While DbD devs made a completely new model in 2020 having plenty of budget and development time. Heather is strong that's true, but she's also really emotionally vulnerable and she breaks down multiple times throughout the story because of what she was forced to experience. Even after Claudia's death she she still started crying in despair because she knows that her father is dead, she lost her family, and nothing will change that. She may have to hide those emotions from Douglas in the good ending but it doesn't change the fact that she is still clearly hurt deep down even if she is trying to hide it.
The athmosphere was just on anothe level in SH. How is liking that masterfully creepy atmosphere weird? I'm not saying RE was bad, but the super natural stuff in SH was just in another level.

The PC version of this game is pretty good with mods. You can 60fps, controller support, and graphics mods that make it look like ps2. There are some small changes and effects missing, but I'd probably go with Pc versionn. Make sure you get the audio mods, cuz PC version has shit audio.
