Never ever.
Already in development
Squadron mates with selectable planes when??? I'm tired of seeing them flying giga soulless F-15s or F-22s all the time
Combined attack where the npc shake and you bake when?
Didn't 6 have this?
Yes it had and Shamrock was pretty useful to boot.
Before they do that they need to remember how to make them actually do something. All allies in 7 do is fly around watching you do all the work.
Yeah. And 5 before that.
>Ace Combat Zero
>Mayhem mission
>Pixy actually shot down like 25% of the enemy forces
they don't make it like they used to
>playing aci
>team is two fighters
>i switch to attacker to balance it, except the other guy has the same idea so he does too which means we're still unbalanced
>i switch back to fighter to rebalance it, except, again, the other guy does too
>i assume he's going to switch to attacker so i stay on fighter, but he thinks the same thing so he stays as well
>1 second left on the timer so i switch to attacker, which is also what the other guy does
>mission starts and our team is two attackers
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
lethal skies on the PS2 had it, its just that ace combat is the most basic flight game for tasteless casuals.
f15 is best girl you filthy fricking casual.
Anyone fricking hate the US/NATO planes?
I unlock up to the F-15J (Japan) and I stop, it's all about SOVL Ruskie planes now.
Mig-21 looks hilarious in cutscenes, I love thislittle fricker.
>AC7 Multiplayer
>Cutscene with everyone in their 4th/5th/exp. gen fighters
>Dinky fishbed
>Spend whole round dodging despite higher threats on the field
>This is every match
Noone respects it.
Is multiplayer actually good? I never tried it
Hoping for coop and Conquest mode in AC8.
Public lobbies are a complete mess most of the time.
Pure PVP was a mistake.
It's alright to play a few rounds, but you're going to get:
>The occasional person teleporting everywhere
>Dieing to missiles that passed you ages ago
>QAAM/HCAA spam
>Anyone half-decent with an EML completely shutting down matches if they're a homosexual
>QAAM/HCAA spam
More like 4AAM/6AAM/8AAM killstealers shitting missiles just outside of the furball like Macross planes
contrary to people believe, having Falken/Morgan doesn't guarantee you an MVP
I think most people who play multiplayer are aware that the Falken and Morgan are some of the weakest DLC planes you can use
It's usually the ones at the end of their aircraft tree branches, the F-22, Su-57, and the YF-23
But you can still easily supe up a plane from a lower tier like a Rafale and clean house with them
Hell even the starting Fishbed and F-104 can be real monsters in the right hands
The only planes that have trouble are Attackers like the A-10
Friendly AI used to be better, or at least it was able to work with the weightier flight model of both themselves and their enemies better
There are mods for 7 now that crank up the AI's capabilities and you can actually get cucked out of winning because friendlies steal the score points you need, if that's your jam, though those mods usually come with other additions to balance that out
>SOVL Ruskie planes
they will certainly be garbage to play in the AC8
I used to only fly american planes in 4, 5 and 6. Since then I've gotten bored of the F22, F35 etc, so It's Sukhoi planes all the time for me. I still make room for the F-14, I have a soft spot for that plane.
>he hasn't embraced euro doritos
I'd love to see a WW2 era Strangereal spin-off game. Same action arcade flight model but 20th century prop planes and early jets.
Go play crimson skies homosexual we want a sequel to Ace Combat 7
The not-WW2 spin-off would be completely doable if they could release main titles more often than every 10 years.
project aces did sky crawlers
Ace Combat but guns/rockets/bombs only sounds pretty boring.
Sounds to me like you don't know how to use guns. Learn to aim
Maybe you didn't consider that no missiles means no missiles for the enemy either. Imagine AC but enemies are guns only. Does that sound fun to you?
Seeing as they're trivial to deal with already, I don't see the problem. If you're having problems with missiles you suck at the game.
Okay, enjoy your game where the only danger enemies pose is that they might hit you for 1% damage so you don't get the no damage bonus. That sounds really exciting.
AC's machine guns suck even if you can aim, that isn't even an argument. The only exception is 6, which almost no one has played, and the games that let you equip stat boosts to make it not suck. Project Wingman has faults but one thing they did right was make the MG (all 4 of them) actually fricking useful beyond dick-waving MG Only runs.
