Right, I also feel Finland is the "craziest" when taking in my own judgement of how much each given game matters, valuing dominance even in eras when there weren't multi-million dollar prize pool tournaments, etc, but if we look at total earnings (which admittedly doesn't capture the whole picture because winning one Dota 2 or CS:GO tournament makes you more money than being the best, most winningest, SC2 player of all time, let alone dominating some less known game, but it at least frees you up from making subjective value judgements over if being successful at Arena of Valor, which apparently is the 5th highest-earning e-sport but a game that I didn't even know exists, or whatever, "counts") then it's China number one, followed up by US, Worst Korea, and Russia, which isn't too surprising because they're populous countries, but then it's Denmark and Sweden (Finland is #12), which actually puts Denmark as the #1 e-sports earnings per capita, followed up by Finland at number 2, Sweden as third, and probably South-Korea as fourth although I didn't calculate it for all plausible candidates and some small country like Estonia might have made the upset.

Jordan has two star Dota 2 players, Miracle- (4.9M winnings) and YapzOr (2.3M winnings). Both are broadly accomplished in numerous tournaments, although most of their wins are from Dota TI medal rankings, and Dota makes up 92% of Jordanian e-sports winnings almost all of which by these two players (in contrast, Finland gets 57% from Dota, Sweden 30% from Dota, Denmark 40% from CS:GO, and Korea 26% from League). So it's as you say, it's three or so big finishes by two players. Bulgaria on the other hand seems more diversified, 59% of the winnings coming from Dota by several players.

There are multiple factors (having nothing to do but sit inside during long winters, social safety nets, etc, undoubtedly contribute somewhat), but in my judgement the biggest one actually is them being early adopters of the Internet, and their early-90s online culture (predating WWW), which meant the framework for a competitive scene was already there. Consider for instance big LAN parties like Assembly in Finland and DreamHack in Sweden (which themselves didn't spring up from nothing but emerged from extant communities) that were originally less about competitive gaming specifically, but were pioneers in it nevertheless.
Competitive scene with tournaments and money were big in Nordic countries before professional e-sports were even a thing, so it's not surprising that they got a head start, and nowadays there's a lot of institutional knowledge and infrastructure built from that prior success. I think this is the favored explanation because others tend to be contradicted by evidence, and we see institutional explanation working in other cases as well: consider for instance Dota 2 in South-America. It used to be a fricking joke, SA teams getting invited to TI thanks to their own qualifier slot even though the teams in actuality were like #50 in the world, and proceeding to finish the tournament in the shared last place, but with this monetary incentive in place, the scene has grown tremendously in just a couple of years, and in TI of 2022 Peruvian Thunder Awaken got 5-6th place and Brazilian beastcoast 7th-8th: they're now an entirely respectable region that has produced star players that have been sought-after by international teams. Yet all the things about climate or economy or whatever remain the same in SA, so it has to be about building up a scene. Ditto for Brood War: it didn't become a thing because of Korean clicking speed, but emerged from their PC Bang culture (like Nordic FPS culture emerged from their online culture and big LANs).

Growing up, I never did much research on the games I played. I would pick up what seemed interesting and if it was fun I’d finish it. I started to notice there were certain games I’d avoid or skip because they never caught my interest, I started noticing…patterns. Then I came to the realization a couple years back that all of those games were made by ukrainian or polish devs. I guess racism isn’t learned, must be genetic.

My friend earns 150,000 rub in St Petersburg as a program tester for gazprombank from home, and my ex works in rural average town, at an expensive high-ish class confectionary/cafe for 12 hours with 1 hour break (in reality 13 hours cos she needs to open and close, and no breaks because she is alone with no backup to man the bar, and WILL get fired without severance for any bullshit reason her boss wants) and makes 30,000-60,000 depending on the season.

The best SC2 players are also foreigners and it's about 50-50 at the top (Finnish Serral and Italian Reynor have been the best Zergs and the most dominant players in general, French Clem is contending Maru for the title of best Terran, and Danish MaxPax and American Neeb are candidates for the best Protoss), same for WC3 with challengers from China and Europe, and Age of Empires 2 is mostly Europeans with very little Korean presence.
The only game Koreans "dominate" is Brood War, but it never had a successful foreign scene (I nevertheless view it as one of the more prestigious e-sports to be good at), or maybe Overwatch as well (although by my reckoning it suffers from the same issue: as far as I know most people didn't give a shit even though a lot of tournament money was pumped into it, and Koreans were the only ones following the money). There are other games where they're overrepresented (SC2, WC3, AoE2, PUBG), but I wouldn't call them dominant in any of those games. So they're doing both better (top-placements in genres you didn't list, like FPS, although short of dominance) and worse (being contested or even irrelevant in some top e-sport games within RTS/ASSgay genres) than you claim.
