Probably better. Prince was so much better than Jackson as a musician it isn’t even funny. The only reason people compare the two is because they were both flamboyant black men in the 80’s. Musically, they were worlds apart.
Anyone that knows anything about music rates Prince higher than Michael. Prince also launched the careers of several artist. What did Michael do for others besides groom Macaulay Caulkin? Wow he gave a hook to Rockwell one time… cool I guess
about the same, because I imagine Prince would have had the same reaction and told them to pull it all.
wtf was Michael even thinking? had he, like, never touched a Genesis before or something? of course the music was going to come out sounding like that, it's fricking FM synthesis, you boytoucher.
It sounds like a weird reason, because he obviously was familiar with the console and there was already even a game to his name, featuring his music, no less. I'd have to imagine there was some other reason.
was he tho? yeah Moonwalker was out, but I don't know if Jackson actually ever sat down and played it. who knows if he ever sat down and played Genesis period?
all we have is the official line. i'm willing to believe he was just that clueless about technology and types of synthesis.
couldn't comprehend childhood, couldn't comprehend FM synthesis, couldn't comprehend instruments...
as any man ever been so lucky to be in the right place at the right time?

michael didn't write anything, it was his studio producer brad buxer that did all the work, basically copying/pasting from songs already written/in progress. i assume it went like this: > sega offers michael to do music > <michael> *zips up pants of 12yo boy* ok. no problem > <michael> hey brad, you're working on a sega genesis game.
the end.
Depends on what you mean by MJ's compositions. He delegated the work to his music director Brad Buxer, which did end up in the game. According to Brad, Michael only worked on one track with him.
SEGA probably just didn't want to put out another CD game, because of the sales of Sonic CD.
i like the American Sonic CD OST, but i wonder what would have happened if they had offered it to Michael first. full CDDA was probably the sound he was expecting.
jesus that video was painful >let's cripple the system to reduce cost, and lose a bunch of games! not Sonic CD tho!
yes you fricking do lose Sonic CD, it had scaling too. >let's increase production costs by having every cartridge release also have a cheaper CD release as well! with little to no benefit!
brilliant >let's make Sega of Japan and Sega of American get along!
might as well have eternal peace on Earth too. >somehow this will increase third party support, even with Nintendo's tactics being a bulk of the reason why there wasn't in the first place!
wtf am i listening to >TurboGrafx CD and TurboDuo were cheaper!
and it STILL didn't outsell Sega in North America!
what a frickin' clown. I'M more of a Sega Lord than this guy.
Boring
I tried to get into Prince in ‘89 because I was obsessed with the Batman movie, but all his music is just a boring slog. Michael Jackson 4 ever!
Sonic would try to convert you into a Jehovah's Witness
Both were from Jehovvas witnesses families

True. Michael Jackson was way better than Prince.
Anyone that knows anything about music rates Prince higher than Michael. Prince also launched the careers of several artist. What did Michael do for others besides groom Macaulay Caulkin? Wow he gave a hook to Rockwell one time… cool I guess
Jackson is the better performer.
Prince makes the better music
as a composer, michael was leagues above him. instrument skill? the other way round
imagine if the music was designed by rob hubbard
Isn't that what happened with R-TYPE?
about the same, because I imagine Prince would have had the same reaction and told them to pull it all.

Useless thread
Check Ballz 3D music for a possible result.
Was it ever proven that MJ's compositions made it into Sonic 3?

something did. there's plenty of YT vids about it.
He was a prince Michael was a king
They're both awesome. I heard wrong that Sega were doing a new Moonwalker using the SOR4 engine with MJ, Prince, TTD'arby and Madonna 😀
Also with JT and Beyonce with CD quality music YEEEEOOOW!!! 4 players with the big speakers I'll commission it myself if I have to 😀
Should MJ have bought Sega of America like he was planning on buying Marvel comics?
Imagine if Nintendo picked Elvis instead of Koji Kondo.
He should've bought Sony.
Then people would call him Michael Jacksony.
>Michael Jacksony
Elvis was already dead long before the NES.
We got Mario's Time Machine for that.
Worse

You're laughing, Sega Lord X just made a Sega what if cope video and you're laughing.
So anyway would you like to participate in what if threads? I sure do.

>the master system converter 2 comes has an extra spacer so it fits properly on both Megadrive models
huh. Never knew that. Neat.