PW says otherwise.
also the amount of batshit insane fantasy WW2 technology you can do is not to be underestimated.
I love Shin Combat Choro-Q.
Brainlet opinion
It was actually pretty good.
What game is that?
It's called shit.
sky crawlers adaptation by project aces.
>Ace Combat WW1/2 setting during the war between Belka and Osea
>You play a Belkan
ME 262 Belkan
God i need this
not a wehraboo but damn german planes are sexy
Hopefully fricking nowhere. Frick arcade games. I want a DCS like game without having to spend 500 bucks for a couple of planes.
>I want a DCS like game
Cringe
The real cringe is seeing all those models and environments wasted on a plain moronic concept. Missiles magically refilling, planes pulling 30gs. I'm having a stroke just thinking about it.
Don't project your spending habits on other people. I'm a simgay till the day i drop dead, and the most I've spent on a cash grab is 10 bucks on war thunder between 2014 and 2021. Money whales exists everywhere.
I will but not cause you told me. And I'm objectively right. A sim game is infinitely more fun than an arcade one.
>And I'm objectively right. A sim game is infinitely more fun than an arcade one
A sim is a sim, as in, not a game. "Having fun" with a simulator is like having fun with a spreadsheet.
Sure. Having fun driving a race car is like having fun compiling a spreadsheet. Same as flying a fighter jet. It's just excel with extra steps. Thanks for giving me brain damage.
Anon, AC and AC-likes are basically air combat action games, their only similarity to DCS is that they have planes
If you want a simulator, you've got plenty, just pirate some and fool around in them however you wish, but complaining about action arcade games not being sims is like complaining that the next Doom won't be some variety of MilSim.
You might actually be mentally impaired. Please don't post anymore.
you first
>trying to argue with DCSBlack person logically
>engaging with DCSBlack person, at all
First time in a Ganker ace combat thread?
>flying a fighter jet
>I'm having a stroke just thinking about it.
Sorry to hear about your crippling autism
how about you spend your wallet and sorry life getting a pilot license instead of b***hing about an arcade game on indian weaving forum
this homie really just lurks the catalog until an ace combat thread appears, holy shit kys
sim gays like you are built to be milked by devs, stop shitting up these threads and start dealing with that reality
Ok firstly have a nice day
More fun than dcs
Good news. DCS is free.
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/
need a game that takes place in the '80s and features jets that go back to thhe late 50s
An era with rear aspect only MSL... It would be fun as like a one off flashback mission
that sounds fine though, also there's still radar-guided missiles and lategame aircraft would get all-aspect IR missiles
PSVR2 pretty please. AC7 VR was excellent
Dead series, hopefully.
What should they borrow from Project Wingman?
viggen, talkative GIB, cannons feel nicer to use in PW
Meaningful post-campaign content
you're talking about the alternate arcade gamemode in PW right?
felt like AC7 lacked something in comparison.
Something like that yeah. A simple mission generator would be a godsent.
Hell, just add a second no-frills kill everything campaign. AC5 does that with its alternate arcade mode.
We get it ACgays: you're too stupid to play simulators.
Probably the only one, but I think they could stand to do an extremely story-light, gameplay focused arcade style game: basically Air Combat again, but with all the gameplay improvements of the rest of the series.
Go back to a completely vague, fast paced story where you're fighting "the enemy" over unnamed continents, and what little story context you even get is only in mission briefings. Maybe even make it so you're only armed with missiles again, and design the gameplay around that, and keep the same system of losing a plane completely after you crash it.
and just go really wacky with the missions.
What exactly is the problem with simulator gays? I never see Arcade game gays being this insecure
Keep up that projection
Holy samegay, you c**t.
>Y-Y-Y-You're the one insecure!
He's obviously an ace combat fan baiting to keep the thread alive. Christ you people are dense.
Well I'm an Ace Combat fan, and I'm either playing along with the bait to keep the thread alive, or I *am* dense and I've fallen for it, also keeping the thread alive.
All according to keikaku
>fotm tranime
>fotm zoomie game
You're the perfect example of the target audience for these games.
