My left eye is definitely worse then my right eye and I believe that I will eventually lose sight in my left eye. My eye doctor said the lens in my eye was too thin for lasek. Sucks bros.
>blurry vision in my left eye >opto says eventually my right eye will weaken eventually as it's constantly overcompensating >"psshh I'll worry about it in the future"
The future is now and I need reading glasses.
I'm in the exact same situation and it's all because of my family's shitty eye genetics, my right eye is perfectly fine but my left one is basically useless since everything looks blurry unless I'm millimeters close to what I'm trying to read, I'm also considering getting laser surgery but I guess I'll get told the same thing as you
Im in the same boat anon
At least you'll be able to look cool with an eyepatch though, if the worst does happen
If I become completely blind on my left eye I'll get majima's eye patch
This would imply I'll grow old. I snort speed, eat greasy takeout food and whatever pills I can get my junkie hands on and drink beer everyday. Oh, and play video gaems. Unlike most of you.
Am 45 and pretty fricked up but gaymin all right still. My issue is i only enjoy online stuff and it will get harder and harder to compete i assume. Ill prolly play single player shit and maybe get a hmd again in the future?
Already happening, my finger joints are fricked from a combination of gaming, wall climbing and gymnastics. I can't play more than 2 hours a day or my hands hurt so much that I can't play for the next few days. I just end up spending my time on Ganker or youtube.
Hopefully death with dignity is more legalized throughout the US if/when my body ever gets to the state.
I work in healthcare, I see people regularly hit their 80s, 90s, 100s.
But for what? Are they living a fulfilling life? No, they're just in a bed, we pump them full of fluids and meds and check their BNP because let's see how much their heart is straining now, maybe some antibiotics because they've got another infection. Their family drags them in, talks about how great it is to still have grandma or grandpa around and they can barely do anything besides stare at a television or be paraded by relatives.
And that's what worse, it's one thing to be senile, it's another to be mentally competent and trapped in that body.
At the same time, the opposite is also terrifying. This one always sticks with me, older woman, barely a notch above braindead, vacant eyes, has to be strapped down to keep her from swinging or biting people or pulling out her IVs, randomly starts screaming. Can't even say words or focus on anything in the room. Daughters are in the room, she doesn't have any "do not resuscitate" or similar plans of actions about what to do if things go south fast like her heart stops. We ask them what to do, they say they're not ready to say goodbye. And all I can think is "say goodbye to what?"
Alternatively maybe we'll have video games you can just control with your mind, slip VR goggles onto your head.
>All you need is the ability to move your fingers
If you can no longer play any games due to health you're not going to be thinking of gaming. If I was at that point I would muster all my strength into ending it.
There's no way I'm making it past my mid 40s
If I'm too old for Turn based then I'm already at the point of death.
You could always be paralyzed by a stroke
That is a form of death when you think about it
vr
considering current and future events, Im pretty sure everyone unable to work will just be shot.

ask him about laser treatment on your next visit maybe that'll work

Constantly overcompensating? Shouldnt your right eye stay the same as long as you dont subject it to too much near work?

>too old to play games due to declining health
I'll stop procrastinating and start being a productive member of society
This would imply I'll grow old. I snort speed, eat greasy takeout food and whatever pills I can get my junkie hands on and drink beer everyday. Oh, and play video gaems. Unlike most of you.
I'll die before getting old.
Continue to play games on my handhelds.

Doesn't typing hurt your fingers?
if I write a reddit sized paragraph, yes. Shitposting on Ganker is manageable.
No such thing. If you can't even games you will die very soon

My health had already declined at 32 and I probably won't make it past 60 due to kidney failure and further complications of type 1 diabetes.
I'ma just play vidya till I die simple as. Don't wanna end up hardly able to function like says.
I'll probably have other issues and wouldn't care at that point.
I'm already working on BCI, I went to engineering college so I'll never stop playing videogames.
I’ve had blurry vision since I was 15, glasses ? Don’t need them lol , I’m basically Batman now that I’m 32
hopefully the elon brain thing works by then
realistically just watch streamers
David Sinclair and Aubrey De Gray says aging's time will be up soon so I don't think about it.
I want to find a way to kill myself painlessly, definitely, and quickly with 0 risk. Unfortunately, Australia is noguns so it's fricked.
I regret my career choice so much. Underpaid with so many fricking hours.
sit in a chair all day and play the demos of me owning noobs when i was young in my head
I don't know, die?
War Thunder!
If you're too old to press buttons then you're probably too old to do anything else.
What will gaming in 2065 even be like?
Hopefully technology will be good enough by then that we have virtual worlds all controlled by brain chips as the real world burns around us.

i'm probably gonna kill myself. i've never had that urge to live no matter what. rather kill myself than live in pain for a long time.
keep playing games
You are sorely mistaken if you think I'm living that long.
