why aren't the MGS games on pc? I don't want to emulate, I want an actual port of them and I especially want cheevos and trading cards+badges

MGS1 and MGS2 are. I think the first is even free if you look for it.
I gotta warn you though, they have shit controls on PC. It's easier to play them with a gamepad.
MGS1 plays fine since it was made with digital controls.
>I don't want to emulate
Too bad, gay. That's the best way to play them in current year.
>emulate MGS3
>can't interrogate scientists
>B-BUT bind the f-face buttons to the triggers
still an inferior experience
you can use PS2 controllers on emulators. does pcsx2 support pressure sensitivity? or even rpcs3 since mgs3 is on the hd collection
get a PS2 or 3 controller ya gay moron.
MGSV is on PC.
So the only games missing from PC are MGS3, MGS4 and the PSP games.
All easy to emulate nowadays.
GOG has a few of them. The Steam versions are a parachute for when Konami gets into financial trouble
>I especially want cheevos and trading cards+badges
RPCS3 has achievements
>emulate
ewwy. no cheevos
RPCS3 has achievements
still emulation cringe
have a nice day autist
Because Konami are probably still seething over Kojima and would rather let them rot or remake them entirely so they can strip his name from them.
MGS3 is impossible to play without the pressure sensitive buttons on the PS2.
i played it just fine on the 360
No it isn't and you can use a DS2/3 on PC.
2 and 3, maybe even 4, all use pressure sensitive controls, for one
Secondly, every boss would be a cakewalk with M/KB aim
Third, Konami are morons
I don't know. Konami recently ported a few games with GOG, but their selection was eclectic to say the fricking least and I don't think it got the traction they wanted to greenlight further ports.
>silent hill 4
2 and 3 are literally on PC why is konami so moronic
>GOG
there's your problem. no one uses GOG
>greenlight further ports
I doubt these were Konami, pretty sure GOG approached them. You can tell because the games are just their original PC releases tossed onto a storefront.
Silent Hill 1, 2, and 3 all have voice actor rights isuses
>Konami recently ported a few games with GOG
By recently, you mean 20 years ago.
Konamis higherups unironically have a grudge against the mgs series and they let this grudge prioritize potential emone.
Not only do they not port the new games to PC, but they've removed the HD collection off all storefronts apparently.
>buy PS3 for $150
>buy MGS Legacy Collection for $40
>if MGS1 code isn't there, just buy MGS1 on PC for $5
>???
>Profit
That gives you access to Metal Gear 1, 2, and MGS1-4 + Peace Walker. Game order is
>Metal Gear (found in MGS3 HD)
>Metal Gear 2 (see above)
>Metal Gear Solid (on PSN, digital code in Legacy Collection basically never expires)
>Metal Gear Solid VR Missions (like $5 on PSN, not hard to emulate)
>Metal Gear Solid 2 (Tanker-Plant)
>Metal Gear Solid 3
>Portable Ops (PSP only)
>Metal Gear Solid 4
>Peace Walker (if you own a PSP with a PSP version of the game, there is a save transfer feature on the HD version)
>Rising: Revengeance
>Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (recommend you play on PC)
>Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (see above)
Also, if you want achievements
Good fricking luck with MGS1 Snake's VR Missions in MGS2. I 100%'d everything else, but pretty much gave up with some of his scenarios
>PC
when is mgs3 coming back to the store?
When Konami decides to remake MGS3 but without the """""SOVL"""""
I'm entirely against remakes/rehashes/collections/remasters/whatever of anything but if there's ONE game I'd love to play a remake of it would be MGS3 with V's gameplay. Or at least I'd love to play some jungle survival version of MGSV.
Are we sure it wouldn't just be to MGS3 what TTS was to MGS?
That would suck
The idea is to actually rebuild the game with bigger, more open areas and way more guards.
>i want badges and steam achievements
Based asf
>i want badges and steam achievements
homosexual
Reminder that Metal Gear's 35th anniversary is next week
Which realistically means NFTs
What are steam trading cards used for anyway
