Tell that to the people who vehemently defend a game, despite having no words to describe it. You call a plate of perceived shit what it is, and all they do is say
        >WELL YOU HAVEN'T TASTED IT
and when you ask what it tasted like, they have no response. On a completely unrelates note; what did you guys think of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth? It totally doesn't look like dogshit and I'm thinking of buying it, along with Remake (again) and emailing Square to see if I can go ahead and pre-purchase five copies of Part Three Deluxe Anniversary Multiversal Infinity No One's Ever Really Gone Edition.

The thing is it all boils down to tribalism. Ganker and the sides they hate, and the sides that hate both of them or agree with them or somewhat resemble them all think like pic related. They will never be sincere about anything, it all has to boil down to winning imaginary wars over surface-level issues or politics. And if you point that out they just offer half-assed retorts that prove the point.

Or its just dead-internet-theory and bots and their makers manufacturing conflict.

no you are thinking of reddit, this entire website roasted undertale while simultaniously playing it and admitting it was great because we all formed our own opinions. then tourists show up who have been poisoned by consensus thinking and brought that attitude here. this is why Ganker continues to exist and why no matter how much astroturfing glowBlack folk cant seem to break this site. It's because A: its a containment site for people whoi don't do consensus thinking, and B: people who don't do consensus thinking cant be shamed into changing their opinion just because someone else doesn't like something.

      That's the cool part.
You can't say anything bad about the game unless you've played it, but making the decision to buy it at full price before it even comes out is perfectly fine. And you still can't criticize it until you're way past the 2h refund window either, because it only gets good 10 hours in!
But if you just know you don't like it then don't buy it. But if you don't buy it you're an anti-semite, so buy it anyway.

Why do so many people look to form an option on a game they haven't played in the first place?

Why is it so ridiculous to just not say anything about something you are entirely ignorant about? I just find it weird there are so many people that feel they absolutely must spew something about every single game no matter if they haven't played it or not.

Just watch a stream. Typically game developers also show introduction gameplay to line out the premise and features.
Most games are not even worth the data stored. Just preserve your storage drives and watch a stream instead.

Same way everyone with a brain does it, look at clips, who is recommending it and that's it. People can play with feces if they want, I have a bigger beef with people that tell everyone to stop having fun for reasons that have nothing to do with the gameplay.

For example BG3. I think it is shit because it pales in comparison to Neverwinter Nights and it is only high up because people have a porn addiction and easily overlook the half assed animations for anything but the sex scenes, the 2000s era FX stock library used for attacks and relying on lesser known D&D enemies to subvert your expectations catering to the modern D&D hipsters that consider wizards and dragons passé

But I won't go to their threads and shit on them for it.
Similarly there are too many groups shitting on games over their social justice bullshit whether it is the preservation homosexualry or people in favor or against SBI.

Meanwhile the indie space is growing with titles that are just fricking fantastic and no one talks about it. Pretty much everyone is slave to impotent anger and take it on games. Why the frick this entertainment branch attracts these many schizos?

Pretty much the entire BR genre is indie.
My position is that AAA game are the worst and they stopped being innovative a long time ago.
From AAA I can only name like 3 good games from the past 4 years and 3 are from the same Publisher.
Games below that category are still fun like Ghost and Goblins or High Fi Rush.

AAA games need to make the return for a budget that is often in the tens of millions so they are less risky and much more safe and boring.

Those who do not address the elephant in the room will eventually be buried in its shit.
Woke developers are trying to train/reduce entire generations of gamers into accepting ideologically grotesque slop of the lowest possible quality, and with the most predator practices. The more that this is allowed to continue unchecked, the more the market swings in that direction, and what you value, if you have any taste at all, will be destroyed.

It is necessary to fight. It has always been necessary, and it will always be necessary. If you feel any sort of passion or love for anything, you must VALUE IT, and the only way to protect what one values is to fight for it tooth and nail.

Sit on the fence, ignore the zombies, ignore the wholesale destruction of every industry at your peril. Inaction, indifference and willful ignorance are not righteous virtues, they are lazy coping mechanisms for slaves.

The general public would fuel things regardless of how people treated it, no matter what effect it was having on the rest of the industry, so people thought that "vote with your wallet" didn't work.

But now we're coming out of the tunnel and the general public is becoming weary, they're starting to vote with their wallets too, and as a result many bad developers have shut down due to not making any money.
The shitty publishers making all the garbage happen are getting scared, they're starting to beat their customers more and as a result they're gradually losing more customers over time. Eventually they too will shut down.

When even a piece of shit like diablo 4, that got awful user reviews EVERYWHERE sells 10 million copies, you kinda wonder how voting with your wallet works.

Poorly in the case of Blizzardgays. Battered housewives to the core.

Because that stance is racist and misogynistic. If you only buy games you like you will almost exclusively buy games made by white and asian men.

if you don't like a game, you should complain to the government to make it illegal for you to play it (having enough self awareness to avoid consooming garbage is a trait only "shills" possess, apparently)

Yes, people should be legally barred from liking things I don't like.

    >dont like gacha
    >dont buy or play gacha
    >SquareEnix keeps making Gacha anyway
    >homosexuals in Japan and China keep buying Gacha, nobody shames them
    >after a 20 years hiatus FFTactics comes back
    >it's gacha, utterly worthless autoplay P2W garbage with no redeeming qualities other than the art
    this is why

We only get like 2 good games a year so if one isn't good, then you have to wait 6 months for maybe a good one to come out.

Because it's coupled with the argument "You can't criticise the game because you haven't played it", so basically you can't criticise it without playing it, and you can't criticise it once you have because you bought it. If you mention you pirated it, they shift focus to how you're evil for stealing money from the poor starving devs.

So it's controversial because it's part of a labyrinth of conditional arguments intended to remove your position entirely without actually engaging with it.

      Sounds completely resonable to me.

    >vote with your wallet! Dont buy it!

    Because it doesnt fricking work.

Like piracy has already shown us, a lost sale is not a negative sale. Almost everyone wants fentanyl off the street but there's still a high demand so it sticks around. As long as there is a minority supporting trash it sticks around and spreads its sickness. Ignoring it fixes nothing. Some things simply need to be destroyed

Yeah, and i'm sure these studio closures and record breaking layoffs are completely unrelated huh, it's not like even normalgays are sick of the progressively shittier slop companies are trying to pass off as games that they are starting to walk off.

the problem is morons bringing that up whenever you bring up a bad thing about the game

rdr2's prologue is boring as frick and the game is slow at times, but does that mean I shouldn't buy it?
