I've actually always had an insane hot take that CDPR (well, 2015 CDPR) would have been the best suited developers to make a Berserk game.
At face value, you hear about the epic fights from the manga which draw you to it. But after you read it, the solid writing, character development (characters in general) and mini plot lines are what keep you hooked. Contrast that to the popular choice which is Fromsoft for some reason which would have better combat/gameplay sure, but everything else would be abhorrent. CDPR(2015) would also make the hottest vidya Casca ever, no cap fr fr
The current best Berserk game is the PS2 one because it makes you feel like Guts with the momentum. CDPR would have terrible weightless combat and it would ruin the whole thing. At that point just read the manga again if all you want is the story. I want to experience it. I think From or Capcom would be our best bets. Dragon's Dogma warrior but sped out would feel cool.

Guts moved like he was swinging a massive weapon. And in the manga they often react like paper when he hits them. Weighty doesn't need to mean fromstyle heavy. It just means I need to believe the physics going on, even in a fantastical way.
2015CDPR could make a Guts-moveset if they really wanted
they already have 2-hand sword animations, replace the Bombs with Gut's arm cannon
Witcher 3 also has dynamic animation for sword fightings which is perfect if you want momentum (literally just adjusting animation speed curve) and chaining sword slashes
play witcher 3 with Normal Movement Repsonse if you want weight
