I had to stop myself because I'm afraid I'll have to restart from scratch when they release Hard Mode like BotW and I don't want to have seen the entire game before then
Nah, main story is a couple dozen hours, everything after that is filling parts of the Pokedex you want to fill out and shiny hunting since outside of LGPE and SV it's the best game to shiny hunt in even if the latest patch nerfed it hard.
It's not like I'm hurting for games, either. I have 3H, FF12, SMT V, a dozen or so digital games, but no matter how hard I try I just don't give a shit about this console at all. I just hope the next one won't be as underpowered.
A console's power is irrelevant. Once you go through enough console generations and realize your favorite games of all time are spread all across them you'll see it.
I'm not sure since i don't have my switch rn, but I think that woud either Xeno 2 o 3, haven played Xeno DE, I played Botw on Wii U and I'm not done with Totk yet. I think splatoon 2 comes close to a second place I miss free online...
Smahs is at over 800 hours due to playing a lot with friends.
For single player games, it's Xenoblade 2 at 470 hours, between two playthroughs of the base game plus two of the DLC.
Xeno 2
Xeno 3 and TotK are close but I didn't enjoy them as much as Xeno 2
To be honest I didn't like many things about TotK despite spending 200 hours on it
I've got BG/1 & 2 on switch but it's so hard to get into when I've been playing the Witcher 3 and ToTK. I don't have issues playing old games, but it is Damn sure hard to do when you have good newer games to play.
I've got BG/1 & 2 on switch but it's so hard to get into when I've been playing the Witcher 3 and ToTK. I don't have issues playing old games, but it is Damn sure hard to do when you have good newer games to play.
like 12 active hours on metroid prime, maybe a little over. i put 6 on shantae pirate's curse but i have to replay that immediately because i fricked up and didn't 100% the cacklebats for the canon ending (i had no idea that's what they did, i thought it was just collectible bullshit tokens. havent played the game in like 5 years and this is my first completion)
Alot of people buy also cause they have no internet and games work off cart on nintendo games with little to no game breaking bugs or shitloads of updates. Nintendos software was top tier when it came to day 1 releases… not so much after the last pokemon though.
>drifting joy cons >sub 30 fps >weak build quality >paid online >rented roms
That's all fine though, right? It's good to be a pay piggy for nintendo-san, even when I can play all of their games on my PC for superior performance and quality. So cool.
>Damn bros this might be my favorite console, im really close to beating 100 games on a single console for the first time
Are you me? I fricking love the switch, I haven’t played as much vidya since I got mine. It’s just great game after great game. It feels like the PS2 era with kino after kino. My PC collects dust.
In no particular order because I have a fair bit of time split between my old roommate's switch and later on my own: >Smash Ultimate >Xenoblade Chronicles DE >Disgaea 5 Complete >Hyrule Warriors DE >Breath of the Wild/TotK >Hollow Knight >Persona 4 Golden >Rune Factory 4
What? I don't know what the frick you're talking about. I'm just saying that I recognized you're the BG3 guy who has been going crazy this whole thread.

Eric please, you’ve been caught samegayging multiple times.
Xenoblade Chronicles is quickly becoming one of my most played games, I love it. Already nabbed the last physical copy of Xenoblade 2 from another country and my copy of Xenoblade 3 is arriving today. I may take a break after beating the first one.
I bought this console a few weeks ago, used. No joycons, no dock. Fully moddable. I've been playing Link's Awakening and Patrick's Parabox the most.
I have a retroflag handheld controller for it and it's fine but god damn is it heavy as shit. Is it worth buying genuine joycons for this? I also considered getting a dock, but most of the games I can find on switch I can also just run on PC, kinda pointless as a home console. But then some ports I tried have ridiculously small text for what's supposed to be a handheld half of the time. I can't imagine how Switch Lite owners handle this. Do they constantly use the zoom feature?
Yeah you gotta zoom on a lite I guess. If you don't necessarily care about all joycon features, which you don't since you apparently only play in handheld, I think getting the HORI pads would be alright. There are many games that are pretty much only playable docked but if you don't care about them then that's not important.
I got both the HORI split pad pro for free and the retroflag handheld
I got the latter because the split pad pro was just plain uncomfortable for me. I kept getting hand cramps with that shit. Maybe it's me being weird but the retroflag controller is just much nicer to hold for extended periods of time despite being smaller. This controller isn't without its faults though. People say it's ugly as shit but I don't particularly give too much a frick about that. Problem is the d-pad is weirdly mushy where sometimes you have to press a bit further to register a movement, which is jarring, the face buttons are not amazing and the usb-c port can only charge the console. And it's obviously not dockable so you gotta take the console in and out and it's kind of annoying. But the analogs are perfect and I can play for hours on these without feeling any sort of discomfort other than it being somewhat heavy.
Don't have my switch on me atm, but probly >Bayo 3 (Been trying to plat every fight on hard lately) >Smash >Pkm Scarlet >Pkm Shld (Just bought the DLC)
BOTW at 225
TOTK 155
Ultimate 125
no way in hell have I only played ultimate for 125 hours. Mario Kart 20 hours. now I know its not accurate I've easily put at least 20 hours into just testing mods for Mario Kart.
Animal crossing
Zelda TikTok. Past 400 hours and I'm not done
Same. I'm about 200 hours into TotK and loving every minute. I don't want it to end but hopefully I get it finished before Starfield releases.
I had to stop myself because I'm afraid I'll have to restart from scratch when they release Hard Mode like BotW and I don't want to have seen the entire game before then
665 hours - Smash Ultimate
610 hours - Splatoon 3
350 hours - Splatoon 2
315 hours - Mario Maker 2
215 hours - Pokemon Legends Arceus
Is the Arceus single player that long?
No. I finished the main story at around 75 hours. The rest was shiny hunting, and I redid the entire dex at one point because balltism.
Nah, main story is a couple dozen hours, everything after that is filling parts of the Pokedex you want to fill out and shiny hunting since outside of LGPE and SV it's the best game to shiny hunt in even if the latest patch nerfed it hard.
How do you see real hour counts? All my longest games just say "over 200 hours."
exophase dot com
I think it's Diablo 3, idk I haven't touched my switch in over a year. I'm a poorgay so I mostly stick to PC.
Poorgays are the most noble type of gamer possible.
1900 hours - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
fricking terraria 🙁 with like 800 hours
As weird as it sounds, pic related.
This, I’ve been playing vidya for almost 3 decades on consoles and computers. Power was never a factor in a game being good or memorable.
I'm not sure since i don't have my switch rn, but I think that woud either Xeno 2 o 3, haven played Xeno DE, I played Botw on Wii U and I'm not done with Totk yet. I think splatoon 2 comes close to a second place I miss free online...