That *would* approximate an insult if I actually liked either of those things, and weren't, on the contrary, insulting (You)
DCSgay has been shitposting in AC threads for years now and he's repeatedly embarrassed in them at every turn
It's a weird hybrid of Dunning-Kruger and sunk cost, it's an autism singularity
The worrying thing is that you can tell that he's learning, usually he's broken out the webms or wienerpit pictures or the bara furry tiger porn by now
It's amazing that the mere possibility of more than a single individual criticizing the moronfest that is ac escapes you. You're so deep down that rabbit hole that you conglomerate the opinions of any sane physics enjoyer into a single made up identity, the "dcsgay". The acgays cope is real. Never mind the fact that it's been the same game since ac3.
Ace combat without the shitty arcade cabinet gameplay? Sign me up senpai.
their egos are so huge they can't admit there might be multiple people who feel ill towards shit coombait
>I never see Arcade game gays being this insecure
I've actually seen that kind of insecurity from arcadegays. I like simulators, and there have been multiple AC threads where I've received seething sim hatred posting simply because I dared to imply that it's a bit silly that one pilot in a wing of 5 craft does literally everything in every mission.
I mean, wouldn't it be more fun even in an arcade sense if you actually had to compete for most splashes against your friendly AI pilots?
>I dared to imply that it's a bit silly that one pilot in a wing of 5 craft does literally everything in every mission.
Gosh it's almost like it's an arcade game anon
>I mean, wouldn't it be more fun even in an arcade sense if you actually had to compete for most splashes against your friendly AI pilots?
You know what would be even more fun? Adding in the slightest amount of physics a la Aero Elite/Over G fighters so you actually have to worry about the fundementals of flight and get to use real energy based acm tactics.
There's not much fun to be had in competing against bots
Yeah but in my opinion it would be better than babysitting a handful of melodramatic anime caricatures who's job you're doing for them. Either have them actually fight, or be absent entirely.
>and you can actually get cucked out of winning because friendlies steal the score points you need
Well that's not exactly the thing I'm going for, since the idea is to make it so that the player's character isn't the only one completing the mission. Because that's what the score supposedly is. A measurement of the completedness of the mission. It shouldn't matter who contributes how much as long as the total contribution passes the line. The post-mission screen shows the player's kills anyway, so if you want your score, there it is.
That's Pete Hines' tier argument to support the exclusion of internal consistency in Fallout. "We have talking mutants, so you can't criticize something that makes no sense."
Now, don't be like that. It's been civil enough this time.
>what do you mean a single guy can carry a platoon worth of ammo and massacre a whole battalion? this is unrealistic
this is how stupid you sound like
Ghost and Price do just as much killing as (You). In that mission you posted a side character is the one that captures the target, not (You). Find a better example.
>NPC killing as much enemy as player
homie do you even play COD campaign?
motherfrickers can't even kill each other standing 5 feet apart
>a side character finished a mission in a cutscene
is this supposed to be a gotcha? there's a lot of missions in ace combat where NPCs finished the mission
>homie
Don't ever reply to me again
not that anon, but
"homie"
>animal fricker mad being called a homie
lmao Black person
I have personally witnessed friendly NPCs killing multiple enemy combatants in Call of Duty games. I can't say the same for AC7. Pick a better example.
>I can't say the same for AC7
well it's easy if you never play the game
because I have personally witnessed friendly NPCs shot down enemy aircrafts and ground targets in AC7
it's even easier because the game always give you a debriefing on every end of mission
>it's even easier because the game always give you a debriefing on every end of mission
Sure, if you're counting your own kills manually on the side and then you can compare them to the debriefing tally, which only shows total kills and not the kills of specific pilots.
Also, when you say that you've personally witnessed friendlies destroying targets in AC7, I will simply apply my own personal anecdotal evidence of never witnessing any, and thus I do not believe your claim.
Wow, did you really just play the game to show me this? That the AI shot down one target by pure luck? The only target he will ever shoot down? Go back and find me some more targets loser.
here you can see Clown shooting down an enemy target
so not only you are wrong, you're also stupid, homie
I don't watch the debriefing animations since the actual replays exist. Does an X indicate a splash? If so then I concede that friendly kills can happen. I still have yet to experience it myself, and it also doesn't help that all of the dialogue from kills is only played after the player kills something.
