Me, but i want to look cool on Ganker because I have no friends, so I will say it looks like pozzed shit
both my roommates are huge leftist c**ts who hate jk rowling so naturally I'm going to camp in the living room for a week playing it when it comes out
I do, gonna make a hot and evil slytherin witch.
You need to have resolve + willpower >= 7
>You need to have resolve + willpower >= 7
oops, wrong thread
>implying that this shitty game will have multiple dialogue choices or a paragon/renegade system
It's clearly going to have all that. They didn't show AK for nothing in the ending of their big gameplay reveal trailer.
I've been rereading the Chamber of Secrets (haven't read it since early high school so it's like new to me again, graduated in 2017). I really like the books and even the films are pretty good kek. I hope this game lives up to the hype.
What house are you guys going to pick? It's a toss-up between my regular houses (Slytherin and Ravenclaw) for me.
I'm thinking ravenclaw
Good choice, anon!
Did anyone here ever play the PS2 Harry Potter games when they were younger? I have them all except Goblet of Fire (I used to, but I sold it because it fricking sucks) and I really loved the Prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Phoenix, and Chamber of Secrets games. Even Half-Blood Prince was great. Never played a lot of Philosopher's Stone on PS2 (I have it in sort of trilogy collection, where the three first games and whatnot are in the same PS2 case) but I did on PS1 and it used to freak me the hell out kek. I think PS1 games were always a bit off-putting, even as a kid.
I never played them but my gf in high school liked them a lot and I watched her play through them.
Interesting. My girlfriends throughout high school were never really into Harry Potter, bar one. But even then, I don't think she ever played the games. The games, particularly Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban, are surprisingly engrossing and make you feel like a student.
>Bullying Hufflepuff girls with facts and logic
no, so far it looks like dragon age inquisition
>JK: Dumbledore is gay
Ganker: wtf is this pozzed shit? I hate Harry Potter
>JK: frick trannies frick trannies frick trannies
Ganker: based. I love Harry Potter
>Dumbledore is gay
Never read the books, or watched the movies. But, everyone should have known this. He recruits kids to a secret school to play with his wand.
I hate groomer gays more than normie gays.
Simple as.
>Ravenclaw
>Ash and Dragon Heartstring 12 1/2 inch
>Unyielding
>Hyena
The game's apparently rated 16+, so there might be romance options?
would be cool I'll play as fem shep
It received a "provisional" rating of 16+ due to the violence and blood shown in the trailers. Anyways, here's some new information that wasn't covered in the State of Play showcase
lol you cant put romance options in a game where the main character and the classmate characters are all 15-16 years old. Can you imagine the shitstorm?
Romance doesn't mean you have to show sex.
Its still pretty weird. Imagine some 30 year old streamer playing the game and picking the hottest romance option. Its not a good look
romance is usually something you have to work towards
and streamers more often than not play the absolute bare minimum of the game, one playthrough and skipping most optional content
very few read optional dialogue or lore, even less play the game more then once
*fades to black*
Goblet of Fire had a deleted scene with implied sex in it
This same film also had an ass shot of a bunch of high school age girls
I'm obviously not expecting Witcher level sex scenes but the HP franchise is no stranger to sexuality. Order Of The Phoenix had a kiss scene, and Harry was 15 in that, the same age as our player character.
Its more about the playerbase. Its going to be weird having a game played by mostly adults picking the hottest teenager they want to romance. The publisher wont want that potential hassle
persona did it just fine
Persona is literally a pedo weeb anime basement dweller game as far as normal people are concerned. Its not a mainstream game like harry potter so nobody cares if weeb games have pedo shit but will game if Harry Potter has it
4 and 5 are quite popular
Dumb take, the most popular romance stories typically revolves around high school students.
?????
I already said that Persona is a basement dweller game. Its not a normal mainstream game.
>pretending Persona isn’t normie shit
>well yeah, NOW.
nice backtracking lmao
What
>lol you cant put romance options in a WESTERN game where the main character and the classmate characters are all 15-16 years old. Can you imagine the shitstorm?
fixed it
Yes. Persona is literally some incel Japanese game. Hardly anyone even knows about it outside enthusiast forums
woah! a time traveler from 2012!
bro, you're not gonna believe what's gonna happen...
>lol you cant put romance options in a WESTERN game
fixed it
>lol you cant put romance options in a game where the main character and the classmate characters are all 15-16 years old
Persona is some weeb anime basement dweller incel game not a mainstream normalgay game like harry potter. People already assume you are pedo if you play Persona.
For once I'll willingly bump a shill because I genuinely am. It looks solid. There's always the risk of kosher meddling ruining it before it crosses the finish line.
