Homecoming was not the fifth main game in the series. It was just the first part of the western "soft reboot" that Konami wanted. Also, it came out in 2008, not 2006.

Kojima, Junji Ito, and Guillermo del Toro were going to make it.
BUT FRICKING KONAMI, FRICKING KONAMI. IT WOULD LITERALLY HAVE BEEN THE SCARIEST FRICKING GAME EVER BUT NOOO KONAMI HAD TO CANCEL IT WE WILL NEVER SEE WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN AND WHAT WE WOULD HAVE GOT WOULD HAVE SENT PEOPLE TO FRICKING THERAPY
Kojima stopped being a talented or visionary artist after the 2000s ended. At least to me. Somewhere in the early 2010's he just started to become really up his own ass, arrogant, started to become a complete westaeboo, and started proving that most of his games were a creation of a full team of creative and talented people that he is no one without. He has talent that's for sure but he's nothing without people who can control him and his ideas. After Phantom Pain and Death Stranding, I'm REALLY glad that Silent Hills got canceled and that he got fired from Konami.
I want a proper Silent Hill 5 by Team Silent and not some another shitty reboot.
Silent Hill 4 is terrible, don't waste your time on it.
Silent Hill 4 is a perfectly good game even if it ended up being rushed as frick in every single aspect because of having only 1 year of dev time and having only half the team members because Team Silent got split at the time to work on SH3&SH4 simultaneously because Konami wanted to turn the series into a yearly franchise.
The game is very different and experimental because TS wanted to find new directions for the series and it ended up being pretty rough in a lot of aspects but it's still a decent game filled with a ton of cool mechanics, unique ideas, good characters, FANTASTIC soundtrack, insane attention to details, and a really good story.
I highly recommend Nitro Rad's review of the game. He sums up everything about it perfectly and proves that the game is massively over-hated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzP6AVjti7A
Why not let it rest? If some literally who eastern europe devs get hired to make a horror game why would you care if it’s called „Silent Hill” or not? Fricking answer me why would you want this shit again I can’t even
Most of the Team Silent members are in their 40s and 50s now. I just want them to return and make new games in the series before they retire and I don't want any new games by some random western devs. It's either now or never at this point.
Yes, I know that I'm incredibly naive by thinking that even if Konami brought them back along with re-opening the KECET division that they would give them the full amount of freedom to make the games the way they actually want without any corporate limits but I still want to have hope. The fact that apparently one of that new leaked games is being made by a Japanese developer along with Akira and Ito being on the project already gives me some hope.
I can respect that but you really should let it go because you already know that’s not what would happen. I’m happy about the project you mention it’s for the best. It doesn’t need to be under Konami and it doesn’t need to be called Silent Hill. The name isn’t even necessary to guarantee attention and sales, just look how well callisto protocol is doing with all the hype surrounding it.
here
I don't like the fact that she looks like my ex girlfriend.
Who fricking told her it was a good idea to divorce her husband, exactly? And she's wearing a fricking choker as well, of course, the fricking bawd.
came out in 2006.
>Pepole in the late 2000s/early2010s used to ship them
Why
I really don't remember that. Maybe it's for the better.
James was already married. Henry has Eileen. Alex seems like an eligible bachelor.
Say something nice about Heather's canonical boyfriend
im cute

This. Team Silent is dead. Konami handed off the ip and we got this.
I really enjoyed Homecoming and the bosses and atmosphere are really great.
Scarlet obviously best boss.
Downpour was better.
Homecoming VS Downpour

Is 4 worth playing? I've played the first 3 and liked them all.

Of course it's worth playing, why ask? Especially when it filtered so many people.
