Great, I have it choked to 30fps and get about 3 hours battery life.
Funny enough, back when the Deck launched it was totally broken and would crash during the intro sequence. Then again, I've had issues with RDR2 on Windows PC as well so maybe it's a standard experience, lmao
if you have lighting/global illumination both set to medium, ultra textures and everything else set with a mix of low/medium, you can get a relatively solid 40fps
Not more than handheld but about the same amount. My PC sucks so I often stream games from the Deck to my computer. Deck can push 25-30fps Baldur's Gate 3 at 1080p which looks surprisingly decent with Steam's stream compression set to "beautiful"
I'm anticipating that it will not be so good tbqh lol
but i'll give it a try anyway
There was a Steam Deck review where the guy was saying you could hit 40fps pretty comfortably by turning down a couple settings and he was impressed with it overall.
I bought Cult of the Lamb during the sale this week and I am having fun with it. Avoided it since there was all that poop stuff being posted and thought it was a fetish thing it is but only because early game it's treated as a resource you need to manually manage.
I also set up emudeck and I'm scraping the games right now. I know it says 900 games but most of that is from the PS1 games being track split bin/cue files, I barely put in 100 in actuality.
Also, I'm having issues with Open-MW. I can do the flatpak install and add it as a non-Steam game just fine, but it opens up the launcher instead of going straight to Morrowind.
I know how to do it on Windows, you just point the openmw.exe as a launch option for vanilla Morrowind like in pic related, but I have no idea how linux does it and the only file I could find has no extensions.
Playing everything from DMC5 to Star Ocean The Divine Force at max settings 1200x800 is really comfy on the deck.
My 3060ti struggled to run Cyberpunk on psycho settings on my 1440p monitor, but it has zero issues running it at 800p.
Steam Deck has a horrible shitty 55% SRGB screen, with ghosting.
That's the only reason why I sold mine.
Luckily I put some microSD and a custom skin on it and I sold it for more than I bought it on ebay even with tax.
I will never buy another handheld console unless it has the design of the steam deck with the trackpads and same thumbstick layout, AND a good full gamut IPS screen with no ghosting.
>87% SRGB, still shit >1200p so your games run even worse on already old rdna2 apu hardware >Join our waitlist
Holy shit what a fricking scam cashgrab.
Remember the ORIGINAL switch was 100% SRGB. This isn't a defense for the switch though because even the switch OLED is shit and it runs mario odyssey with downscaling and looks like someone rubbed vaseline over the screen.
I'm glad I sold my deck 7 months ago and got more than I paid for it. It allowed me to build an AM5 system with a 7800X3D which I waited for.
I honestly don't think I'll buy the Steam Deck 2 unless it has at minimum 100% SRGB, OLED would be nice.
RDR2 for the first time, 6 hours in and enjoying the wild west life simulator
How does it run on the Deck anyway?

That's a solid experience for a handheld imo

you'll enjoy it less once you reach the feminists escort mission, just a friendly warning since the game doesn't let you kill any of them.
Path of Exile. Anyone use the dock more than handheld?

If I'm emulating I'll use the dock often
bro, your 'ick?
I just left octagonia with the same armor set even. Spoopy coincidence tbh.
It's a nice armor, I use the costume for most of the game usually.
Yakuza 3 and Nier Automata
How does Automata run?
It's a perfect 60 FPS after I dropped a few settings. Almost maxed out, shadows seems to be the biggest performance tanker.
Maxed out you'll hover around 40-55 FPS.
I sold mine. Linux is for turbo autists and trannies.
>I sold mine. Linux is for turbo autists and trannies.
I'm playing Street Fighter 6, Elden Rizz, and probably Armored Core tomorrow
I beat DS3 on it
I wonder how AC will run
I'm anticipating that it will not be so good tbqh lol
but i'll give it a try anyway
The minimum specs aren't that bad. Should he low/30 at least.

nice, installing it now
How does Baldurs Gate 3 run on it?
armored core.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series and Tunic.
Nothing. I RMA'd it and now I'm waiting for the replacement
What was wrong with yours?
I just setup Sunshine/Moonlight for my Deck.

Why didn't you just replace the screen?

Why does Resident Evil run so bad on the deck, is there a way to cap fram rate
which is the best version of Dragon Quest 8? I was thinking of starting the Ds version since it has a bit more stuff.
3DS for extra content, but the graphics on the PS2 version are much better.
It's a hard pick. I'd advise PS2 first and 3DS later.
3ds with the orchestra and decensorship patches. You can find them on the dragon quest general.
Pathfinder wotr. Once I finish the deck is going back in the case for another year. Not sure why i bought this thing when I don't even use it.
Been replaying Dark Souls 1. It's been a lot of years since I've played it and it's still a lot of fun.
I couldnt imagine playing DS on a portable.
Sounds like a recipe for rage.
Nugget Doom. Using zdl for mod order.
