hopefully next week
no one asked about granblue
no one cares about granblue
granblue is a dead game
I don't like GBVS at all but if it got rollback it would be much more active than DNF which is a shame but also reality.
Probably because it's a better game and way more fun than dnf.
>better game
Probably
>more fun
not at all
I definitely think Granblue is way more fun than dnf. Dnf is super boring compared to granblue since it's way more interactive.
granblue has a grappler with antiairs?
Maybe? I haven't played in like a year so I don't know what changed.
I like DFO but I don't like fighting games. DFO 2 also cancelled. What do?
>I like DFO but I don't like fighting games
I don't get it. I can get liking fighters but not DFO because it's an MMO but DFO was literally built by and for fighting game and beat-em-up fans.
Fighting games and beat em ups are not the same thing.
Modern DFO is nothing like beat-em-up - somewhere until Time Gate it still played like one, but starting from Power Plant it became "use a skill to clear an entire room, repeat for every non-boss room, use Awakenings in boss room, gg". And raids are just pure cancer that killed every leftover part of beat-em-up in DFO.
maybe at first. now its for "fill the screen with bullshit" fans.
just play bbcf
It's been like 12+ years. Let it die already
no
susanoo is my favorite fighting game character
Never.
swift master
>Goth e-girl
I'll now purchase your game!
She's American
Fighting games now a days are forever destined to last only a month at best and slowly but surely meet their death.
fighting games, specially the indie ones, have to reach unreachable requirements to be kept alive
>Have a considerable fanbase from the getgo or high amounts of hype
>Community support (simple enough if the game is well liked)
>Heavy developer support from the start, this means tournaments with prices, patches, etc.
It doesn't help that the new game got rid of all the characters that actually did have unique designs.
it filtered executionlets really hard, in dnf you need to constantly adjust your attacks based on distance and height and not just play a rhythm game
>melty
Anyone feel like playing? I'd host a concerto lobby for a bit, see if I can still remember what I was working on last time I played.
What happen to the project BBQ?
Canceled into souls-like, The mobile game is out. The other game is still in development
NRS dont even make fighting games
everything, it was never good to begin with
overfocused on china, completely ruined the game in NA by allowing moronic americans to ever touch it (same reason the rest of the nexon portfolio went from record smashing amazing behemoths in gaming to complete flaccid wastes of space, it's not a surprise that the western versions of their games all flop. They add in a ton of fricking p2w.
No English Dub. Same thing that happened with Blazblue and Guilty Gear sadly.
They deserved to have the game fail because best girl is DLC bait
ASW's current approach to fighting games is one of all style, no substance. They're relying on the visuals to carry everything else.
I hope their Blazblue team makes a new game because I have no hope for their Guilty Gear team anymore
>ASW's current approach to fighting games is one of all style, no substance
>ASW literally just did the visuals all of the balance is 8ing
>swift master and hitman
>striker can guard break you better than vanguard
>they put launcher, a straight zoner in the same game as pic related
>anti airs are fricking terrible so dragon knight and kunoichi can stay in the air for free most of the time
>there are moves that can be perfectly rolled but you cant really punish because they recover so fast its plus on whiff
>guard cancel costs 100 fricking MP so if your at full health and theyre in awakening you have to spend all of your resources
>only berserker really benefits from conversion
certain instant tracking moves like crusader wall and LW grab make the game beyond tedious to play
>one combo fits all for pretty much any situation so theres no reason to do any other combo most of the time
>No name f2p asiaticshit mmo only played by poor shitter 3rd worlder
>Release a $60 fighting game
No wonder this shit flop
Actually, it's the most profitable MMO in the world because it's P2W in China, so chink whales invest a ton of money into it
How many chink whales compare to the rest of f2p player?
Chinese server is pretty much unplayable if you don't invest money - the game balance was twisted so much because of people upgrading their equipment too hard and publisher (Tencent lol) gushing out P2W items in 30$ character cosmetic packages that most of enemy stats were bumped in order to match that powercreep. Chinks who are unable to afford that much of an investment either play on Global server (and they're probably at least 50% of population there right now) or on Korean server (but it's mostly oldgays with sunken cost, ever since chink director fiasco few years ago newbies prefer to avoid kDnF)
