>They get to Akkala where there’s boats with evacuations to go across the sea
>the uncle puts Aryll on the next departing boat and promises he’ll be on the next one
>he runs back to help with the evacuation but as the ship is in the distance Aryll sees explosions happen at the Akkala citadel, she hugs her cucco and cries
>100+ years later, Aryll’s granddaughter Linkle arrives to Hyrule to see the kingdom for herself.
>She grew up on the cucco farm Aryll founded and was always told she was from a family of Heroes (with Link claiming the Master Sword as her case in point)

It would’ve been Kino. But instead we got BotW with some floating islands and caves.
I thought Link was going to be the one time traveling and he was going to visit his family since they DID get a mention in the story.
But I guess their existence only mattered to further Zelda's whiny teen storyline, so oh well.
So why not just rename Linkle? Aryll showing up again would be neat, as would Links uncle.

her lore is that shes an idiot that is too cute and no one wants to tell her she's wrong so they let her wander from battlefield to battlefield
She thinks she is the hero because she has a magic compass. Still gets to save the day some times
She's a dumb country bumpkin that thinks she's the Hero, so she sprints into the aftermath of various battles in her attempt to find Hyrule Castle. Her campaign ends with her getting noticed for her heroics and being taken to meet Zelda and Link.
Her crossbows are also pretty good, so I like her.
