Which version of these games should I play?
Notes:
>I'm playing on an Analogue Pocket while laying in bed, so please don't say "play the original on real hardware" because I specifically want to play while laying in bed before I sleep
>I'm playing in Japanese so please don't suggest playing a specific version based on the quality of translation patches available. My focus is the best version of the game to play
>I don't care in the slightest for extra content added to later releases, but if there's a lot and it's boring and a painbto get through then maybe warn me (please)
>Megami Tensei 1 and 2
Famicom or Kyuuyaku
Frick, somehow everything I wrote disappeared.
Here's the game list:
>Megami Tensei 1 and 2
Famicom or Kyuuyaku?
>Shin Megami Tensei 1 and 2
SNES or GBA?
>Final Fantasy 3
Famicom or Pixel Remaster (Switch)?
>Final Fantasy 4-6
SNES or GBA?
>Dragon Quest 1-3
Famicom or SNES?
>dragon quest
nes
>final fantasy
gba with sound mod
>megami tensei
shit series, dont
Why those versions?
>Shit series
I didn't ask
>Why those versions?
better balance, QoL and additions. the gba ffs have shit sound, which are fixed with the mods
>I didn't ask
you literally did ask
How do the NES versions of DQ have better QOL?
I asked what was the better version, not your opinion on SMT as a series.
>How do the NES versions of DQ have better QOL?
automation of certain options that require menu inputs like opening chests and climbing stairs for starters. slight nerf on a very annoying part of the late game in DQ2. list goes on.
>I asked what was the better version, not your opinion on SMT as a series.
and the better version is none cause the series is shit. deal with it
>Famicom or Kyuuyaku?
KMT, personally I think it butchers the aesthetic of MT 2 but for a newcomer I'd say the SNES version.
>>Shin Megami Tensei 1 and 2
The GBA version for 1, if you can tolerate worse music.
Quest 1-3
SNES for all three
Go for original versions for all of them. For Dragon Quest go for the NES versions, not Famicom.
and when you play the fan translation of a big RPG, always emulate, and always make savestate back ups or have the autosave option to at the very least save every hour.
Why
>For Dragon Quest go for the NES versions, not Famicom.
Why the hell would I do that???
>play the fan translation

For DQ3 and 4 Famicom are good if not better, but for 1 and 2 NES are better. DQ1 on Famicom characters don't even have side frames. DQ2 Famicom has an atrocious password system but DW2 has a battery save. in b4 I'll use savestates on my phone, well yeah you can do that, but there is at least ONE point where you'll have to use the password if that's okay
Ok I'll play the SNES version.
>savestates on my phone
Please learn how to read, Brazilian child.
You absolutely want your first play through of FFV to be the SNES version.
I played the GBA version many years ago but didn't finish it (I liked it though). What's different?
The GBA's translation isn't as good and has irritating character portraits. It also suffers with the same brighter pallette typical of many GBA ports. There is additional content in the GBA version which affords an enjoyable subsequent playthrough if you want to squeeze more out of the game.
Holy frick learn how to read people
Wow OP is a homosexual. Who would have guessed?
I play games while my wife and 3 children are sleeping next to me in my big bed. You can stop projecting now.
sounds gay
>person who want to play jarpigs in japanese is a whiny entitled manchild
and water is wet
>im entitled for expecting people to read something before responding to it
k
play Time Crisis. Just hold the gun in one hand and the console in the other. That's what I do
