I don't understand people who want a multiplayer shooter to the mpelte change itself between entries, the entire point it to iterate on the core formula people enjoy. If Splatoon suddenly became a sports management sim no one would fricking want it.

Honestly speaking, nothing they've shown has interested me really. Octarians again but this time they're fuzzy? Marie and Callie AGAIN? I thought they learned from Octo Expansion that it's way better when they branched out but instead this just feels like the same problem 2's campaign had in that it was just a poor retread of 1's. Also again the multiplayer looks like it has no major mixup besides new specials.
That said, I put in hundreds of hours into 1 and 2, so I'm still going to buy it when it comes out and love it. It's very much Nintendo's Call of Duty. I don't get excited for it, but a month or two out I'll remember it's coming out, get a little hyped for it, then get my hands on it and absolutely dive into it.
Splatoon was fricking great. Fresh and addictive, it was just plain fun. Splatoon 2 was more of the same, but minor improvements that didn't really change much. It was fine, but if you dived into Splatoon 1, Splatoon 2 felt like a rehash. Splatoon 3 looks like more of the same with a few more minor gimmicks thrown in. I think I would've preferred a live service game at this point.
I think the changes will be much larger. 2 was shit out to replace 1 because Nintendo had to rid themselves of the Wii U sooner than expected. 3 has potentially had the dev time to be the first "real" sequel.
I'm too moronic to figure out motion controls and only do okayish with sticks. I want a mouse and keyboard setup without some device that that emulates the inputs.
