A lot of the reviews for Galleria got to the end of act 1 saw the crazy shit that happens and said "wow what a unique story 7/10" without a second thought and I am forever seething at that. To find all the curios with the exception of like 2 you can just map the floors, it's incredibly easy and the second act is where the meat of that game is. These games deserved to be recognized for their stellar writing.

i think it's good design to give casual players an early closure when those types of players wont play the game in its entirety anyway. if galleria had no fake endings then the reviews would bash it for being "too long" or "stretched thin". i agree though that reviewers generally are bunch of idiots with no integrity which is why they settle with the casual bad end in the first place.

It's also where the game falls apart into procedurally generated repeating levels with the same reskinned enemies. The story suffers massively from being too short and trying to juggle so many new characters without having the time to introduce any of them properly.

I like Eureka and Nachi alot, So I could put up with it. Plus the visit was meant to be aimless she was just supposed to observe for a month then fricked that up royally just like everything else she does.
Metallia* (no c) is good person that lack social skills because she live all by herself, the only bad thing she did is when she turned her mother into mouse and summoned horde of horny mice to frick her but that's it.
All -lia names were originally -lica in Japanese, this was removed in localization due to legal issues with Metallica. Which unfortunately makes Lica's "I want a cooler name! I'm now Metallica!" and Uruka liking the name scene less funny in English

In WatHK at least I saw it as just a close friendship, particularly because even late in the game Metallia says something like "Visco's a chick. I'm not into that." in response to a question effectively asking if Visco was her lover.

W&100K has a very rough gameplay (from what I remember - it's been almost 10 years since I beat the game) and it's not the best aspect of the game. I didn't mind the gcal system but I didn't bother with most of classes (or however they're spelt, vacations?) and either dodge + attack or ranged combat with projectiles and Tochka did the job just fine. The godawful grind for True Ending (aka Bad Ending) just to not deal chip damage to Dark Witches and Chapter 12/13 enemies almost killed my mood to finish the game though.

Spitballing here, Hundred Knight's ending art has her back to blonde, Torude/Mirage are both aged and blonde, and cast projections of themselves instead of physically traveling. It might be the case after being reborn that she's once again swampbound but decided against drinking the elixir this time and interacts with the outside world via projection.

The best emotional pay-off I have ever seen in a game was in galleria when eureka failed at playing the piano all game then at the end she can finally play the song with nachi's help and it transitions to the the credits song that shit was beautiful.
