Go ahead. Show me how you can run your godot game in the editor, then pause it, and look around with all of the objects and scripts updating in real time to reflect the current state of the game.
I think he's complaining about how you can't see the game running from within the engine, i.e. not in a separate window. which in my opinion is a very silly complaint, since there's really not much difference
>You can't even look around the game in the editor like you can in Unity
why would you need to do that if you can run the project and play the game instantly
Slay the spire 2 is being made in Godot. Given how StS is arguably the best indie game ever made and contender for one of the greatest ever made in general, Godot bros will soon be eating good
It's easily in my top 20 games of all time if not higher. Infinitely replayable and superbly well balanced with a sky high skill ceiling, it truly is that good. I've been playing games for over 30 years so I know what I'm talking about
>4.0
These people really need to label their engine as an alpha or beta. The early 4.0 versions of game maker from over two decades ago were more feature complete then this shit show.
What exactly are you referring to here? I've met with people who have published 3D games using Blender without any problems. Is this something that happened recently?
a decent looking 3D game
pixelart 2D games are a plague in the Godot circles
probably because most devs are hipster trannies
we need some bloody violent boomer shooters made with it
It literally can't make a game >can't port to Switch >can't port to PlayStation >can't port to Xbox >can barely... BARELY port to Mac >game functions differently on Windows depending on your hardware, nothing you can do about it >not even an exaggeration; there are over 10,000 open bug reports as I write this post
I'm begging you morons to stop giving them money and attention, they refuse to make this a serious engine because it would betray their gay license to make it a serious engine
>>I don't know how open source projects work
Well anon, allow me to explain it to you;
An open source project in theory means anyone can contribute to a project and make bug reports and feature suggestions. In practice it means that the 3 developers Godot has assigned are responsible for everything. There are also moderators that make sure bug reports and feature requests are not duplicates, and also they shut down any idea that the one main developer disagrees with because he's moronic. If you've been on their GitHub page for even as little as 10 minutes then you will have undoubtedly seen examples of where the main dev is making decisions that is unanimously agreed to be a stupid decision by the overall userbase.
Everyone just quietly went back to Unity. Godot just isn't ready or good. You can't even look around the game in the editor like you can in Unity.
???
what are you talking about? this is provably false
Go ahead. Show me how you can run your godot game in the editor, then pause it, and look around with all of the objects and scripts updating in real time to reflect the current state of the game.
You can literally do this. Your scenes and node trees update in real time while the game is running. Are you moronic?

the physics engine is completely fricked
Games take many years to make.

i hate normalgays so much its unreal
get out of my hobby
Oh anon, I have forgotten more about games than you will ever know
I still can't code.
>4.0

what's Godot missing, in your estimation?
Then this shit show what? Did candlejack get you?
I still don't know why I should make my 3D game in this.
Godot won't/can't change the legal side of things to try and israelite users out of infinite money the way Unity tried to.

Slay the Spire 2? That's objectively a decently big profile indie game
STS2 will change the perception of Godot. The only thing it's really missing is a huge hit game.
games? you mean youtube tutorials, right?
those engines aren't meant for game development, they're meant for midlife crisis vanity projects that go nowhere
We're waiting for Godot to release a game
Games take time to make. Give it a year or two and there will be a sudden influx of Godot games.

Sonic Colors
>Ganker doesn't even know their favorite game was made in Godot
lol
I'm making a game in GameMaker