Actually, frick it. I'm going to fire up Long Day and just fly around casually, just to see how much score my wingmen get.
Okay, I have confirmed that the friendlies will not attempt to destroy any ground targets in Long Day on Hard difficulty. The mission ended prematurely in failure with 0 score, so no one did anythin, land or air.
You don't get points for allied kills in 7 so you'd end with 0 even if they were useful. Though I don't think they help in that mission anyway. They only try sometimes.
>I dared to imply that it's a bit silly that one pilot in a wing of 5 craft does literally everything in every mission.
you're talking about a franchise where not-Germany builds a stadium sized aircraft on every summer olympics
The AI in starfox 64 shoot down planes and help you out. No one is supposed to ask why a modern arcade game over 20 years later can't do that too?
They did in AC6 from what I remember.
The AI in Ace Combat games shoot down planes and attack targets.
Please play the games you're talking about.
No. They don't. This is some serious cope.
>n-no
Lol, imagine being this much of a dense fan boy you can't even admit basic flaws if your game. Are you still a teenager or something? I would hope so, since that's the target audience of the series.
Oh, I'll admit Ace Combat is a terrible series of flight simulator games, sure!
If only every Ace Combat homosexual could be as open as you. Now on to the horrible music...
Terrible flight simulator games, absolutely!
Fantastic arcade games. Something which is especially worthwhile as arcade style games become more and more rare.
In the comments for that track: "The attitude in this music is so positive and uncomplicated." and that's really the core of Ace Combat.
Now please, do embarrass yourself trying to pick at Ace Combat's soundtrack, which are pretty much universally agreed to be incredible and one of the best things about the series.
The only AC game you played, if any at all, is 7 and it shows.
So....you're admitting the latest AC game has non working friendly AI then? Which is the issue multiple people in the thread have brought up they don't like about it?
>you're admitting the latest AC game has non working friendly AI then?
Yes. AC7 has tons of issues, AI being useless is one of them.
>Which is the issue multiple people in the thread have brought up they don't like about it?
You are being a disingenuous little c**t right now. No one who brought that up was talking about 7 specifically.
>You are being a disingenuous little c**t right now.
That would be you. It's fairly obvious that the latest/newsest AC game is the one that people would be talking about, unless they specifically state otherwise. Indeed you are being purposely obtuse.
But I expect nothing less from an ac troony fanboy
Impressive mental gymnastics, but your arbitrary Ace Combat threads discussion rules aren't real. People talk about the older titles just as much, if not more.
how about you put your command on Attack when playing the game
Look at all of those seething replies, look at how secure they are lmao
DCSgay please go, you already got blown the frick out once.
What's really unrealistic is DCS threads on Ganker
my wife
This was the only plane I unlocked in ACZ and I never needed anything else.
If a game featuring planes isn't a simulator then it's made for children and morons.
>Where the frick is Ace Combat 8?
Anon, development started last year
It won't come out until at least late 2023
They're delaying the game until late 2024 to siphon out more raw and undiluted Kobayashi soul.
>seething shit combat gays
What are the all around best dogfighters in AC7?
Give me one from each branch, USA, Russians, the Euros.
I hope it'll be something similar to AC3 now that the timeline is closer and how we got AIs and drones into the story more.
fighter jets are mostly dead in 2022 warfare modern armies are increasingly using drones these days.
rip fighter jets
Modern fighters are literally untouchable by modern drones so far, the only thing that can touch modern fighters are modern AA and those can be defeated with anti-radiation missiles
Okay, Gründer shill.
That's because almost all modern wars are superpower countries bullying smaller countries with no capable air force, while throwing sanctions left and right for other countries.
How do Ace Combat feel that if any other arcade flight series were still alive to this day they would leave Ace Combat in the dust? It's always the worst series that somehow lives on.
Fine, considering Ace Combat is still around.
If the Airforce Delta series had a better flight model I think it would be remembered better. AFD Strike had an absolute shitton of content and an even more bonkers story than the AC games.
In an alternate reality Crimson Skies is still alive and Ace Combat is dead, as it should be.
he really does not like ace combat does he?
Yea
is wrong. This gay has got a real problem.
