I went to E3 2004 and wanted to go mainly to see fable. I followed monlyeux's lies for years. dreaming of a morrowind like game but so much deeper in every aspect.

Yoshi's Story when I was 7.
I watched a preview of it at a kiosk at Toys R Us. I thought it would be Yoshi's Island 2. Bigger and better.
I would come home from school everyday and ask if Toys R Us had Yoshi's Story yet.
The day I came home off the bus and it was sitting there on the table, waiting for me, I rejoiced.
Then an hour later I had beaten it and wondered what went wrong.
I was never excited for a game after that. My eyes had been opened that games could pretend to be good but, in fact, be bad.
Damn dude, I feel you. I didn't hate Yoshi's Story, but it was a totally different game with a different purpose and I was confused why they would do that when Island was so fricking good.

I have never played a FF game, possibly tried to play one as I was very young as I had random cartridges or games on systems but I dont remember.
Anyway main reason i never played one is because I hate TBC.
I have played only a handful of TBC games and they are normally light hearted ones, paper mario on N64, south park games and earthbound.
So I know now that some games have actual combat rather than TBC.
IS it just 15 and 7 remake with actual real time combat?
Are these games good? worth playing for a non final fantasy fan.

yeah but 15's difficulty is a joke. There is a reason why "Hold O to win" is a legitimate complaint against the combat, not to mention you can use healing items at 0 HP.

one of the quotes in FFXV before you get to gameplay is "a fantasy based on reality" which makes one line that is supposed to be sad into being laughable.

Like, ever ever? It has to be rebirth tbh, with remake i wasn't that much unlike the rest because Square Enix, but they surprised me and now Rebirth just looks even better

MGSV, but I was extremely disappointed. The next game I was hyped for was Armored Core VI, but I kept my expectations in check, and I was not at all disappointed (it’s better than MGSV).

This, dissapointed too. So dissapointed I never 100% it and didn't play it again for like 8 years, only played it again this year.
bonus though I did FOB 0 and 1 in 2015 so while I started again this year I had shit loads of PF points as it was still putting me in the weekly shit since 2015, so I was able to make FOB 2 and 3 nearly straight away.
Still not 100% it as I am having a break from it and cant be fricked to do the extreme missions yet, but I am doing the FOB micro management often and nearly have FOB 4 fully done.
Very disappointed in the game though, clearly unfinished, had some annoying bugs at launch and the story is shit.
Other hyped game was BotW and that game did not disappoint at all, I had such fun playing it and have played it 3 or 4 times since release.

Nothing really, only game with a release date I intend on playing is granblue fantasy relink, but I will probably play dragons dogma 2 as well, though I want to play DD1 before I play DD2.

Dragons Dogma 2 has me hype like I was for Fable 2s release, I have never been excited for or anticipated a game since. DD isnt even that monumental a game, yet I have a great fondness for it.

- An unfinished rush job with terrible feeling gameplay sprinkled with great music and occasionally good character bits
- Fun as frick to play but the story which was the draw of MGS to me was a complete let-down at the end
- A worse playing KH2 that only managed to redeem itself for me when the superbosses DLC dropped

I'm honestly just hyped to get more remixed tracks from FF7 because part 1's OST was god tier, and to see Cosmo Canyon and Golden Saucer in HD, the game itself probably won't be that good.
I was really hyped for the original Fable. I had enjoyed Black and White immensely, and Peter Molyneux made the game sound like it would be amazing. When I got it, it was ok, but not the mountain that Molyneux had promised.
I bet there were people that felt the same way about Black and White, as well.

When the best parts on a multiple day event were the sperglord art stoner they hide on the basement, and the autistic PhD who does the lighting physics were BY FAR the best parts, there is probably an issue.
