Sequel is a 2.5D side scrolling action game, but with the same charm and great music as the first game. They complement each other really well.
It had another sequel for the PS2 that was being localized but the studio that was doing so closed down, the almost finished localization was found pretty recently I think, I'll be checking it out myself.

this is the only good game released on the N64 which is my cynical b***hiness but at the same time this is one of the greatest games ever made and its filled with soul. i love the goemon games in general, the snes games are awesome too. im super excited for mameda no bakeru also