I'm sorry to tell you but there is at least one other person here who hates these games, probably three at max.
every single day I thank jesus christ that I'm not german or a furry.
does any other games on Ganker have a dedicated autist like DCSgay?
yea, there are a few
Apparently there's a guy called Barry who haunts that Final Fantasy MMO, or something
And the less said about Pokemon autism the better
Every game series discussed here has its own dedicated schizos now
>Half-Life with Alf
>Final Fantasy with Barry
>Ace Combat with DCSgay
>Souls games with pretty much everyone in it
Just about every game on this dogshit board has a dedicated shitposter.
Halo and it's "My first FPS" schiz
Fallout has the Indian FO3 spammer and the one guy obsessed over New Vegas and trannies.
Jesus, Ganker is so fricking dead that it's shitting on Ace Combat.
>people shit on bad games wtf is happening
Remind to post this everytime DCSgay shows up
holy shit what the frick
Why does every sound like they're 16 years old
they're trying to emulate that soulful staple AC jank, that's why.
You can rightly say Ace Combat's dialogue is usually pretty hammy, but they have the excuse of being Japanese games, and things get lost in translation in communication between directors and VAs.
This comes off like it's a western team, deliberately emulating the style of "western VAs being directed by a Japanese team", and apparently not as parody, but in an unironic attempt to copy Ace Combat's cheese and appeal to Ace Combat fans to boost DCS sales.
>but they have the excuse of being Japanese games, and things get lost in translation in communication between directors and VAs.
I've never liked this kind of Metal Gear?! Engrish. Are there really people who unironically enjoy it when supposedly English-speaking characters are using a blatantly lazily translated Japanese language, with all the strange mannerisms and obviously too long words smashed in between sentences making them sound like nothing a person would really say?
>INVERTED is a newly founded studio that makes story campaigns for DCS WORLD.
>By inverting hardcore, we wish to make the virtual fighter jet experience more accessible and "fun" while remaining true to the hardcore nature of a combat flight sim.
>We want new players from other combat fighter genres to join the stage, taking their fighter pilot dream to the next level, experiencing the realistic flying characteristics of the jets while having a cinematic blast as they did in casual titles.
>As an FAA private pilot myself, I enjoyed every minute in the sky as I did flying in DCS WORLD. However, there is the part of me that wishes for a "realistic", yet exciting and heroic experience in my favorite flight sim, DCS WORLD. This experience, is Rising Squall.
>Rising Squall is a story campaign based on the F/A-18C Hornet module. The story is based on the INVERTED World. It is an alternate universe that very much resembles our world, with civilizations, countries, and political interests being different. We have built the story and characters from scratch with great emphasis on both the big picture of national conflicts and small parts of personal discords.
>To spice things up, we are fortunate enough to have Keiki Kobayashi, the main composer of ACE COMBAT series, as the composer of our original soundtrack, which contains 10 original pieces exclusive for Rising Squall. We think these pieces make the gameplay much more heart-pumping and exciting, bringing a fresh experience to DCS WORLD.
This is too much. This level of autism is starting to make me wonder if DCS gay is on the dev team
Based "DCSgay" if true.
Look I just feel sorry for you man.
There's better, more obvious ways to get your game to have broader appeal, if that's what you're after, than trying to siphon off Ace Combat fans into your game by shitting up Ace Combat threads.
There's also no need for some artificial tension between Ace Combat and DCS. I respect DCS as a sim game.
Take your medication
>winter 2020
So did it ever come out?
>2020
Yes, it costs $19.99
But you need the F/A-18 Hornet ($79.99), Persian Gulf map ($49.99) and its recommended you have Supercarrier ($49.99)
Holy fricking shit I thought you were joking about those prices.
>ace combat players migrated to DCS and made a campaign in it and gave up playing ace combat
How is this supposed to be a knock against DCS? I didn’t get it
“5th generation fighter”
cmon give her a chance, she the youngest one to take it to the skies.
I’m only referring to the name the Su-57 got in the movie, which is pretty funny imo. But at the same time, it happened too in AC7
that's not the SU-57, that's the KF-21 boramae
My bad, the nose and the flatness gave it an Su-57’s front profile for me tho
>f22 end splitting the round engine nozzles
horrible design choice, it looks weird
how would it compare to an F35?
