I prefer space settings to medieval settings and the base game of Warcraft 3 is infinitely better than Starcraft. If you're talking about e-sports consider purchasing a rope or actually playing the games.
Starcraft would be a perfect game if not for wonky pathfinding on some units.
Having to farm exp with heroes and gathering items was always cringe as frick to me in WC3.
It just feels unnatural to me, two factions meet on a map and they start running around beating up locals instead of engaging each other. Also I don't like the randomness associated with the items, feels like added complexity for the sake of complexity (as a tradeoff for smaller unit counts) and it's basically that feature's fault that asshomosexuals exists.
Starcraft is better for hyper competitive audience and Warcraft is just a slower variant, I would argue that Warcraft obviously had a much better custom game scene and it spawned multiple games just because of it. WC3 has a lot more soul and frankly it was a better experience, SC is more of a asiaticclicker.
Starcraft >don't have moronic balance aka unit having 425hp while dealing 10dmg >no heroes, except certain mission >nor rpg cringe >You aren't penalised for having big army >no cartoony shitty graphics >No medieval fantasy cringe
First off, comparing SC1 to WC3 is not a fair comparison. WC2 and SC1 would be more comparable, and the obvious answer is SC1.
Even if you compared WC3 to SC2, (launch)SC2 would win because of the map editor alone, but expansion SC2 is inferior to expansion WC3 mainly because they crippled the map editor.
Secondly, SC Soundtrack > WC Soundtrack
>WC2 and SC1 would be more comparable, and the obvious answer is SC1.
This is true, but I think WC2 has pretty underrated campaign missions. Several of the later missions in the base campaign, especially on the Human side, serve as milestones for "good RTS mission design," and the missions in BtDP are all really fun and clever despite the soul-crushing difficulty.
They're both classics but I prefer the story and setting of starcraft, especially broodwar. Wc3 basically had elements copy and pasted from sc so it's good too with night elves just being dark templar, but I find the drama in sc more compelling.
I've played a lot of both not at a high level but many hours online. Warcraft III is ALMOST as fun as Broodwar. Broodwar's larger population/army cap is where this game shines. Aesthetically, I would give a small edge to Starcraft but would love to see some kind of Starcraft stats-like game with more Warcraft-like aesthetics.
Warcraft 3. It doesn't play like ass
shows what you know reforge homosexual.
Warcraft 3 and it's not close.
What the frick is this?
Warcraft 3 by far, there are decades between them
only 4 years
Warcraft 3
i see that starcraft cover and i get nostalgia so bad bros
What the frick is this?

Warcraft 3 obviously
Base game: starcraft
Custom game potential: obviously warcraft 3
Wrong

i miss wc3 customs so much bros
They are equally good games. I like playing W3 better personally because micro>macro.
Brood War is still alive. Warcraft stopped being relevant a long time ago.
I prefer SC but W3 is the best vidya of the two no doubt. Unlike many I preferred W before 3.
Starcraft would be a perfect game if not for wonky pathfinding on some units.

When it comes to campaign I do prefer WC3 though.
>always cringe as frick
>cringe
you not enjoying it doesn't make it cringe. you dunno what that word means

Then go harass your opponent's creeping, you moron. A good player will punish you hard for trying to play pve and "not engaging".
Nah, I'd rather not play RTS with shallow, forced RPG mechanics strapped on, you braindead shiteater.
Dawn of War III
Warcraft 3 for custom maps and campaign, Stacraft for competitive multiplayer
Starcraft is better for hyper competitive audience and Warcraft is just a slower variant, I would argue that Warcraft obviously had a much better custom game scene and it spawned multiple games just because of it. This one.
Looks slightly ralph fiennes-ish
could never get into any C&C games cause UI is on a side not at the bottom like in sc/wc3/aoe games
Warcraft 3 simply because it is technologically more advanced and has more features, for example continuous terrain heights and pathable water.
RoC was garbage so SC but not by much.
TFT = BW, so they're basically equal.

Warcraft III has a great story mode. Broodwar's was sort of forgettable.
WC3 is one of the best games ever made, especially for the time.
Starcraft is for the straight, Warcraft 3 is for homosexuals
How is this even a question? Warcraft 3 isn't even an RTS.
>There was a time when Blizzard could do games like pic related
As a baseline game, starcraft is far better.
But WC3 editor makes it better when you start comparing custom maps.
Daily Reminder Warcraft lore died with WC3. WoWgays need not apply
