That's the silly thing with how people respond to stuff like that. I'm 30 and I didn't play a single blizzard game until like the 2010s. I grew up on consoles and when I did play PC games it was FPS's and emulators. I frankly am pretty underwhelmed by blizzard in general, don't really care for their styles. I've played a number of ARPGs and diablo does not stand out to me although at the time I totally get it because it's basically the grandfather to the games I prefer. My point is a bunch of morons grew up with Blizzard and act like it's a core part of growing up with vidya but this just wasnt necessarily true. Most kids I knew grew up with consoles and I myself mostly played Japanese games (and I'm American). All this being said, when I don't recognize something from diablo I get called a zoomer kek. Blizzdrones are really weird about the shit they happened to grow up with. Diablo isn't Mario.