You'll hate me for saying it but these wouldn't feel like Ace Combat threads without DCSgay's seething. The affirmation that he's constantly on the prowl for AC threads to shitpost in keeps my mind at ease.
Nah, seeing this Rising Squall trailer for the first time puts everything into perspective. I too am growing to appreciate DCS-kun's autism
oh my god DCS gay is totally on the dev team
le pinned comment
>Hi Everyone,
>Thank you guys so much for your words and support, we deeply appreciate them!
>We have been watching your comments and voices on different platforms. Although we wanted to leave many things until we publish the gameplay trailer in about 2 weeks.
>We will address "a few" elephants in the room here so we can all have less confusion/rumor.
>Now, shall we start?
>1. INVERTED is NO way in any form affiliated with Project Ace. The only thing common being that we approached Mr. Kobayashi, introduced our project and asked him if wanted to take it. Very fortunate for us, he did, and the result is EPIC. You will be able to hear a few more pieces in trailers to follow.
>2. RISING SQUALL is NOT Ace Combat, sorry to disappoint those who may have wanted a campaign of infinite missiles and invincible planes, this is not it. For us, that is not DCS either.
>Realistic FM and avionics are mandatory. We had other ways to make it much easier for new players, don't worry, but turning DCS a casual shooter is not what we are here for, stay tuned for that. Rising Squall's story is original and written in-house. We think to say that it is a "copy-cat" of ACE COMBAT's story is quite unfair for our main writer as he had no previous AC experience. Of course, some may argue that the names sounded familiar.
FRICKING EXUSIA LMAO
>A few factors contributed to this, there are names such as 'Golem' in there as an easter egg for AC players, but "it", like easter eggs in other games, won't play a big role in the story or campaign.
There's even more, and it's the same style of tsundere autism as DCS gay. He's 100% a DCS shill
So can we all agree AC3 had the best villain(s) other than le wacky captain Torres?
I want to fug Mihaly's daughters.
He sort of wins by default, most AC antagonists either aren't really villains (Yellow 13 and Pixy are just you, but wrong) or just suck (Hamilton, The Generals, Navarro).
Of course Dr. Schroeder posts on Ganker.
>or just suck
did you know i was sold into slavery as a child soldier?
that's not relevant to anything i just felt like letting you know that while we're dogfighting
Diplomat would've prevented this
Allied score doesn't contribute to your score
The two missions where it's most obvious are the ones where the friendly AI is scripted to at least attempt a kill on an enemy target
In Fleet Destruction, Wiseman knocks out a structural support if you don't after a certain amount of time, which normally would net you a decent amount of points but doesn't if he gets it
In Unexpected Visitor, Count will eventually do enough damage to an enemy ECM and say a few lines about it to clue you in that it's indeed possible (something that I assume exists for the -CASUAL- EASY crowd), but you don't get any points
Friendly AI will shoot at air and (rarely) ground targets but their damage levels are so gimped it may as well not happen at all, but as mentioned earlier there are mods that prove they do damage, and some of those mods adjust said damage to make them actually contribute to fights
>Friendly AI will shoot at air and (rarely) ground targets but their damage levels are so gimped it may as well not happen at all
Yeah I just did Charge The Enemy, and two dozen times friendlies were shooting the the ground targets. The same target in the middle was hit about 6 times without it being destroyed. None of the five helicopters were shot at. So, the friendly AI does shoot at the mission objective targets, but they don't contribute to the gameplay since they can't destroy anything.
I am not DCSBlack person but he does have a point that, at least in 7, the AI is extremely neutered compared to Zero, 6 and PW (which is the game that did it best imo)
Maybe it's by design to evoke feelings of 4's PILOT JESUS DO EVERYTHING but still
Arguing that it isn't because one of your eight wingmen get a kill over the course of a thirty minute long mission is disingenuous as frick
That being said frick dcsBlack person
sensible post ignored because veddit would rather shitfling
the real problem here is that everyone agrees with it so nothing needs to be said.
>That being said frick dcsBlack person
You could have started with that
I'm about to cry laughing
Without irony, I wish DCS-kun the best. I hope you can eventually see the appeal of the Ace Combat series, and I wish your game great success: both Rising Squall and DCS proper.