I think I had 75 hours on botw
totk ~200 hours
if cemu hours were to be counted, it would be botw with 400+.
These.
>mechanicus
based
I was surprised by it. Ended up going through it twice. Once on normal and then on the hardest difficulty.
NTA but I could see the appeal, seems like a great one for handheld player what with the text interface and simpler turn based strategy game graphics.
Almost thought that Puzzle Quest is an Artix Entertainment game.
>beamdog gate
Why
i got a spicy one but arent bg1 and 2 rtwp?
I really liked dark alliance but im not a fan of rtwp
New Horizons at 550 hours. I've done pretty much everything I want to do in the game besides finishing off the Nook Miles achievements.
How are Baldur's Gate and Mechanicus on Switch?
Shit, play them on PC, which is where you will also get BG3
You can never find these cool games at game stores.
Mmmm goyslop

I just really love how it plays, the controls/physics feel so good.

Frick no, im playing atm and i will drop it once i have all regular strawberries and all hearts
I have like 680 hours. I'm currently grinding for my last golden strawberry
Animal Crossing New Horizons at 800+ hours

No bg3 🙂
Disgaea 5
Either Borderlands 1 or Xenoblade Chronicles Remastered
That would be Splatoon 3 at 400hrs.
Hi DEENS!
I've got well over 1k hours into MHGU on the switch and I haven't played that in a while now
Xenoblade 2, across all playthroughs I might be close to 600 hours. X is still my most played Xenoblade.
Pls no bully
Bioshock was pretty dull. I'll probably get Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 eventually.

People buy the Switch for the Nintendo games, but what's the point of the Steam Deck?
Why wouldn't you just play on PC?
to play my pc games AND SWITCH GAMES on the go
Wait, so people actually carry this shit outside?
They are fricking gigantic, you need an entire bag to carry them.
yeah, I also have my laptop in a carry bag too. I travel a lot for work and its a great option for when im in hotels, or on the shitter
Alot of people buy also cause they have no internet and games work off cart on nintendo games with little to no game breaking bugs or shitloads of updates. Nintendos software was top tier when it came to day 1 releases… not so much after the last pokemon though.
It's gonna be Smash Ultimate for most people, World of Light alone takes a good handful of hours.
Yeah but only around 40
All time? Its probably WoW or Rocket leauge. I have no desire to know the actual numbers though
Shoutout to the anon who had over 100 hours of playtime on OutRun.
Smash bros but its because other people added hours to it. Otherwise pokemon sword

Haven't touched my switch in a while but apparently my top 2 most played are Dead Cells and Monster Train.
Digimon Cyber Sleuth/Hackers Memory.
Over 500 hours on civilization 6.
I wanted to come back to it but my joycons are fricked up
This game in combination with the joycons ended up causing me hand cramps.
Get a grip case if you plan to get it.
YuGiOh Master Duel

You don’t even play BG3.
Did miyamoto hire you personally? Tell you free mario games for life?
Nintendo just made a good console and tons of games, as a vidya enjoyer it appeals to me. I didn’t care about Nintendo before. Seethe if you want.
>shitch
>games
Darren, you're so bad at this.
Yep, it has tons of games, keep seething about it, Eric.
In no particular order because I have a fair bit of time split between my old roommate's switch and later on my own:

>Xenoblade Chronicles DE

Animal Crossing at something like 1300 hours. Pretty sure second one was Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town.
Animal Crossing - 415 hours
CTR Nitro Fueled - 105 hours
BOTW - 100 hours
Smash - 80 hours
Pretty sure I have 1000+ hours in Digimon Cyber bawds but 99% of that is idling the game to level up digimon with the switch in rest mode
Animal Crossing NH, I have like 360 hours on it, played a lot with girlfriend.
Xenoblade Chronicles is quickly becoming one of my most played games, I love it. Already nabbed the last physical copy of Xenoblade 2 from another country and my copy of Xenoblade 3 is arriving today. I may take a break after beating the first one.