We all remember the great work Team Black did on Cyberpunk's first Teaser Trailer before the Adams tookover the project, ruined it, and the talent went to Ruiner.
A nitpick I have is that I wish it had a total focus on puzzle solving rather than any on a combat system. I'm not really interested in fighting goblins or Centaurs compared to using spells, potions, and magic items to unlock areas in order to find more spells, potions and magic items. Sure maybe a duel system or a few "bosses" who are essentially still just puzzles. But I really hope I don't have to stop and fight goblins every ten minutes.
House Gryffindor.
I know very little about Harry Potter as I only watched the first 3 or 4 movies when I was younger and the first fantastic beasts movie. I'll probably get it just because its pretty much the only game coming out this year and it might be fun to play wizard game
Not really much to know. The main Harry Potter series can be defined under the following genres: Coming of Age, Mystery, Drama, Comedy, Romance, Action. Of all of these though, action mostly takes a backseat role throughout this franchise as characters seldom use offensive and defensive magic until Order of the Phoenix.
Wait did they ever tell us if we get to choose our houses or is there another thing that determines what house we get? Feel like directly choosing our house would be boring imo
you have to take the GOAT and then they assign you a house
As opposed to what? Generic and super obvious quizzlet? Completely random chance?
>Completely random chance
>it's tied to your account and all susequent playthroughs default to that house
yeah
that could be done right
I member some game that did some sorta tutorial / opening sequence before the actual game starts where you had to chose which characters to stick around with / believe / listen to / trust / etc with no apparent "correct" option
I liked that approach, it also adds some background to the character you're roleplaying
It'll probably be a tutorial thing where you have to choose how to deal with a combat situation and your response determines your house.
>harry potter
you need to be 18 years or older to view this site
>harry potter came out 25 years ago
now you feel old
>now you feel old
i dont
>mobage tier timed crafting with mtx timeskips
yeah im not playing this trash lmao
Let's be fricking honest, we all are
Odds on it getting delayed to 2023?
I estimate that there's a 40% chance of it getting delayed. No game is ever without a few bugs but they still gotta release a game in a state where it only happens on occasional and not all the time like it did in Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 76. There was some bugs in the trailer and even one in a recent twitter clip but that should be able to quash those issues in time for the Holiday release
One of the reasons this game looks good is because of its' single-player focus. No "monetization" (ruination) of the game.
>you need to be bug free to release
bruh that hasn't been the publisher mentality for atleast 7 years. Get with it.
most games are stores now. They sell you microtransactions. The longer you run the grindfest skinner-box, the more likely you buy a new skin for your character.
I didn't say bug free, I said make the bugs less apparent
Oh shit is that... A BUG?
Welp, can't wait to see a million threads about how this game is shit by people that will never play it.
>Odds on it getting delayed to 2023?
Highly likely i think, its taken a massive backseat in marketing compared to Gotham Knights and MultiVersus.
There's been instances of marketing on the PlayStation side of things, but I think they were trying to avoid going all with the advertisements during pride month since people are still sore about what J.K Rowling's been saying.
they've been playing the trailers for it all day at gamestop for weeks now. my roommate works there and he has been seething about it
When's the release of the switch version?
Pretty sure all versions of the game are coming out simultaneously
I've been imagining this game for years back when I was a teenager, the harry potter universe has so much potential for games I'm honestly surprised this is the first to come out after the movies.
>7 years as completely different chapters with timeskips
>hogwarts and the surroundings expand and change slightly every year
>the way you spend the holidays grants you bonuses or maluses
>your mage has a limited attention span (depending on your starting stats) so you have to decide how much attention you can pay at different lessons
>playable time starts every day after lunch
>you get a report that tells you how many xp your mage has gained from its lessons from that day
>xp gives you levels in corresponding magic types depending on what class you had your mage pay attention to
>limited time of the day, with option to stay awake at night or skip lessons depending on quest needs.
>rest of the game basically plays as a tps with magic
>spells you use more often can be cast without speaking or moving the wand, maybe without a wand
>common spells have no cooldown, specials need to be charged with a combo style meter
>elemental combination like in DOS
teenage me would have absolutely loved a game like this
More excited about the upcoming HP gachashit
Wonder how ass this is going to run on the ps4 and switch. I cant be bothered getting a PS5 yet
literally just give me a fricking british persona game and I would be happy
why would british people be hanging out in akihabara?
why would you type that out and click submit? you think pretending to be moronic is funny?