I think right off the bat, some critiques: having Keiki Kobayashi do your soundtrack IS very cool, the song in the trailer is neat. However, if I were in charge of the project I'd probably completely re-record the dialogue and try to westernize it. Some Ace Combat easter eggs are fine, but I'd rename Exusia. The reason: Ace Combat games are partly attempting to emulate the style of western movies like Top Gun and even movies that aren't related to fighter planes: there's a bit of Full Metal Jacket in Ace 7, there's arguably a bit of James Bond in the series' superweapons, Ace 3 seems to take influence from Ghost in the Shell, and I'm sure bigger movie and Ace Combat fans than I am could come up with more examples.
Also, I think Ace Combat is aiming to appeal to a global audience. It *is* trying to appeal to as many people as it can. Rising Squall will not do well if it's attempting to appeal only to Ace Combat fans, you should, like Ace Combat, be aiming to appeal to a general audience: of course without compromising your teams goals and your vision.
Personally, as someone who doesn't have the time to devote to learning to play a realistic flight sim, I could very much enjoy a realistic flight sim game with the premise of being a flight school for ace pilots, like in the original Top Gun. The game could be set at an airbase, with the player being taught the ropes and learning the intricacies of the flight sim, with fun and cheesy antics at the base.
I could go on, but basically, good luck DCS-kun.
"Stick with Trigger and you'll make it" is something I'll say not to be cute, but genuinely I think if you keep paying attention to Ace Combat, you'll figure out why people like it. Really, genuinely, I wish you the best
>getting your jimmies so rustled by facts you start typing all that
tldr
there are more than one person ITT shitting on gayce gaybait
Please actually read it, DCS-kun
Acgays seethe is unreal, all it takes is a couple of dudes saying "ac gameplay sucks" and they will come in droves with their dcsgay conspiracy theory.
they'll type you up a story to sooth their baby brains too
They went back into the whiteboard and tried to implement g-force mechanics.
Ain't there maverick dlc for 7?
Yeah
>heh i'll post a youtube link that'll show him
I seriously have tears in my eyes
Funniest shit I've seen in months
Go see a doctor weirdo
I might genuinely be having a heart attack

meds, now.
>Pixy but he is SEETHING at your very existence
What a guy
>entire character arc is him trying to cope that he isn't the MC
amazing gaem
Is DCSgay the Crimson One of Ace Combat threads?
No, he's too cute
No he's not, he's German and into barashit.
>german
Well that at least explains the weaponized aitism
What's wrong with them
I just mean the fact that he's apparently on the DCS dev team and is so tsundere for Ace Combat. Idk about his personal life
He has nothing to do with the DCS team and he genuinely hates Ace Combat, he's just an autistic loser.
No, the autism is too similar.
Read the description and the pinned comment. I'm 80% sure DCS gay is like their social media manager or something.
Anyway, whether or not it's true, it's funnier to believe and meme that it's true
Are you sure you're not the shill? You've been forcing this discussion with this DCS fan expansion for a while now.
At this point, frick it, I am. I don't even play DCS, and probably never will, but this is cheese kino
I can't believe all this for some kind of salty runback on Ace Combat
>I don't even play DCS
You should. It's free
and better than ace combat
Nah.
No thanks. I don't have a flight stick, a good gaming PC, or the money to spend on DCS, and I'm currently playing Electrosphere. If I can fix my PS2 I'm hoping to replay Ace 4 too.
>and I'm currently playing Electrosphere
thats the one with tranime absolutely disgusting
>simautist is also a moronic tourist
Huh
Its worth getting Flaming Cliffs 3 on sale if you get a decent PC. It was $15 and you get a bunch of decent planes. The free plane (Su-25 Frogfoot) has some pretty fun weapons systems to play around with, but its not very agile
Weird looking F-14
what are you talking about comrade?
this is a totally normal F-14 tomКoт
i love eating burgers and freedom!
I really hope we get a second game and another wso waifu
Prez is overrated.
No. We need more cute girls in our combat flight action video games.
I disagree and Prez doesn't even have a visual appearance other than a helmet anyway.
I liked the part where he cried like a little b***h
HAHAHHAHA
the only good thing about him was that he was taken aback by diplomat basically calling him a gay in that one mission.
