It doesn't really matter but I personally went Ages and then Seasons. Just play them in whatever you want to, there's no wrong answer,

This anon is right, and I went the opposite route when I first played these (Seasons>Ages). I'd start with the one whose primary mechanic sounds most appealing to you (time travel or controlling the seasons).
I would say start with Link's Awakening if you haven't played that one before, but if you're looking at these then you likely already have.

You should play Ages first because it is the lamer game and therefore you will be much more engaged when you link it with Seasons, the superior game.

This. LA is a more basic version of these so if you play this first then LA you will be disappointed

I played Link's Awakening after Seasons/Ages and found it disappointing as a kid. A lot of the bosses were jank and died to sword spam.

Yeah, I played LA after the Oracles and was similarly disappointed. I warmed up to it later over time but my initial impression of LA was that it had a particularly well-executed story but was overall worse than BOTH oracle games.

The fact that a lot of people still think that LA is better than the oracles tells me that the oracle games are pretty horribly underrated at the moment. They're top-tier 2D Zelda, particularly Ages.

      >Link's Awakening takes place on a tropical island
I don't know why but I love this kind of setting

Ages. Seasons feels like a walk in the park compared to it. Ages has a much better gamepkay gimmick than Seasons, as well. Nayru is also much hotter than Din.

You can play them in reverse order, later, and you should, as there different story outcomes in either path you take.

I played seasons first and I had a harder time with ages. I also enjoyed it less, but it is still a nice game.

They're both good. I got Seasons and my sister got Ages, so I was always more attached to Seasons. Din is most def hotter than Nayru, and getting imprisoned in a crystal is better /d/ fuel than getting possessed.

Nayru is better, din is too dark skinned for me

Still sad we never even got a romhack for a third version.

Qt tree is in Ages, which is possibly also the pinnacle of the Zelda series, unironically.

I was too stupid as a kid to beat Time, so I can only recommend Seasons since it's the only one I finished.

    Seasons into Ages imo.
Mostly because Ages has a large plot focus and is imo the more interesting game. Both are good though.

Ages is an actual game, seasons is too much of a link's awakening romhack

You should find which game you like least, and play that one first. The game you like more will be more fun to play as a linked game.