They be having a nosh outside the nandos, then going to the vue to watch a cheeky movie
Is the switch version just a cloud version?
it's an unreal engine game so probably not
Does college exist in harry potter universe? They should have done that instead as then they could have had sexy women and nudity and sex then.
>then they could have had sexy women and nudity and sex then.
but JK already confirmed the students have regular orgies and sexually experiment, especially hufflepuff. This isnt a joke.
College hasn't been interesting since the 2000s, it's place of political cult indoctrination nowadays.
it's 100% delayed until 2023. Gotham Knights has been advertised with multiple events and is coming out in the same supposed timeframe. Meanwhile HL has had 0 trailers at any of the events and isnt even being mentioned.
>Playstation has marketing exclusivity
This isn't true, peopla are just assuming this but hogwarts legacy was listed at the end of the xbox showcase as a game coming to xbox so thats disproven already. If they had exclusivity it wouldnt be on the xbox event at all.
Warner are clearly showing that this isn't coming out this year, don't get your hopes too high yet.
>Warner
They have history of rushing out games as a publisher.
>Warner
>They have history of rushing out games as a publisher.
I didn't say they don't but they do have a history of marketing their games before release. Just look at Gotham knights. Its received 2 event trailers and 2 standalone showcases. Hogwarts Legacy had its proper reveal at a playstaion event in March and has had 0 standalone showcases or trailers at the summer events. For a game that's supposed to be coming out within a month or so of Gotham Knights thats very fricking odd, especially considering its a much more popular IP as well. If this was coming this year we would literally be getting bi monthly trailers at this point. Its a 90% chance its delayed to 2023 in my books.
>timegated content
>mtx
>"guardians of the galaxy" tier gameplay
>not a single interesting character
hard pass
content
>>mtx
I thought it was single player game what the frick.
bro
quick reminder - today is the year 2022 and the game is made by the warner br
Completely btfo. It's not a Nintendo game, bro.
Theres no micro transactions but there is that shitty mobile game tier shit like MGSV mother base developments where you have to wait 2 real life hours for potions to develop or some shit like that
if you think there won't be a way to rush those upgrades for real money you're delusional
I know your right but the devs insist there is no microtransactions
>if you think there won't be a way to rush those upgrades for real money you're delusional
they already confirmed no micro transactions. They wont go back on it, this game needs as much goodwill as possible considering the trannies.
surely the game developer won't be shamelessly lying to us THIS TIME, r-right bros?
I said you were probably right. I just said the devs insist there's no mtx
>surely the game developer won't be shamelessly lying to us THIS TIME, r-right bros?
Ok I don't really care, just remember when you're wrong you own my dog a couple blowies.
I can see the PC version of this being broken at launch
I think it's going to be aggressively mediocre and ironically suck the mystery and charm out of hogwarts.
Harry Potter has always been based and comfy as frick same as LOTR
It’s the fanbase that is pozzed
>It’s the fanbase that is pozzed
Quite literally the opposite, HP is beloved by white straight people unanimously. Its the trannies and queer community that seethe all day over it.
well yeah, NOW. That's only because they had to burn their $5k worth of memorabilia and scratch off their tattoos while sobbing because J.K. Rowling said the wrongthink.
>well yeah, NOW.
nice backtracking lmao
I genuinely don't know how that happened.
So since this is on switch does that mean it will run on potato pc?
It's just a cloud streaming version on switch
>rival role is taken by some homosexual and not a cute girl
why would they deliberately chose to frick up instead of doing the right thing
merula is trash.
shut up Black person
i wouldnt say "looking forward" because it would only end in disappointment, but i will definitely play and see how it turned out
>hey guys I'm a pessimist look how many wieners I can shove in my ass at once
Nice but I don't know why you felt the need to share that with everyone anon
Reminder the dlc/pre order stuff
>Thestral Mount, Dark Arts Cosmetic Pack, Dark Arts Battle Arena, Dark Arts Garrison Hat, Steel Case, Floating Ancient Magic Wand With Box, Kelpie Robe, and 72 Hours Early Access to the game
>some of this appears to be DLC, while other bits confirm some type of collector's edition of sorts
what did he mean by this?
That was the leaked pre-order dlc, it means exactly what it says.
me
i really like to make my own mc in games
I forgot about it. I am pretty sure this will be the one game that comes out and I will be like yeah sure let‘s try it and it will be fricking great. But let‘s see on this year is tlou1, backlog backlog, pokemon backlog, pokemon violett
Quidditch is in... Right?
Yes
Probably
Any news on Cassandra's game?
who?
>chink letters
>gacha
hopefully it rots in development hell
It's already out, just no in the west. And it's kinda great.
Taiwan is not China btw
Me and only because it will make trannies seethe
