what's the worst game Ganker memed you into playing?

what's the worst game Ganker memed you into playing?
for me it's VTMB
>go into place
>talk to npc
>he tells you to find someone
>he tells you exactly where that someone is with no sense of further investigation
>walk to area where that someone is
>maybe go through the worst combat in any game ever made while you're looking for him
>find that guy
>report back to the previous NPC
>repeat for 30 hours hours

i just reached Hollywood and the entire main mission in downtown was
      >GO TALK TO THIS GUY
      >WHAT? THE GUY IS MISSING? GO LOOK AT THIS CORPSE
      >WHAT? EVERYONE IS DEAD? GO RETRIEVE THAT CORPSE
      >WHAT? THE CORPSE IS MISSING? GO TALK TO GROUT
      >WHAT GROUT IS DEAD? GO TO HOLLYWOOD

Of all the Ganker snobbery I have endured to see what the fuss is all about, VtM:B is by far the best recommendation.

I suck at stealth games so Deus Ex was tough for me, Morrowind has some of the worst combat ever, and the movement is slow as frick (no I don't want to wait till I get speed boots, frick off) and System Shock is just poorly laid out and designed even with mouse look on.

Bloodlines is pure kino. Funny, irreverent, moody, atmospheric, plenty of choice, actual interesting 3D characters, replayability, cool story, cool villains, nuance and no real Ayn Rand style "This Man Is The Hero Who Has A Steel Mill Therefore He Has A Jaw Of Steel" style writing. The handsome and intelligent guy can be a creep and the lowlife can have a heart of gold etc.

    Give it another go, anon.

Oh yeah, Morrowind was a fricking meme. Hilariously outdated combat for 2002. If anyone tells you to play Morrowind, go play Wizardry 8 instead. Actual combat, actual RPG, actually interesting to read and listen to dialogue.

I played it and it was okay. The developers never managed to make anything 100% playable, so I never completed it, like every other game by former Black Isle/Interplay.

Started playing this last week thanks to Ganker
Just made it to downtown as a ventrue, so far invested some in melee and some in firearms.
Are most guns THIS inaccurate? It triggers me when I have to shoot 6 bullets just to miss 5 of them because le gun is inaccurate.
Also, are the picklocking and hacking skills necessary? I would really prefer solving puzzles and looking for clues/keys but I'm scared that some doors/computers can only be accessed with lockpicking/hacking (no key/hint)

pick one or the other, really. Since I've beat the game a gorillion times I do lockpicking and just look up the passwords.

Looking up the passwords will kill the immersion/RP and ruin the fun.
If there are plenty of doors with no keys and computers with no password hint nearby, how much will I miss by having no lockpicking/hacking skill?
Or, how fricked will I be if I spend my exp to have a high level in both?

just keep doing the sidequests, you'll manage

you can spend your points on whatever, but you NEED a way to kill shit reliably later in the game. If you want to skimp on combat uses for your EXP you can, but as you're finishing up Downtown make sure you're going into Hollywood with a reliable way to kill things.

You have to spec fully into firearms for them to be effective.