>DCSchad in the namebox
There was a brief period where he would post comics using screenshots from some Jake Gyllenhaal film of "himself" beating up some guy who played Ace Combat
The guy is in his own world, engaging with him at this point is worthless
Crimson One at least had the backing of his peers up until he nuked Presidia, DCSgay has been kicked out of every general and board that had him around
for me, it's the AWACS
nobody asked honestly
you did. i heard it from beyond visible range.
How are the AWACS always consistently great?
war thunder
it has the tomcat
play it now
>I'm about to cry laughing
>Exusia
is this a fricking joke
It's real
Really puts DCS-kun's autism in perspective
Rising Squall will only be bought by plane autists as it requires a $80 plane and a $50 terrain to play. They know their audience. 99% of DCS gays I've met love Ace Combat
the thing that DCS-kun is missing about Ace Combat is that Project Aces seems to have some people with an understanding of some alchemical ideas.
There's a spiritual component to the Ace Combat series.
I'm actually impressed by this attempt to copy the style
but there is a burning core that electrifies the Ace games
Do you ever just shut up the frick up take your medication
>OIP.mM--5gDfK0if-ifUBh_QaAHaLB.jpg
Should I be using 1.7 nightly to emulate the AC games? I finished 4 last night, but I'd like to be able to play the games not in software mode without emulator glitches out the ass. I mean, if I have to use software then I don't really care, but software looks noticeably worse on AC5 compared to 4.
this moment right here
pure unfiltered ludo
Shut up moron
shut up moron
That's actually how it's meant to look Mr. Detective, that plane and the UI font are just really wide
>leading Mobius team with Su-37
put it this way.
russia and china wins ww3 and you're a pilot protecting your country's last hope, suddenly a large squadron consisting of SU-57's close in being lead by an f-22. ultimate mind frick.
literally in development the last 2 years
Ace Combat fans, I would highly recommend you play Air Combat/Ace Combat 1 if you haven’t. It’s a great little energetic game.
>i recommend you to play the first game in the series you like
look at this moron
Nobody has played or talks about Air Combat.
I just played it a few days ago! Fantastic little game.
It’s a short easy game, good to just pick up and play. Left me feeling refreshed.
Came from a more optimistic, simpler time
Well, a lot of people in these threads do act like 4 is the first game in the series.
That's not true, everyone sucks off AC3.
However, a lot of people in these threads do act like AC2 is the first game in the series.
I'm gonna keep ignoring Air Combat because I don't want to play it. Earliest I'll go is Ace Combat 2.
The PS2 games are still what people think about, though. You ask about remasters of the old games and people will start talking about the PS2 ones without even thinking about the first three. Same for emulation.
AC2 and AC3 at least get acknowledged.
pretty sure it's just a su-27 beneath
>shit gay ass frick combat 1
being in this thread has been causing me pain, but I hope you guys are having a good night. Even the trolls.
If we’re at least united in our love of cool airplanes, that’s something I’ll value while things are difficult.
god you talk like such a homosexual i bet youre the one who typed up that wall of text too
I want to see Ace Combat game set 100 years ago
With co-op biplane dogfighting with turrets.
Reminder that DCS and AC are just two faces of the same coin and that this gay drama is being forced by the online equivalent of middle aged housewives and should be treated as such.
Now post planes.
It's being forced by the DCS gay. Ace Combat fans wouldn't care about DCS otherwise, and there are nice Ace Combat threads when he doesn't show up.
I'm bored of F-22s. The next game had better have a different cover plane. And by that I mean a MiG-35 because I like Fulcrums because I'm an idiot with brain damage that makes me like trash planes or something.
Seriously though don't make it an F-22 please. There are already like seven games with them as the cover plane. Enough already.
>read your post
>wonder why there isn't a 6th generation they could use
>remember why
warfare will never be kino again, will it.
as a coldwargay dogfighting and insane warfare really peaked with WW2.
aerial warfare really has just become too fast and complex for our our senses to comprehend.
Does Ukraine use MiG-35? Because that's the only way you're getting a Russian plane on a cover in the current climate
Fricking nobody uses it. The Russian air force ordered a tiny amount because I guess they felt obligated to buy at least some, but nobody else wants it. Which is reasonable because Fulcrums are shit.
